🌹 The News Reporter
Gabbriel never really stayed up late or slept in late. She always went to bed at a certain time - even if she wanted to stay up all night - and she never woke up later then 10 in the morning. Her job was to make sure Gajeel woke up and got sleep that night - even though she was the younger sibling.
So you could understand why Gajeel woke up that morning and was confused. It was dead silent in their apartment - which Makarov managed to give to them. There wasn't the smell of food in the air and the shower wasn't running.
He grunted slightly as she got up and stumbled towards his twin's room. The door was closed, meaning that she was still asleep. Gabbriel never closed her door unless she was asleep or changing. Gajeel pressed his ear to the door - not hearing her sister getting dressed - before opening the door as slowly as he could so it wouldn't make a sound.
His confusion turned into surprise as he saw his younger sister tangled in sheet and still asleep. Gajeel furrowed his metal studs as he walked over to Gabbey, shaking her slightly.
"Gabbey. . .Come on Gabbey, it's time to wake up."
The raven-haired girl twitched before shooting up, breathing heavily. Gajeel's confusion came back as he noticed the noticeable bags under her eyes, her greasy hair sticking to her face, and how her pillow had small sweat spots.
"Sorry. . .Sorry," Gabbey panted lightly, slumping down. "What time is it?"
Gajeel glanced out the window and shrugged slightly. "Looks to be about noon." The twins were silent for a moment before Gabbriel got up and stretched.
"Didn't realize I slept in that late. Sorry, bro - I'll make breakfast after my shower then we can go to the guild."
"No, no," Gajeel stood up, putting a hand on Gabbriel's shoulder to stop her from moving. "You go take a shower as long as you want, I'll make breakfast. I need to work on my cooking skills anyways." The two chuckled before Gabbey tilted her head.
"You sure? I can make breakfast if you really want me too."
"I got this." Gajeel reassured. "Besides, maybe at the guild we can get some cherries. I know how much you love cherries."
Gabbriel smiled brightly and nodded, sending her grateful emotion towards her brother through the bond. "Alright. That sounds great."

The two of them completely ignored the glares they got as they entered the guild hall - though the glares have slowed down to where a couple people where glaring. Not that the two cared - they've only been here for five days now.
Gabbriel slumped down as she sat at their table - putting her head on the hardwood. The guild was completed two days ago - so a cool breeze only came through when the door was opened and/or windows.
The black-haired girl jumped up as a bowl of cherries were sat in front of her. Her tired red eyes look up to her brother as he stared at her.
"Are we going to talk about it?" He asked in a hushed tone - one that only Dragon Slayers could hear.
"I've just been having trouble sleeping, that's all." Gabbriel shrugged, taking a cherry off the pile and plopping it into her mouth - the stem hang out of her mouth.
"Yeah, cats fly, too." Gajeel replied sarcastically, pulling at the bond with worry. "Come on. . .Uh, what's eating at you?"
"Eh. . ." Gabbriel hummed uncertainly as she spat out the stem and picked up another one. "I. . .I'm just kinda afraid that if I sleep, this will be like a dream."
Gajeel looked her sister in the eyes as she stared right back - having a stare-off. With a sigh, he plucked a cherry out of the bowl and leaned back - still looking at his sister.
"You'll tell me if there is anything wrong, right?"
"Of course." Gabbey nodded - watching with amusement as Gajeel torn off the stem and flicked a cherry into the air, catching it with his mouth. Almost instantly, his face screwed up.
"Ugh, sour!" He spat the fruit out of his mouth as Gabbriel chuckled, following her brother's actions with her own cherry.
"The ones that are the brightest are the sourest." Gabbey sung.
"Oh shut up!"
The sound of doors bursting open caused the two of them to look towards the double doors before quickly looking away.
"Well, shit." Gabbriel muttered, taking another cherry. "What do we do now?"
"Nothing we can do now." Gajeel grunted. "If we stay out of his way, he'll track of by scent."
"We look so pathetic." Gabbey groaned, swiping her curled hair out from her face.
"Calm down!" Gajeel hissed in reply before trying to lighten her mood. "Animals can smell fear."
Gabbey choked on the fruit she had, covering her mouth to try not to laugh loudly. "That's not funny!" She snickered.
"You're giggling says a different thing. Besides, as long as the Master doesn't point us out - we have a day at least."
"If you say so." She sighed, picking up another cherry. Her ears twitched as she felt Master's gaze on the two of them.
"I'd also like to introduce two other people." She heard Makarov say. "Hey! Come introduce yourselves!"
"You jinxed us." Gabbriel muttered, pulling the cherry away from her mouth as she spun around in her chair to face the fairies. To be more specific - the Fire Dragon Slayer who kicked their asses and his friend.
"Y-You're kidding, right?" The one with navy hair snapped.
She saw Natsu's face morph into one of shock and anger. "Gajeel?! Gabbriel?! What are these punks - argh!!"
Decided to be a bit like her old self, Gabbriel lowered the cherry from her mouth and sent them a sarcastic look. "Fairies."
