🌹 The Prison Break

Tons of guards were surrounding the blue lacrima, but this didn't deter the journalist or the two dragon slayers. If anything, it made it more exciting.  Thousands of people were also surrounding the lacrima, all cheering at the taught of having magic again.

Drums beat to a rythmic beat while disguised people wearing masks followed, staffs in hand.

Edo-Gajeel slid up next to one of the guards, notepad in hand. "So, it has finally started," He began.

"Yes," The guard answered. "With this, the kingdom will finally be secure."

"This is the south side," Edo-Gajeel hummed. "The east and west sides are perfectly guarded as well, I presume?"

"Actually, there's no place for any suspicious people to hide on the east or west side, so there's not need to guard it." The guard replied before adding hastily. "Hey! Don't you dare put that in the article!"

"Of course not!" Edo-Gajeel assured. "I know well the kinds of things I should and shouldn't write. For I am a journalist!"

While Edo-Gajeel tried to find a point to approach from, Gajeel was keeping watch from up on the tower, and Gabbriel was easily slinking her way through the crowds.

"Isn't this exciting?!" A random stranger cheered to her as she passed by.

"I'm so enthused,"  Gabbey responded dully, looking to where her brother was suppose to be. He was gone.

"Edolas Gajeel must have found a way," She muttered to herself, shoving pass the people around her. The watched as the masked figures raised their staffs and shot beams at the lacrima, the whole thing starting to glow a bright white.

Come on, give me a clue! Give me a position on where I'm suppose to be!

Finally,  as the lacrima started to loose its glow, golden sparks flew to the sky. It started out with a 'N' before more words followed, spelling out; North.

"Got it!" Gabbriel exclaimed, rushing to the north side of the lacrima. She threw her cloak off her in a whirl of cloth and grinned madly as she forced herself to the front of the group. "Metal Make; Rose Vines!"

Taking extra care to not hurt any of the onlookers, Gabbriel had the metal rose vines go in between people and destroy the ground, before finally striking the lacrima.

"Get her!" A big swarm of guard started towards her, but Gabbriel giggled to herself.

"Come and get me, boys!" She called out, waiting for a guard to get close. Not hesitated, she made her metal knuckles pop and and sock him in the face. The guard fell, but more followed.

"Iron Dragon Wing Attack!" Gabbriel jumped, throwing her arms down and watching as her metal swiped everyone out of the way.  "I'm so not going to lie, I miss this!"

"Gabbriel!" Gajeel called out. "Are you done playing?! Help me with this thing!"

"Yeah, Yeah," Gabbriel rolled her eyes, throwing her arm forwards. "Iron Dragon Beam!"

A gray beam that was once Gabbriel's arm hit the lacrima and while Gajeel hit the lacrima from the other side, it started to glow again, even more so.

"Shit!" Gabbey cursed as the light blinded everyone. When it died down, two familiar figures appeared on the ground, slowly rising to get up. "Gajeel! It's Erza and Gray!"

"I can see that!" Gajeel snapped back, letting out a laugh when a guard tried to take Gabbey down from behind. Gabbey easily swung him over her shoulder though and planted him to the ground with a punch. "But. . .Why only two?"

   "I don't know!" Gabbey snapped.

"Hey, wake up! Pay attention!" Gajeel ordered the two members, watching as they slowly rose to their feet with a white aura around them. Once the aura went away, they both snapped their eyes open. "Ah, you're awake."

"Thought I'd have to smack you a few times," Gabbriel commented offhandedly, slowly making her way next to Gray.

   "Gajeel?"

"Gabbriel?" Gray blinked, turning around. "What happened?"

"I'll explain later," Gajeel dismissed them. "We're beatin' it outta here!"

"You fiend!" A guard cried, rushing Gajeel. Before he could get close though, Gabbriel kneed him in the gut, twisting herself around his back before flinging him to the ground.

"Damn! I need to get back into shape!" Gabbey sighed.

   "What have you done?!"

"You won't get out of here!"

Gray moved to use his powers, but was quick to find out he couldn't. "I can't use magic!"

   "What?" Erza asked.

"I said, I'll explain later," Gajeel restated, taking a bite out of a piece of metal before tossing it to Gabbriel. She took a bite as well, turning at the same time Gajeel did and combined their spell.

   "Roar of the Iron Dragon!"

The army in front of the twins seem to disappear, weapons scattered everywhere and bodies with them. Gabbriel grinned, grabbing Gray's wrist and pulling him after her. "Keep up! Don't get lost!"

Lots of turns later, and a small argument between Gray and Gabbriel, the Fairy tail wizards where hiding out in an alley way.

