🌹 The New Adventure

Grey eyes watched the scene with shinning eyes, giggling as Lucy beat Natsu senseless. It was a rare occurrence for Natsu to even be around the guild, but whenever he does come around, Lucy's always following.

When was she going to admit her feelings?

"Lucy. . .Bullying Natsu again?" She giggled, leaning onto her best friend, Lisanna. "Who won this time?"

"Kemi!" Lisanna scowled her friend, looking back to the fighting pair. "Lucy, stop it, already."

"We're done here," Lucy responded, putting her hands behind her head. Akemi laughed, skipping over to Lucy and draping her arm over her shoulders.

"Are you? Are you really?" She poked Lucy's cheek.

"You've come back!" Elfman cheered, not seeing Natsu's reaction to seeing his long lost best friend.

"Welcome back, Lisanna! Akemi!" Mirajane greeted happily.

"Hi, Mira, Elfman! Oh, hello Levy, Nab, Jet, Droy," The black-haired girl let Lucy go and started to greet everyone in the guild hall, not seeing a smaller Wendy's eyes follow her.

  Akemi. . .I've seen her somewhere before. . .

"Jet, Droy, Don't bully Elf-niichan either!" Lisanna chided the two men.

"Oh, Elfman!" Akemi hugged the taller man. "We can go get some ice cream from the bar! I'm sure that'll make you feel better!"

"Thank you, Kemi," Elfman rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. Akemi giggled, turning slightly to catch Natsu's stare. But he wasn't staring at her, he was staring at Lisanna, with tears in his eyes.

Concerned, Akemi carefully walked over to Natsu and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Natsu? Are you okay?"

"Lisanna!" Natsu roared, the blue cat at his side joining in as the two of them tried to tackle Lisanna into a hug.

"Hey!" Lucy snapped, kicking to two away. Akemi blinked slightly in surprise, watching the scene in front of her.  "Since when did you start acting like an animal?"

"But Lisanna is alive. . .Right over there. . ." Natsu whimpered.

"Yeah," Akemi agreed slowly, wrapping an arm around Lisanna. "Lisanna's been here for years now. . ."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Lucy demanded.

"Whatever, just calm down," Gray gently guided Natsu to a table. "Cry on my shoulder, just like old times. We're best buds, right?"

Akemi giggled, turning to Lisanna as Mirajane and Elfman gathered around as well. Seeing the expression on her face, Akemi asked softly; "Are you okay?"

Lisanna didn't have anytime to respond as Nab slammed the doors open and cried out something that made all their blood run cold.

   "It's the Fairy Hunter!"

   "Crap!"

"This location's been found out already?"

   "That was quick, too quick!"

"The people from the Kingdom are after us again. . ." Cana stated.

   "Levy, start that thing up!"

"Reactor ready for ignition!" Levy called back. "Coordinates set. Error compensation complete in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. . .Connected to the marker! Shock absorber charged with magic!"

"I don't even know what half those words mean!" Akemi clutched Elfman, watching the front door in fear. As if the Fairy Hunter was going to walk right in. Mirajane and Elfman had tucked the younger girls in between them, Mira clutching Lisanna.

"How long until the transmission magic circle, Levy?" Lucy demanded.

"I'm working on it right now! Suck it, Lucy!" Levy snarled.

"It's gonna be too late! The Fairy Hunter is coming!"

   "I know that, sheesh!"

"Stop blabbing and hurry up!" Jet and Droy cried together.

   "40% output for transmission threshold. . .43%. . .46%. . ."

"We should have moved the moment we thought she was on our trail," Akemi gripped, closing her eyes. "This is taking too long!"

   "Shut up!"

   "Make me!"

"She coming!" Elfman cried out, feeling the air around them tremble. It wasn't coming from the machine though.

"Please work, please work," Akemi chanted, Elfman squeezing her close. "I do not want to confront the Fairy Hunter again. . ."

"You won't, Kemi, not with me around!" Elfman declared.

"Okay! We've passed the critical point for transmission!" Levy announced. "Shock absorber activated! Transmission magic circle, expand!"

