Day 12

It was the day before Jewel's birthday and, although she had been excited for this event since coming back from her honeymoon with her beloved, Jenna dreaded to see her sister in the same room as her.

The shock of the memory replaying in her mind throughout the quiet night, she hadn't managed to get even a wink of sleep since yesterday.

Ace could be kind of an oblivious idiot when it comes to women attracted to him, but whenever he was around her (Jewel) then he seemed to blush.

She sighed, not from sorrow but from exasperation of the situation that had happened.

And what was that about a 'punishment' that he wasn't going to like?

-Flashback-

"Have you...been seeing sis lately?"

The brunette bit her lip, unsure of whether she wanted to hear the reply or not. Her hazel eyes were focused on the dark ones that was Ace's, transfixed on a one way inwardly cry of pleas.

"Yeah, kinda." Ace said bluntly.

Jenna looked hurt for a moment. Before her face scrunched up with anger and she balled her hand into a fist, gaining a curious glance at it from the male, but, before he could ask what was wrong, the infuriated kitsune girl pulled her arm back then punched him square on the nose.

-End of Flashback-

So that was what has come to the current situation, her being holed up in Thatch's room and hiding from concerned Whitebeard crew members.

She felt depressed and couldn't believe that her own husband would admit something as horrid as that. What was worse was that it was with her sister.

Jenna gritted her teeth and growled lowly, small white flames slowly starting to crawl up her arms and back as her Devil Fruit began to activate and take over.

However her train of thought was interrupted by a soft knocking on wood.

"Come in, Thatch..." She muttered dejectedly and hugged her face to a pillow.

A head poked in, worried eyes scanning over the gloomy female as she silently cried.

"Jenna, we need to talk."

Her head shot up after hearing Ace's voice, eyes widened and lips curling into a frown.

"Go away." She muttered bitterly and, once again, buried her face into the pillow.

The raven haired pirate sighed quietly and, despite the request of his wife to be left alone, he entered the room and shut the door.

Her ears twitched as the soft thudding of his boots made its way towards the bed. But she was too angry to even speak another word to him. Why waste her breath, right?

"Jenna, come on, stop sulking."

Ace halfheartedly pleaded as he took a seat next to her. He didn't understand what got her suddenly so gloomy lately, but he didn't like it one bit.

"Look. Whatever I did wrong, I'm sorry, okay?" He pouted and poked her head gently.

Jenna grabbed his wrist and gripped it, nearly crushing his bones from bottled up rage. The betrayal was one thing, but his half-assed apology was even worse.

"HOW COULD YOU CHEAT ON ME WITH MY SISTER?!" She yelled.

Ace stiffened in shock and stared at the girl. Her hazel eyes burned with anger and he could tell that, whatever he did, he is in deep trouble.

"What the hell are you talking about?" He yelled back confusedly. "There is no way I would cheat on you. ESPECIALLY with your sister. She's crazy!" He added.

There was a silent and confused pause from both parties.

"If you're not with my sister, then..." Jenna trailed off, even more confused.

"Which I'll never be caught doing in this lifetime." Ace chuckled. "Only Sabo would be crazy enough to date her, propose to her even."

He took off his hat and set it on her head, pulling the rim down to cover her eyes, and smiled.

"You know you're the only one for me, baby girl." He wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled the blushing girl closer to him.

Jenna relaxed a bit and nuzzled into his side, her white tail swishing back and forth as her lover raised his gripped hand up to his lips, kissing the wedding ring that matched his own.

"And you'll always will be..."