"Why is it that you two can use magic?" Gray asked when they finally caught their breathes.

"Aw, Gray not feeling so strong without his powers?" Gabbriel teased.

   "Shut up!"

"Gabbey," Gajeel rolled his eyes, taking out a container that Mystogen gave them before they were blasted off. "First, take one of these."

   "What?"

"What happened? Tell us the details!" Erza demanded.

"The two of you were turned into a lacrima." Edo-Gajeel stated as he walked into the alley way.

   "Oh, you're here." Gajeel grinned.

"As expected from my Earthland self," Edo-Gajeel grinned. "You rescued them splendidly!" Gabbriel coughed. "You did better than I thought you would."

"There are two. . " Gray trailed off, in surprise.

   "Gajeels?!" Erza finished.  "You're triplets?!"

"No way in hell!" Gabbey scoffed, crossing her arms as the Gajeels threw an arm around each other.

"I am the Gajeel from this world." Edo-Gajeel introduced.

"He's a pretty useful guy." Gajeel admitted. "Look at his face! That's a face that says 'I get things done.'"

"That aside, what do you mean we were turned into lacrima?" Erza demanded.

   "That aside?" Gajeel gasped.

"It means she doesn't give a crap about your face," Gray remarked to Gajeel.

"Someone agrees finally," Gabbey laughed, smiling at Gajeel. "Don't worry bro, don't take it to heart."

A short but detailed explanation was giving to Erza and Gray, with barely any interruptions.

"All the wizards of Fairy tail have been turned into lacrima," Edo-Gajeel summed up at the end. "They were after your magic power. I thought the lacrima in the open square was it, but. . ."

"Even though it was so big, it was only you two," Gajeel sighed.

"And if that lacrima was so big, but only carried you two, how big is the actual lacrima they're hiding?" Gabbriel added on.

"There was a cut face on that lacrima, yes. . ." Edo-Gajeel remembered. "Now that I think about it, that means it was a section that was cut off."

"How do you know it was a cut face?" Gabbey questioned, making a face.

"You can thank your Edolas version of yourself. She was obsessed with crystals and lacrima when we were younger."

"There's still so much I want to ask, but what were those strange pills?" Gray settled on a question.

"They're called exballs," Gabbriel started. "Mystogen said its a medicine that lets you use magic in this world."

"We'll talk about the rest after you take these." Gajeel offered, handing two small exballs to Erza and Gray each.

"From Mystogen, you say?" Erza repeated.

"Yup!" Gabbey nodded, watching as the two wizards popped the exballs in their mouth.

   "Now what?" Gray asked.

"Now," Gajeel grinned. "I'm going to find the big lacrima, and make as much mayhem as possible. Gabbey is going with you all, to see if we can find anyone else wanting to fight in the prison. You two go find where the others are being held up right now."

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Erza started off jogging towards the castle, Gray easily catching up.

"Be careful, Gajeel." Gabbey demanded, punching her brother lightly on the arm and turning towads the Edolas Gajeel. "You too."

   "We will," They replied.

   "Gabbriel!"

   "Coming!"

It wasn't all Panther Lily's fault. No matter how many times Lily tries to tell everyone his side of the story, it doesn't make it true.

A young exceed with the bright pink eyes stared furiously as the human king as her past seem to catch up with her.

It was her that saved the Prince of Edolas from the danger that followed him. It was her that brought the child to Extalia, so she could raise him and heal him.

But it was Panther Lily - her best friend - who took the blame. He was labelled a traitor, a 'Fallen', and cast away from Extalia.

Daella fought with the elders and the queen of her homeland, demanding that Panther Lily's exile be lifted and for the two of them to take care of the human they grown to care for. But they refused.

So, Daella joined him in his exile.

Panther Lily and Daella both raised the young prince. They taught him that kindness was not a weakness and that true strength was in the heart, not the muscles.

When the prince finally started to live his own life without his parental figures, Panther Lily's mindset changed. He joined the Royal Army of Edolas and gained the persona of a war captain.

But she stayed by his side, even with he was being overly protective.  How could she not? She was the reason Panther Lily could no longer see his family. . .

Daella never felt this angry before. She normally wasn't a spiteful person (Abet, she was emotional). She was kind to everyone she met and never turned away from anyone that needed help.

The only other time she felt angry was when the elders and queen wouldn't listen to reason.

But standing next to Coco as she stared down the human king, Daella was shaking with rage.

"If you activate the plan now, Lily will be caught up in it!" Coca exclaimed, eyes filled with tears. But the king simple stared down at them with power hungry eyes.