"Master, what kind of joke is this supposed to be?!" Gray spat.
"Wait!! Juvia brought them here!!" Juvia rushed, trying to calm everyone down.
"Juvia is one thing. . ." Erza started. Gabbriel looked towards the red-head and their eyes clashed. Neither one of them backing down. "But them two were directly responsible for this guild's destruction."
A gloved hand was placed on her shoulder, making her break the stare-off to look up. Her brother matched her gaze - the male telling her to calm down through their bond. Gabbey relaxed, placing a hand on his and nodding.
"Now now," Makarov interrupted. "They were only acting on Jose's orders back then; it couldn't be helped. You know what they say - yesterday's enemies are today's friends. Besides, don't you see the way they interact with each other?"
As soon as he said that, the twins dropped their arms back to the side. "Good job, old man." Gabbey scoffed, tearing the cherry off the stem and chewing harshly. "You made it awkward."
"U-Uh, I-I'm not bothered at all." Levy stated from behind a pillar, the two males they attacked that night glaring heatedly at them.
"Stop screwing around!! I can't work with these guys!!" Natsu exclaimed, stomping towards the two of them.
"Oh, don't worry. We have no intention of being buddy-buddy with you." Gajeel declared with a hard tone.
"We need work; that's all there is to it. One guild is as good as the next." Gabbriel explained in the same tone as her brother, throwing a cherry at Natsu's mouth and watching it land where she aimed. "Eat a cherry, it should calm down a flame-brain like you."
"Not that I thought we'd ever end up working at a nasty little guild like this. . ." Gajeel added.
"What did you say?!" Natsu snarled at the twins - around the fruit that was in his mouth.
"Gajeel-kun and Gabbriel-san seemed so lonely before, they only had each other! Juvia couldn't bear to leave either of them." Juvia explained from behind Gray before panicking. "I-I mean - Juvia doesn't like him like that!! And Juvia doesn't swing that way!"
"It's the duty of an old man like me to guide young men and women who have lost their way back onto the right path." Makarov started. "Their not bad guys, at heart. . .At least, I hope not."
"If this is the Master's decision then I will support it. . .But I think we should have someone keep an eye on them for the time being." Erza put her side in.
"Quite. . ."
Natsu let out a groan, crossing his arms. "I dunno, this new guild. . .doesn't feel right."
Gabbriel rolled her eyes, spinning back to her bowl of cherries as the lights started to dim. She paid no mind to it as the brunette - Cana she thinks - shoved Natsu to sit down. Sadly, since Gajeel chose the spot next to her, Natsu sat next to him.
Showing that Gajeel didn't want to talk to Natsu, he turned to face his sister. The rest of Natsu's group gathered around, of course staying clear from the two ex-Phantom Lord members.
"I think they got the message." Gabbriel mumbled lowly, trying to keep the conversation between her and her brother. But she wouldn't be surprised if Natsu ended up hearing it.
"Hopefully." Gajeel grunted, stealing a cherry from the bowl. Gabbriel giggled as Gajeel made another face - meaning another sour berry - but quickly stopped it as some people looked at her in shock.
"What?" She snapped slightly, gesturing to the stage where the curtains were being drawn back. The white-hair woman, Mirajane, sat on a stool with a guitar. She strummed a bit while the guild cheered loudly for her. Then, she began her song.
Although she wasn't really listening, Gabbey could tell the girl had a set of vocals on her. She let out a huff, jealous of how Mira sounded. And as if he could tell she was jealous - which he probably could - Gajeel pulled on their bond with reassurance.
"Don't think like, it gives me a headache if you stay jealous for a while." Gajeel ordered roughly. "Besides, you're a Redfox. You can sing way better than her and I can play guitar way better."
"Thanks, Gajeel." Gabbriel smiled at her older brother. Just as the song ended, Gajeel nudged her shoulder as if to tell her to watch. Gabbriel rose an eyebrow in confusion just as Natsu shot up, glaring at the older male.
"What the hell was that for?! You did that on purpose!!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Gajeel retorted. Playing along, Gabbriel nodded.
"Yeah! Gajeel was just talking to me!!"
"Bullshit!"
"Shut up!!" A voice called out at three mugs were thrown at them. "Stop interrupting Mira's song!!"
Gabbey let out a groan as the mug hit her forehead, glaring into the darkness. "Okay, that's it!" Natsu roared, flipping the table. "Who threw that?!"
"Dammit Natsu, stop screwing around!!" Gray snapped, standing up to only knock Erza's cake out of her hand.
"I will kick both your asses if you don't sit down!!" Gabbey threaten suddenly, standing up. "Then, I will beat whoever threw that mug at me!!"
"My. . .Strawberry cake. . ." Erza murmured.
"Dammit guys!! Shut up and listen to Nee-chan's song!!" The guy with matching white hair with Mira shouted - punching a random guy - before Erza gave him a hard kick to the jaw.
"Shut the fuck up!!"
Gabbey's red eyes widen as people started to punch each other, kick, and simply shove. She ducked as a chair went over her head, crouching down next to her brother.
