Chapter 7 Secret of the Miraculous

               Chloe's POV:
Chloe sure hopes none of the fairies remove the miraculous.

She knows it can not be easy on them.

She has to wear her's every day and night.

Chloe sighs as she looks at the photo of her crush. She wonders what has become of him. It has been years since she last saw him. She worries for him.

"Sis, have you heard anything about Nathaniel?" Chloe asks.

             "No, sorry, Chole,"  Aurore answers.

"I  wish I knew how to contact him," Chole replies.

"Chloe, it has been four years since he moved away,"  Aurore reminds her as her miraculous glows dark green with a hint of blue.

"Aurore, you do not know how it feels to be in love," Chloe responds. She sobs as her miraculous glows blue, red, and pink.  She knows what this means, but it does not solve anything.

                Aurore's  POV:
Aurore walks away in a huff.

She wonders why Chole does not fly to see him.

She knows about her secret because she is a fairy too.

Aurore begins to sing, "Oh, to have a miraculous is a great privilege, but it is also a huge responsibility!   It is not to be taken lightly.  Those who have one should wear it always so as not to be hurt or killed by those that are not part of the fairies."

           Marinette's POV:
Marinette wakes up and realizes Adrien's arms are around her.  She blushes and thinks he is cute.  She is glad he is here to keep her company.  She misses her cousin but is afraid to tell Adrien anything about her.  She can not let him know she is a fairy.

She sighs as she thinks about the earrings she wears. She recalls how they are Miraculous.

She does wonder though why is it they glow?  What could the different colors mean anyway?   It is not like she knows all there is know about the jewelry.  She wishes she knew where Chole is so she could ask her.

"Adrien, I better go," Marinette says.

Marinette looks at him as he smiles in his sleep. She thinks how can I leave him when he looks so happy?

"Adrien, thank you for all you have done for me," She says sadly.

         Adrien's POV:
Adrien wakes up and smiles at her.  He realizes he still holds her close and blushes.

He lets go of her but wishes he did not need too.

"Marinette, I am truly sorry about your cousin.  It must have been hard on you,"  He says.

"Most of my family is dead other than my brother and me," Adrien tells her.

"Adrien, I better go,"  Marinette remarks again.

"Please stay, I promise not to tell anyone that I gave you a hug earlier," Adrien says.

"Adrien, I have some things to clear up.  I will come back another day," She tells him.

Adrien frowns as he watches her go. He thinks so this is it huh?  He should have known she will just walk away like anyone else he has ever cared about in the past.

He sighs as he thinks about the miraculous and begins to wonders if it was a mistake to put it on in the first place. He believes the ring is something special, but is it worth it?

          Narrator's  POV:

The  Miraculous is something not to be abused.

The wearers must be careful not to let their guards down.

Although it is true the fairies wear them to hide their real selves they also contain other secrets yet to be found.

Each one glows blue when he or she is sad, light green when they are angry, yellow if they are confused, red when they fall in love, and purple when a person is sick.

If a dark green is seen this means the wearer suffers from jealousy.

The jewelry rather it is a ring, earrings, bracelet, anklet, or necklace turns pink if the wearer's love is lost or apart from them.

On rare occasions, a miraculous may glow gold, but this is typically when danger is around. Otherwise, the pieces stay gray.   A few may glow a blend of colors if the holder experiences more than one emotion at a time.  For example Blue and Red if the fairy is sad and in love at the same time.

The self safe mode to keep outsiders from noticing anything special about it is for it to remain gray.   This way the non-fairy or human will not recognize it for what it is a Miraculous.

        Adrien's  POV:

Adrien sees his ring glow red with a small hint of red and yellow. He thinks great just great.

He wishes he could just tell her he is a fairy.  He knows that is impossible because she would have to love him in return.  It is not like she is a fairy, right?

        Marinette's  POV:

As I walk away I feel tears form in my eyes because I am sure that I love him, but how?

" How can I love Adrien when he is not a fairy or is he?"  She asks herself.

Marinette's earrings glow blue, yellow and red.  She does not notice she has no mirror close by, but if she had she would have been in shock to see the pattern of the colors.

  Narrator's  POV:

The fairy doctor, Marinette's uncle well his bracelet glows a bright blue color with a small dot of pink in the middle.  This makes sense as his daughter was the one to die and now his niece is without her cousin. He feels bad that he could not help his sweet child to live longer.

He does not know what to do so he just sobs hysterically with some tears hitting the jewelry on his wrist.  He does not wipe them away instead he just lets them fall. He knows sometimes you just need a good cry now and then.

  Fairy Doctor's  POV:

"Oh, my daughter, I am sorry you are lost.  Lost in death never to be found again,"  He says.

He feels sorry for himself since he loved his daughter so much and for his niece whose last cousin is no longer among them.

Little does he know that other fairies still live.  He believes they all died years ago other than himself and Marinette.

He lost hope in finding them as he lost his flesh and blood.

He thinks it is sad how things turn out sometimes.

He removes the bracelet because he figures what good does it do anyway.

The distraught fairy tosses his one chance at finding the others to the side and sobs.  He weeps until he falls asleep.