"And what about it?" He replied.

"You can't just throw away lives like that!" Daella hissed, tears of rage falling down her face. "You'll have no one left if you do!"

"He's our ally!" Coco added on.

"Coco, he will be a martyr to our great Kingdom's future!" Byro tried to explain, the key to destroy Extalia in his hands.

"But. . ." Coco threw her arms out. "I don't want Lily to die!!"

"Who care what happens to that damn Exceed?" Byro snapped.

"I do!" Daella retorted as Coco yanked the key out of Byro's grasp.

"No, no!" She turned, starting to run off with the  key. "I said no!"

   "What are you-"

"Go, Coco, Go!" Daella's wings appeared, the ends of her wings charcoal black as she flew after the young girl.

"Coco!" The king roared, zapping Coco's feet with his magic staff. Daella gasped as she cried out in pain and fell. "You have always loved to run. And I loved to watch you run around. . ." The king zapped her feet again, Coco crying. "Hand the key over to me."

"I've got you!" Daella grasped the younger girl under her arms and easily flew her out of the room. "Hold on Coco, someone here is bound to help us!"

"Ella," Coco whimpered. "My feet hurt, really bad."

"I know, when we find a spot far enough I'll try to numb the pain," Daella cooed softly. "I can't do that and fly at the same time though."

They flew through many hallways, around twists and turned they knew so well, and eventually flying through the amusement park that was actually built in the castle.

Not looking where they were going, Daella crashed right into someone and fell back, Coco landing on her.

"Oof!" Daella groaned, wings disappearing. "Coco. . .You're killing me. . ."

"Huh? Where's the monsters?" The woman asked, before turning towards  Daella and Coco. "And who are you two?" She looked down at Coco's feet. "What happened to your feet? They're seriously injured!"

"I don't want to run anymore. . ." Coco whimpered. Daella hissed, scooting herself close to Coco's feet and placing her paws on them.

"You don't have to anymore, child," Daella hummed, a soft glow surrounding Coco's feet.

"Coco, wait, would ya?!" Byro shouted from behind them.

"Help us, please!" Daella looked up at the blonde with panic in her eyes.

"This. . ." Coco stopped, clearly realizing who this was, and clutched the key to her chest tighter.

"Hurry up and give me the key!" Byro demanded, glaring harshly at Daella as the exceed numbed Coco's pain. "YOU. . .You're going to be turned in a lacrima as soon as possible - regardless of what you are to Panther Lily!!"

"Key?" The blond stood up in defense. "W-Why is he after my keys? I won't give you any of them!"

"I-I think she's confused. . ." Daella whispered to Coco, who nodded slowly as the blonde got into a fighters' position.

"You're an Earthland wizard," Byro stated. "What are you doing here? What's has happened to Hughes and Sugar Boy?" Growing quickly impatient with waiting, Byro demanded, "Give me the key already!"

"I won't give you this key!" She declared, grasping a key from her own belt and pointing it towards Byro. "Bishi! "

"I think she's confused. . ." Coco said outloud. Daella stopped numbing Coco's feet for a minute, furrowing her eyebrows.

"I think we asked the wrong person for help. . ."

"H-Hey!" The Earthland wizard exclaimed. "J-Just wait! Gate of the Giant Bull, I open thee! Taurus!"

With a golden glow, a huge cow with a battle axe appeared out of no where. Daella let out a screech of surprise as the cow mooed.

"That outfit is the best ever, Lucy-san!" The cow drooled over this 'Lucy's' outfit.

"So much for your cool entrance."

"What's that?! A cow?!" Byro gaped in shock.

"What about my reward from before?" The cow demanded.

"Make this guy beg for mercy, and I'll think about it! GO!" Lucy complied.

   "Beg for mercy!!"

Daella let out another cry, winging popping out again and scooting Coco a bit away from the battle.

"Coco, hun, look at me," Daella cooed, watching as the young girl looked Daella in the eyes. "I need you to keep a hold of the key. I'm trusting your intuition to give this woman the key or not, okay?"

"Ella, where are you going?" Coco demanded.

"I'm going to go release the prisoners here," Daella spoke in a rushed tone. "See if they have and Fairy Tail members here, let them out, and them go warn Lily. He has to know the truth."

"Ella," Coco whimpered, putting a hand on the Exceeds head. "That's too dangerous. We don't know how many guards are down there!"

"Coco, everyone is fighting for their lives out there," Daella explained. "If not their own, someone elses. I have to help in all the ways I can. I need you to be brave. For me?"

