You and James are waiting for Jamie to finish what he was doing at the base 

"I wonder how long the commander is going to take," James says thinking about it with a considerable amount of thought.

"well I don't know he was talking to my Dad and then he dismissed him when I went to talk to him," you respond but you don't know what happened after he left

"Celeste, James," Jamie says catching both of your attention

"yes sir," James replies as you both salute

"Lieutenant Jamie Ellingham at ease," he replies introducing himself

"Sir we've already met," you remark thinking he was introducing himself to the both of you

"I know but Sargent Dameron won't know my name and please call me sir when we are talking about a formal mission and speaking of missions we should go," he responds checking his watch because he thinks he is going to be late 

"sorry Jamie," you reply a little ashamed at your blunder.

"Don't worry Celeste it has happened to me before," James says making you feel better 

"look we all make mistakes some worse than others but it's all the same," Jamie says giving you some words of wisdom.

"let's go," Thirty minutes later and you all have made it to the main base of seal team six and everyone is gathered in the briefing room 

"do you know what the freshmen's first mission is going to be?" one of the eager members says

"Well, Stiglitz we will find out soon," another teammate replies 

"Oliver Scott, by the way" the man who answered Stiglitz's question introduces himself

"I leave you in the capable hands of Stig" 

"ok," you respond knowing Jamie will introduce you to him properly as soon as he is done talking to his superiors

"Cameron Stiglitz, nice to meet ya," the one that asked about the next mission leans in next to you and introduces himself 

"Stiglitz sounds German," you say thinking that he might have German descent

"and my name is Celeste," 

"You must have an ear for accents, my dad, Ma and  uncle were from Germany, they moved when I was nine"  he replies with a little hint of excitement 

" let's see if you understand some German schöner Name und nettes Treffen mit Ihnen (nice name and nice meeting you)," 

"something about my name?" you say a little confused 

"Ja it means nice name and nice meeting you," he confirms. James approaches you and Stiglitz

"Still haven't lost the accent, Cam," James remarks with a broad smile across his face.

"Nein that ain't ever gonna happen," he responds 

"how?" you are about to ask a question but you are cut off by James's response 

"how did we know each other? James was the only one to sit next to me without mention world war one or two," he says recalling his childhood with a fond passion

"Celeste why don't you talk to everyone else," James asks 

"We have time later," you respond

"True..." James says trailing off

"ATTENTION!" Jamie shouts getting everyone to shuffle to attention. He enters the room properly and he is followed by a captain

"at ease everyone," everyone  takes a seat

"everyone there is one thing I need to clear up, we have two new members who will be joining us and they are Celeste Hayes and James Dameron," he announces

"and the next thing I will let Captain Holmes explain," 

"thank you," the captain responds as he moves towards a screen. 

"I assume you are all aware of the refugee crisis in Syria," the captain starts his briefing. A small ripple of affirmation flows through the room

"the UN has requested that we assist in the rescue of fifteen hostages including three UN peacemakers,"  your heart sinks because your mum is a peacekeeper in Sirya 

"what was their last known location, Sir?" Oliver Scott asks

"the last time we were updated the group was heading towards a border town near Iraq," the captain replies grimly because if the group goes over the border it would make the team's job harder

"do you know if the group is ISIS?" James asks with a lot of concern

"it's very likely," the captain replies in a grim tone

"when do we leave?" one of the teammates that you've yet to introduce yourself to asks

"ETD two hours," Jamie replies

"everyone is now dismissed," the captain says 

An hour and fifty-five minutes later and you have gotten everything ready and you have also boarded the C-17 that will take the team to Sirya. You've ended up meeting everyone in team six as well

"Celeste, what took you so long?" Oliver's brother Jay asks basically teasing you

"you try adding medical supplies to the list of clothing, weapons and other gear,"  you respond as you sit in the seat between Stiglitz and James

"and I know what you are going to say, Jay," 

"and what was that?" he asks a little curiously

"I can get supplies when we arrive so why would I take them with me," you reply with a slightly smug look

"wow I can see why you made it to team six," Jay says getting a giggle from you

"Hey, Celeste are you glad to be underway?" James asks feeling the C-17 shudder to life

"yes," you state confidently because of your training

"that's good. I've only noticed now but you look concerned," James says sensing something is wrong

"my mum is a UN peacekeeper in Sirya and I think she might be one of the hostages," you respond not wanting to think about it

"well we will do our best to rescue her if she is one of the UN peacekeepers," Jay chimes in which makes you feel a little better 

"I know I'm not trying to think about the mission till we get more info," you say trying to be a bit more optimistic 

"anyway I'm gonna hit the maps," you take out a tablet with quite a lot of information that includes maps. 

"ok," James replies knowing you will be anti-social because you are reading
