You are in the barracks cleaning your stuff up but you can't stop thinking that your dad (Admiral Marcus Hayes) had something to do with your rank so you decide to confront him. Luckily for you, he is on base and you have forty-five minutes to talk to him. You've finished getting your stuff ready so you head to his office. The commander of team six (Jamie Ellingham) is there as well.

"Sorry for interrupting sir," you say as you stand to attention even though he is your dad 

"at ease sweetie," Marcus says as he looks you up and down

"what can I do for you?"

"It's about the post listings," you reply with an air of suspicion 

"You must be Celeste welcome to the team," Jamie says as he offers his hand for a handshake

"thank you, lieutenant," you say taking his hand firmly 

"We were just talking about your amazing achievement," Ellingham remarks to compliment you on your achievement 

"thank you, sir," you say smiling because you got a compliment form the leader of a top tier squad but you are unsure of how to really take it.

"but that's why I'm here, Dad did you use your influence  to get me on team six?"

"You know I would never use my influence to get you through the training on top. Your dismissed Jamie," your dad says thinking you would like to talk in privet 

"thank you, sir,"  Jamie says throwing a quick salute as he leaves

"Look, Dad, I'm sorry but I needed to know," you say feeling a little bit better. You still feel like he has done something but you decide to leave the subject.

"your definitely a dad's girl but be careful about questioning authority," he warns you but it makes you giggle because he was like that 

"dad you do realise you told me you had an authority issue when you first joined," you say reflecting on the stories your dad told you when you were younger 

"true but only because I had the wrong morals," he retorts making you giggle

"Anyway, dad I'd better get going," you say realising you want to say goodbye to your friends. You are happy that you have got the situation somewhat under control

"good luck with your assignment," he says as you leave

Five minutes later and you have made it back to the barracks to grab your stuff when you are stopped

"Celeste are you ready? because we should go," James says as he places his backpack on his shoulder

"Funny you should mention that I was just going to grab my stuff," you respond really wanting to playfully punch him

"ok well grab your stuff we'll go together," James remarks shyly 

"Oh come on don't tell me you are going shy," you say teasing him because he has this nasty habit of going shy when he thinks he has done something wrong. He shrugs and smiles which confirmes the fact he has gone shy.

"let's go," you place one of your bags on your back and the other on your shoulder. You start to leave.

"that would be a good idea," James says soon following you

"we will be early though,"

"The earlier the batter," you say happily that the second worst part of your training is over
