🌹 The Not-So-Bad Twins
"So, we're taking a job today?" Gabbriel commented, walking next to her twin. Her curled hair was actually up today, in a ponytail. Though, to be honest here, she had to ask Gajeel for help.
"Yeah, I think we should get some money now. Makarov won't pay our housing bills forever." Gajeel pointed out.
"Oh? Since when have you cared whether or not we have money?" Gabbriel remarked, seemingly teasing him but she was really curious. Her curiosity overflowed to the bond, making Gajeel scoff.
"I've always cared. Just. . .We might have ourselves a good place here." He paused, looking up at the guild hall - which was only a few meters away. "Even though everyone basically hates us here."
"At least you have me!" Gabbey cheered slightly - trying to be optimistic. Gajeel rolled his eyes but ruffled his sisters' hair.
"Yeah, I got you."
"You're stuck with me, anyways - whether you want me or not."
"Don't you know I already tried to get rid of you?"
"HEY!"
The twins laughed - which was rare enough as they entered the guild. Though as soon as they walked down the stairs and towards the job request board - they put on their cold faces. The two of them scanned the fliers beside Lucy and Nav (She thought, she wasn't sure), before one caught Gabbriel's attention.
"Here's a good one. I think." She commented, tearing it off just before a pale white hand went to go for it.
"Hey! I saw it first!" Lucy exclaimed, making Gabbriel look down at the blonde.
"Yeah, but I took it first." Gabbey retorted.
"EH?!" Lucy narrowed her eyes slightly. "Are you two sure you can even handle the job?"
"We can handle any job that comes our way," Gajeel suddenly sneered, tossing an arm over Gabbey's shoulder and starting to drag her away. "Loser, Weepers, Bunny-girl-san."
Lucy stomped her foot on the ground and watched them walk off. "That's not fair!! Jerk!"
Deciding to actually get to know someone in the guild - Gabbey dodged under Gajeel's arm and walked over to Lucy, towering over the poor girl.
"Uh. . ." Lucy paled slightly, looking up. "Y-You can have the job."
"Oh, I-I wasn't going to talk about that." Gabbey smiled a little, hoping to calm her nerves. "Er. . ." She paused, feeling like everyone was looking at her. "Can you show me around Magnolia?"
"Huh?" Lucy blinked. Starting to get embarrassed, Gabbriel sighed and shook her head.
"Naw, nevermind. I get it. See ya later, Lucy."
With that, Gabbey quickly followed after her brother. As she passed him, she muttered under her breathe; "Now I see why you don't want to talk to people. They're absolutely idiots. . ."

Gabbriel let out a little hum, carrying her small backpack over her shoulder. Gajeel had a sack as his bag, iron around the bottom from the hole that she tore into it long ago.
It was a long and ridiculous story.
As of now, they were walking through Magnolia park to get to the train station quicker.
The raven-hair girl was so deep in thought that she almost didn't stop when Gajeel did. She only did when a sharp tug from her bond made her look up.
In front of them was Jet and Droy. Levy was hidden behind a tree - clearly still afraid of them.
They sighed at the same sigh - both of them dropping their bags at their feet.
"What do you want?" Gajeel grunted out, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Just when our first job is about to start." Gabbey sighed in disappointment, kicking the cobblestone beneath them.
"Job?" Jet sneered. "Oh, the twins who destroyed our guild house speaks."
"If it's about jobs, it's the same whichever guild you go to! Gah, don't you see?!" Droy snapped.
The twin's red eyes flashed as they grinned arrogantly - showing their canines. "These small fries. Eh. What happened in the past is kinda sticky." Gajeel chuckled.
"Why would we want to go to any other guild, anyways?" Gabbey asked rhetorically.
"St. . .Stop Already!! Jet, Droy. . ." Levy trailed off from her spot behind the tree. "As for me. . .I'm totally unable to do anything. . ."
"This is our call."
"If we're just going to let this go, Fairy tail's name will be destroyed!" Droy argued.
Gabbey snorted quietly, causing Gajeel to let out a hmmph. Quickly getting tired of their arrogance, Jet races towards him.
"I'll rip apart that cocky arrogance of yours, now!" He exclaimed, going for a right hook. Gajeel shoved Gabbriel away, taking the first hit - but wasn't able to block the second punch that hit her cheek.
"Hidden Seed Technique! Plants of Summer Blooming!" She heard Droy call out before getting punched by his magic attack, letting out a wheeze as one of the fists knocked the air out of her.
"Falcon Soar!" The twins were suddenly kicked back, making them fly back to the ground. Gabbriel coughed lightly, rubbing her sore cheek as she laid on her side and faces her attackers.
Gajeel's worried fell through the bond, but she pushed back with reassurance - telling him she was fine.
"Hey! Stop pretending!" Jet ordered, scowling at them.
"Your real strength is not like this. . ." Droy added on. At the sound of footsteps, Gabbriel stumbled up into a crouch, leaning onto Gajeel a bit.
"Oho! IS some kind of bullying going on?" An unfamiliar voice spoke up, though Jet and Droy looked surprised and a bit fearful.
