"Adrien, are you going to introduce me to your girlfriend?"  Luka asks.

     "Girlfriend, you could hardly call me his girlfriend," She says. She blushes.

     "Goodness, brother, can not you see you are embarrassing her?"  Adrien asks.

     "I just met him today,"  Marinette explains.

   "As she says, this is Marinette, and Marinette this is my brother Luka by adoption," Adrien tells her.

    "Nice to meet you, Marinette,"  Luka says.
  
   "Nice to meet you too,"  Marinette remarks.

   "I think I will call my girlfriend and see if she wants to join us,"  Luka says.

    "Girlfriend, Luka, since when have you have you had one of those?"  Adrien asks.

   "Brother, you need to get out more.  I have only been dating for four months,"  Luka responds.

       Luka leaves to go make a phone call leaving Adrien alone with Marinette once more.
  
        "Your brother seems nice," Marinette says.

        "Yes, I suppose he is," Adrien says with a frown.

      "Adrien, it is okay, I do not seem him like that you know," Marinette says.

     "Wh-what are you g-getting at M-Marinette?"  Adrien mutters.

      " I mean that I do not like him,"  Marinette says.

      "Are you kidding me?  There is not a girl in town who is not head over heels for him," Adrien states.  He looks rather upset as he speaks.

     "Adrien, I mean it,"  Marinette says. She reaches over and grabs his hand.

      Adrien does not pull away and finds to his surprise he does not want too.  He knows his brother has not tried to set him before with a girl.  He did not like her.  Somehow, with this one, it is different even though they met by accident.

     Adrien's POV:
   Marinette, I think I like you.
    
    He blushes at her touch.

 Marinette's  POV:
   I see his face turn red. 
  
It makes me wonder, did I do something wrong?

 She is not sure what to think since she is too familiar with human relations.



    Luka finishes his phone call and comes back to the living room area where Adrien and Marinette are currently. He smiles at them. 

  "Good news, she says she will be right over," Luka says.

"Oh, I better go," Marinette says and stands up.

"M-Marinette, you could stay to meet Luka's girl though first, right?"  Adrien asks.

"Sure, why not," Marinette says and sits back down.

   Adrien grins.  He is glad she agrees to say and blushes when he realizes she still holds his hand.


      Ten minutes later, Luka hears the doorbell ring and answers it. He is glad to see it is her. He lets her inside.  "Babe, glad you could make it,"  Luka says.

   "Well, you know me, I want to meet your brother, and his little friend," She says.

   "Go ahead then, they are in the living room, Kagami,"  Luka says.

    "All right,"  Kagami says and goes in that direction.

   "Hi, I am Kagami, Luka's girlfriend, you must be Adrien," She says.

   "Yes, that is me, and this is my new friend, Marinette,"  He says.

   "Nice to meet you, Kagami,"  Marinette says.

   "Did Luka tell me it is my birthday, today?"   Kagami asks.

   "No," Adrien answers.

"I am sure he did not," Marinette replies.

   "Kagami, I am making you all your favorites for your birthday! " Luka calls from the kitchen.

       Kagami goes back to Luka.  "Luka, dear, is it okay if  Adrien and Marinette join us?" She asks.

   "Sure, that sounds fine, sweetheart," Luka says.

    "Great, I will let them know," Kagami remarks. She kisses Luka, then goes back to the living room.

   "Luka says you are both welcome to join us for my birthday meal," Kagami says.

   "Oh, but I do not want you to go through all that extra trouble,"  Marinette protest.

 "Nonsense, Marinette, it is no trouble at all, besides Adrien here could use some company of his own,"   Kagami says. 

      Kagami's  POV:
      One thing is for sure those two deserve each other.  

    She thinks, I know I just met Marinette, but somehow I think she will be good for Adrien.

    Luka's POV:
     I sure hope Adrien asks Marinette out.

    She is a cute little thing, but she is more of Adrien's type.

    Besides, Kagami's my girl.


     Thirty minutes later, after Kagami finishes telling Adrien and Marinette how she and Luka met, Luka says,  "Everyone the food is ready."

      Marinette wonders what the meal will be and hopes it is not shushi or steak. She does not eat either of those items.  She sees Luka pull out a chair, for Kagami, then sees him sit down across from her.

   Next, Adrien pulls out a chair for Marinette, and she sits down beside Kagami with Adrien across from her.

    After the blessing, Marinette blushes because everyone held hands during it, but Adrien has yet to let go of her hand he holds in his.  
    
    "Here, Adrien, you can pass the salad, croutons, and dressing to Marinette,"  Luka says.

 "Thanks, bro," Adrien says.  He fixes himself some salad, adds some croutons, and Ranch dressing, then hands it off to Marinette.

    Marinette smiles as she fixes herself some salad and adds some of the same dressing as Adrien to her's.  She does not put any croutons because she does not like them. Then, she passes it to Luka.  

   Next, everyone passes around the macaroni and cheese, the roasted chicken, and the green beans.

    Marinette is more than happy to try the macaroni and cheese, and roasted chicken.  She adds a few green beans to her plate as well.

  The others do the same once it is passed to them.

   Now, as everyone eats  Marinette thinks about how nice this day turns out to be and wonders if it were not for Luka's girl would she have been invited for dinner?

   Adrien smiles at Marinette as she takes a bite of the salad. He thinks she sure is cute. He blushes.  He eats his food in silence too.

   "Kagami tells me she thinks you two should join us again next weekend for dinner,"  Luka says.

     "Sorry, but I have plans next weekend,"  Marinette says.

     "Oh, how come?"  Adrien says. He looks a bit disappointed.

   "I just do that is all,"  Marinette says.
 
  "Awe, that is too bad,"  Luka remarks.

  "It is a shame, but if you are busy, then that is that then,"  Kagami responds.

    "Marinette, why want you tell us what your plans are?"  Adrien asks. He looks upset.

   "Sorry, but that is none of your concern,"  Marinette replies.

       After the meal, Marinette goes back outside and sits in the garden.  Adrien follows her.  Luka and Kagami decide it is best not to disturb them. They wash up the dishes, then Luka smiles as Kagami opens her gifts he got her.

       Adrien sits beside Marinette in the garden. He does not say a word to her.  He just looks at her with a hurt expression in his eyes.  
      Marinette holds his hand.  She thinks, sorry, Adrien, but I can not tell you.  She knows it is something she is not ready to share with anyone else.  Not yet anyway.