"Well. . .This is. . ."
"Interesting. . ."
The twins looked at each other before grinning slyly. Something told them it was going to be an exciting year.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Gabbriel sighed, crossing her arms and looking at the scene in front of her. It was the next day - and Gajeel had a brilliant idea. . .To tie up Mirajane so he could perform for the News Reporter.
"You're not backing out on me now, are you?" He teased, watching Mira struggle against the iron clasps the two of them placed on her. Gabbey almost flinched at the memory of what took place a couple weeks ago, but played it off as a shrug.
"We are trying to get people to tolerate us, remember?"
" . . .She'll be fine." Gajeel assured, rolling his eyes. "Besides, I'll play that one song you're always singing."
The black-haired girl couldn't contain her excitement as they flood through her crimson eyes, but rose an eyebrow in confusion. "I thought you hated playing anything but the guitar."
"I do," Gajeel nodded. "But, I'm willing to play that stupid song for you."
"Aww." Gabbey giggled, trying to ignore that Mira was watching them. "Thanks Gajeel-nee!!"
"Whatever. Just get ready." He huffed and stomped off. Gabbey watched her brother stomp off before looking at Mira, giving an unapologetic shrug.
"Sorry, but Juvia said to get closer to all of you." She explained before walking off, going to go get ready for her solo.
🌹🌹🌹
"Ready?" Gajeel grunted out, wearing a white suit and hat - sunglasses blocking their identical red eyes. In one hand he held a guitar and in the other a stool. For once, he didn't have his usual gloves on.
"Not really." Gabbriel admitted, shifting in the best black dress she had at the moment, a ukulele in one hand. She wore her gloves that Yui gave her. Instead of wearing shoes, she wore white lace fabric. The curtains flew in to cover the center stage as the lights went out, making Gajeel shuffle out quickly.
"Get ready then, you're on in a couple minutes. You'll do great." Gabbey nodded, wringing her hands nervously. She would've brushed her bangs away but her curled locks were held back by a red bow.
As the curtains drew back, Fairy tail gasped in shock as Gajeel was sitting. Lucy was slowly backing away, trying not to be in the spotlight that was on Gajeel. The said male strummed the string instrument before starting to sing.
"There aren't many things that can entertain me. I was a stray wolf but now that I'm accepted by you guys then I should get closer to you. Even though we were enemies before now we're friends."
"Try your best, Gajeel!!" Gabbriel heard Juvia shout over her guildmates grumbling comments. She peaked towards the audience to see everyone basically paper white.
"I wrote this song called 'Best Friend'." Gajeel announced. "Listen up."
The black-hair male strummed a tune before starting to scat. "Colorful colorful shubdada~ The melody of Blue metallic."
"What the hell are you singing?!" Some people chores.
"Dou Dou Dou, Shalalala, Shubidoba shalala. I bite those honeys tightly." He suddenly looked at Lucy, who was dressed up like a bunny. "Oi, be my dancer?"
"Dancer?!"
With on harsh glare, Lucy was dancing behind Gajeel - whimpering sadly. Gabbey snickered at the sight before cheering. "Good job, Gajeel! You're the best!!"
The guild started throwing trash at the two of them while Gajeel continued to sing.
"COOOLLL!!" The reported, Jason she thought, cheered while crying tears of joy. "The absurdity is resounding!!! It's the hit song of the year!!"
Finally, he strummed his last note, stood and bowed. Everyone let out a collective sigh of relief as he gave Lucy his guitar. "Go put this backstage." He grunted and she wasted no time running backstage.
Gabbriel took a deep breath and walked out on stage. The whole guild groaned as she gave Gajeel the ukulele and stood beside him. He picked out the notes quietly, making her snicker. "Can you remember the song?"
"Of course I can!" He snapped, looking up at her from his tinted sunglasses. "Just remember your part."
Even though his words were snappish, Gajeel sent reassurance through their bond. She looked at the crowd of fairies, some of them glaring others seeming to want to become deaf. Gabbriel rolled her eyes, pulling the microphone closer to the two of them and tapping Gajeel's shoulder to start.
He strummed in time, causing a few people to perk up. "God. . .I hate this thing so much." He grumbled under his breath - something only Gabbriel could hear. She snickered quickly before starting to sing.
"Wise men say. . .Only fools rush in. But I can't help falling in love with you." She noticed all of them lost their disgusted looks and listen in. This made her smile a bit more and close her eyes. Gabbey didn't think she was that good. . .
"Shall I stay? Would it be a sin?
If I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling so it goes,
some things were meant to be!~
Take my hand,
Take my whole life too!
'Cause I can't help falling in love with you!~" She stopped singing, opening her eyes. The whole guild was silent for a moment before cheering loudly and clapping, causing Gabbriel to blush slightly - though it wasn't noticeable.
"So, who was right?" Gajeel let out a laugh, wrapping an arm around her shoulders to lead her off the stage.
"You were. . .You were right." Gabbriel grinned.
"Of course I was!"
"Now don't get too cocky!!"
