you and Celeste are waiting for the commander of SEAL team six Jamie Ellingham

"I wonder how long the commander is going  to take," you remark because you are thinking about it 

"well I don't know he was talking to my dad and then he dismissed him when I went to talk to him," Celeste replies

"Celeste, James" Jamie says grabbing your attention

"Yes Sir," you reply as both of you salute

"Lieutenant Jamie Ellingham at ease," Jamie says 

"Sir we've already met," Celeste says obviously thinking he was introducing himself to the both of you

"I know but Sargent Dameron won't know my name and please call me sir when we are talking about a formal mission and speaking of missions we should go," Jamie says as he checks his watch

"Sorry, Jamie,"  Celeste says a little ashamed 

"don't worry it's happened to me before," you say thinking about your longtime best friend Cameron Stiglitz 

"look we all make mistakes some worse than others but it's all the same," Jamie says giving words of wisdom

"Let's go"

thirty minutes later and you have made it to the main base of SEAL team six and you are talking to one of the members

"Nice to meet you, James,"

"Likewise Jax," you say happy that you are finished with training 

"Do you know what the freshmen's first mission is going to be?" your long-time best friend Cameron Stiglitz asks

"Well, Stiglitz we will find out soon," another teammate replies beating you to the response

A minute later there is a break in Cameron and Celeste's conversation so you decide to join it by approaching them

"Still haven't lost the accent, Cam," you remark

"Nein that ain't ever gonna happen," Stiglitz retorts

"how?" Celeste is about to ask but Stiglitz beats her to it

"how did we know each other? James was the only one to sit next to me without mention world war one or two," he says recalling his childhood

"Celeste why don't you talk to everyone else," you ask because you've noticed the fact that she hasn't talked to anyone 

"we have time later," she replies

"True..." you trail off because you don't know how to respond from there

"ATTENTION!" Jamie shouts getting everyone to shuffle to attention

He enters the room properly and he is followed by a captain

"at ease everyone," everyone takes a seat

"everyone there is one thing I need to clear up, we have two new members who will be joining us and they are Celeste Hayes and James Dameron," he announces

"and the next thing I will let Captain Holmes explain,"

"thank you," the captain says

"I assume you are all aware of the refugee crisis in Syria," the captain starts his briefing

A small ripple of affirmation flows through the room

"the UN has requested that we assist in the rescue of fifteen hostages including three UN peacemakers," 

"what was their last known location, Sir?" Oliver Scott asks

"the last time we were updated the group was heading towards a border town near Iraq," the captain replies grimly because if the group goes over the border it would make the team's job harder

"do you know if the group is ISIS?" you ask because of your curiosity 

"it's very likely," the captain replies

"when do we leave?" one of the teammates that you've yet to introduce yourself to asks

"ETD two hours," Jamie replies

"everyone is now dismissed," the captain says 

An hour and fifty minutes later you are ready so you have decided to board the C-17 that will be taking the team to Syria you've sat in one seat over from Cameron in case Celeste wants to sit between you two.

"are you nervous?" Stiglitz asks to start a conversation

"A little bit but it's more because we will be in a plane for a while," you reply 

"true but the C-17 is reasonable it's a good thing it's not a Tupolev," Stiglitz retorts

"ok I have no idea what you are talking about but now I am less nervous," you respond a little confused

"and no I haven't forgotten your love of planes. Please remind me why you didn't join the air force?"

"because I wanted to join the navy so I could be part of the SEALs," he retorts getting a giggle from you

"what is my accent that bad," 

"no, it's the fact you have a lot of knowledge about planes yet you joined a land-based unit," you retort

Five minutes later Celeste has boarded the plane with all her supplies

"Celeste, what took you so long?" Oliver's brother Jay asks basically teasing her

"you try adding medical supplies to the list of clothing, weapons and other gear," Celeste retorts as she sits in between you and Cameron

"and I know what you are going to say, Jay," 

"and what was that?" Jay asks a little bit curious as to what she means

"I can get supplies when we arrive so why would I take them with me," she replies with a slightly smug look

"wow I can see why you made it to team six," Jay says getting a giggle from Celeste

"Hey, Celeste are you glad to be underway?" you ask because you can feel the C-17 shudder to life

"yes," she states confidently

 "that's good. I've only noticed now but you look concerned," you remark because you have a feeling that something is wrong 

"my mum is a UN peacekeeper in Sirya and I think she might be one of the hostages," Celeste replies obviously not wanting to talk about it

"well we will do our best to rescue her if she is one of the UN peacekeepers," Jay chimes in

"I know I'm not trying to think about the mission till we get more info," she replies trying to be more optimistic 

"anyway I'm gonna hit the maps," Celeste gets a tablet out that has all the info including maps

"ok," you respond because you know she is an antisocial reader