Coco nodded, tears falling down her face. "Come back, please? Don't leave like everyone else."

"I'll meet you at the balcony," Daella promised.

   "Go. Be safe."

Daella gently wiped Coco's tears away before taking flight around the large hole in the ground. She flew as fast as she could, wanting to hurry and get to Lily.

Gabbriel thought that they would hold prisoners down below the castle - just like it was when she was a prisoner. But it turned out to be the exact opposite. They were somewhere along the middle section and around towers, so Gabbey quickly realized she wasted time.

"Come on! Hurry up, lets' go!" Gabbey ordered, yanking doors straight out of the stone wall and settling it down on the ground. "We don't have time for this!"

She recognized a few people that were in Fairy tail on Earthland and were clearly still in Fairy tail in Edolas. She was even generous enough to let some thieves go. No on was wanting to stay in a castle that was most likely going to crumble.

It was when she was nearing the last occupied cell did she find someone she didn't expect to her.

Akemi.

Well. . .Edolas' Akemi.

She was laying on the ground, shirt torn and bandages bloodied. She looked a lot worse than the last time Gabbey saw her, walking the streets.

"Shit. . ." Gabbey hissed, tearing the bars off and running into the room. "Akemi? Hey, can you here me? Akemi!"

"If you're here to kill me, do it quick," Akemi muttered bitterly. "I think I've suffered enough."

"It looks like you're going to have to suffer some more," Gabbey replied. "Because we're having a jail break."

Akemi opened the same gray eyes her mate did and stared into Gabbey's own red eyes. "Jail break?"

"Yup," Gabbriel nodded, unfurling the cloak that Gajeel threw at her before she ran off and started to wrap it around her noticeable wound. "I know what it's like being in a cell, I thought the people in here would like to fight back."

"I know I'm sure as hell going to," Akemi grinned, grasping Gabbey's outstretched hand. "Akemi - but you already knew that."

"Gabbriel," The said woman easily pulled Akemi up. "You just look a lot like someone I knew back home."

"Earthland!" Akemi exclaimed as the two of them hobbled out of the cell. "Yes, I think your Natsu and Lucy explained most of that to me."

"I wouldn't take what those two bimbos say too seriously," Gabbey joked lightly. "They aren't-"

The woman stopped suddenly, narrowing her eyes at the corner in front of them and twisting herself so that Akemi was behind her.

   "What's wrong?" Akemi whispered.

"Someone's coming," Gabbey murmured. "Flying, by the sounds of it."

   "It must be an-"

Sure enough, around the corner flew in an unfamiliar Exceed with big pink eyes. Her fur was a darker version of pink and her wings were white, but burned black near the tips. The Exceed skidded to a stop in mid air, trying not to run into the two women on the defensive side.

It was silent before someone spoke.

"It looks like someone had the same idea as I did," The Exceed started off in a smooth voice.

"That would be me," Gabbriel jerked her chin up slightly. "Wanting to have a prison break?"

"Yes," The Exceed replied, eyes flying over the cloak that was wrapped around Akemi's stomach. "After that, flying to the giant lacrima to warn someone."

"Looks like we're on the same agenda," Gabbey grinned. "Wanna take me up there? I have a twin waiting for me there."

"Sure thing," The Exceed agreed. "Let me help your friend first."

"You know helping magic?" Akemi asked in surprise, watching as the Exceed plopped to the ground, wings gone, and walk over to the duo. Gabbriel tried to put Akemi to the ground as gently as possible.

"No," The Exceed shook her head, resting her paws on Akemi's stomach. "I can't heal you. But, I can trick your brain into thinking there is no pain. Basically numbing the area for a certain amount of time."

"That's so cool," Akemi grinned, closing her eyes in relief as the nagging pain in her stomach slowly numbed. "I feel like I can fight now!"

"Well, don't," The Exceed said bluntly. "I may have numbed the area, but you're still going to bleed out. Run to your guild, gather everyone, then treat yourself."

"Sure thing. . ." Akemi trailed off, pushing herself to her feet.

"Daella," The said feline replied. "Now go! The process won't last long!"

"Aye, captain," Akemi saluted Daella playfully, staring at Gabbriel with sparkling eyes. "I'll see you around?"

"Only if you get yourself treats," Gabbriel said absentmindedly, eyes focused on Akemi's face. This was actually the last time they would see each other.

"Cute," Akemi grinned, waving at the Earthlander and Exceed before running off.

There was only a pause of silence before Daella spoke again. "Ready?"

"Lets hurry," Gabbriel nodded. "I have a feeling the people we're finding are fighting each other."