The twins felt each others' confusion as they stared at the huge male with blonde hair and blue eyes, a pair of headphones on his ears. A large lightning-shape scar ran down his right eye.
"Laxus?"
But the blonde ignored them, walking pass the two males to stand in front of the twins. "So. . .You two are the twins that messed up my entire guild, huh?" His voice turned into a darker tone. "That geezer. . .For some meaningless reason, he let you join our guild?"
Gabbriel's red eyes widen in shock as she stared at the male towering over them. Her realization was sent to Gajeel as her mind caught up to her thoughts.
This is Makarov's grandso-
"You two are the reason why we're being laughed at!! You shits!" He snarled, just as lighting crackled down onto them. Gabbriel let out a cry of pain, falling onto her face as she convulsed from the electricity running through her body.
Gabbey had never faced a lightning mage before - and now she wished she never met Laxus. It didn't make it any better that she was a metal mage and she had piercing all over her body.
"It's all your fault, you bastard! You stupid bitch!!"
Another wave of electricity hit them as they flew back. Gabbriel heaved as she landed on her back, her head resting on her brother's lower arm.
"Stop it, Laxus! You overdid it!!" Jet ordered
"Even though Laxus is powerful. . .It can't be so one-sided. . ."
Laxus stomped and kicked Gajeel's stomach with his magic, making him grunt from the impact.
"It's your bloody damn fault we're being looked down upon!! Why don't you die atoning your sins? All those who oppose Fairy tail must perish!!"
"Leave him alone!!" Gabbey croaked out, grabbing onto Laxus's coat before gripping the bottom of his jeans. Gajeel pulled their bond to leave it alone, but Laxus had already turned on her.
He kicked her hard in the face, making her yell out on impact, her nose making a cracked sound. Laxus started to kick her stomach, making her start to spit blood out - mostly from the blood entering her mouth from her nose.
"Hey, Laxus, That's enough!!" Jet tried again. This time, Laxus stopped his assault and turned on his own guild mates.
"You're annoying." He stated, sending a bolt of lightning towards them. Adrenaline shot through Gabbey as she saw the bolt miss Jet and Droy and head straight towards Levy.
She won't survive that! She thought, seeing Gajeel get up - thinking the same thing. With speed that actually surprised the both of them, Gabbriel and Gajeel rushed over.
Gabbriel quickly tackled the bluenette to the ground, flipping Levy over so she would take the ground impact before flipping them again - so Gabbey would protect Levy from the electricity.
Gajeel jumped in front of his twin and the original target - turning his arm into an iron rod and taking the bolt instead.
Once the light died down, Gabbriel shifted slightly, glaring at Laxus as well as Gajeel. Levy opened her eyes before blinking in shock - seeing Gabbriel hovering over her while Gajeel stood in front of them.
"They. . .protected Levy?" Droy mumbled in shock.
"You. . ." Jet trailed off in surprise.
Gabbriel wheezed in pain as she got in a standing position - walking besides Gajeel as the two of them got their bags. "Is that all?" She asked, trying to make her voice steady.
"We have work to do." Gajeel finished, limping along side her. Ignoring her own injuries, Gabbriel threw Gajeel's arm around her shoulders and help him walk. For once, he complied without arguing.
"Uh. . ." Levy started in a small voice.
"Don't care about us." The twins snapped at the same time, hobbling away.

Gabbriel winced as Gajeel wrapped her torso tightly - the rocking of the train not helping. After the attack, the twins made it to the train station and instead of getting a booth - which was cheaper - they got their own compartment so they could bandage each other up.
"Sorry. . ." Gajeel mumbled around the pins in his mouth - taking one of them to pin the cloth together.
"It's fine." Gabbey mumbled just as quietly - shaking her arms slightly above her so they don't fall asleep on her.
". . .You're done." Gajeel finally state, walking over to his her bag and throwing her extra dress at her. "Your dress you wore earlier is trashed, so I threw it out."
"Thanks." She answered, tugging the dress up, wincing every so often. "Your turn."
Gajeel didn't say anything as he took off his tattered shirt - Gabbriel carefully but tightly wrapping his bruised torso. No one talk until Gabbey decided to break it.
"So that was Makarov's grandson." She mused quietly. "None of them look alike in anyway. Well. . .Laxus has the same eyes as his grandfather."
"Out of everything that happened today," Gajeel spoke in a bland voice, though their bond showed that he found it amusing. "You noticed his eye color."
"Of course," Gabbey agreed with a nod, holding out a new shirt for him. "Every girl looks at the eyes first. They're the windows to the soul~."
"That's stupid." Gajeel scoffed, leaning back and ignoring his shirt. Gabbey rolled her eyes, dropping the shirt by his bag and crawling onto Gajeel.
"You always say that, but we both know you think its the truth." She mumbled into his chest as her eyelids covered her gleaming red eyes. Gajeel pulled at the bond slightly as his hand rested on her head.
The rest of the rise was silent, but it was the best kind of silence.