Just like it had done a million times before, everyone and everything in the guild started to float in mid air. Akemi felt sick at the thought of not being on the ground.

"Everyone, grab onto something!" Lucy called out.

"Nee-chan, Lisanna, Akemi. . .Hold onto me tight!" Elfman ordered, making Akemi squeeze her eyes shut.

   "Gladly!"

With a blinding flash of white light, the guild hall was transmission to a different location. Akemi laid on the ground, eyes spinning around the room as she muttered to herself.

   "I'm okay. . .I'm okay. . .I'm gonna puke. . ."

   "So. . .This is Edolas?"

   "Yes,"

"Everyone in the guild - besides us Dragon Slayers - is trapped in a giant lacrama."

   "Yes,"

"And only our dragon slaying magic can revert them back to their normal selves. . ."

"Normal is a bit of a stretch with this group of wizards, you know this."

Gabbey and Gajeel were hiding out in an alleyway, worn out cloaks covering most of there features as they stuck to the shadows.

Mystogen has briefly appeared in front of them when the twins emerged from the white powder stuff. He explained the the Anima was a portal to his world, Edolas, and the king there was using Fairy Tail as lacramas to transfer into magic.

Gabbriel didn't even get to ask any questions before he gave Gajeel a container full of red beads, popped two into Gajeel's and Gabbey's mouth, and watched them fly off.

She knew one thing though.

When she got back home, she was going to kick Mystogen's ass.

"So then, where should we start?" Gajeel asked the question of the year.

"That. . .I don't know." Gabbey replied. "Maybe some locals can point us to big targeting points?"

"Well, it gets up somewhere," Gajeel grunted, pushing his hood down as he walked up to a group of people. Gabbriel followed behind, pushing her hood off as well. "Hey. I'd like to ask you something."

But the group simply walked away, as if not even hearing her brother. When he went to turn and ask someone else, they walked away too.

"This Edolas place don't got a lot of friendly people, do it?" Gajeel grumbled.

"It's not like our land has much nice people in it either," Gabbey remind him. Her red eyes darted over to three rough lookin' men, who were eyeing the two of them with cocky grins. "But, there are always some people who will end up squealing."

Gajeel chuckled as the two of them walked towards them. "You got a problem with us, bud?" The clear leader asked.

   "You damn fly!"

"I'm surprise you know what that is," Gabbriel replied snarkly. "Though, it does seem to stay with you where ever you go."

   "Damn fly? Me?" Gajeel growled.

"Ain't nobody else here but you!" The leader glanced at Gabbey. "And the damn bitch that's following you around."

"If ya don't like 'fly', how about 'maggot'?"

The three men laughed, Gabbey shaking her head with a grin on her face.

"I'm not laughing," Gajeel stated, slamming his forehead into the leader's head and watching him crash to the ground.

"Y-You bastard!" The other two men cried out, only to get knocked onto their asses as Gabbriel swung herself around them and threw them to the floor.

"Maggots," Gabbey spat, kicking some dirt onto the fallen men. The leader popped up again, sporting a bruised nose, before Gajeel pulled him close.

"A huge lacrima showed up recently." He started. "Where is it? Spit it out!"

   "I-I don't know!" He panicked.

"Is that so?" Gabbriel smiled cruelly. "Well, I'm sure my brother wouldn't mind giving you a second helping-"

"Wait! We really don't know! Right? Right?"

"Fine, then," Gajeel sighed, letting go of the leader and gesturing Gabbey to follow him. "We'll ask someone else. Get lost you guys."

"Wait, Gajeel, since when did you get so strong?" The leader asked.

"Yeah, and when was the last time you've even looked your sisters' way?"

"I mean, until recently, you'd never get in a fight."

Gabbey paused, feeling Gajeel's confusion, her own confusion pushing through.

"Tell me, what's the Gajeel here do?" Gajeel asked after a moment.

   "Huh?"

"I just happen to look like him," Gajeel admitted.

"Apparently, I look like his sister too," Gabbriel added on.

"You're kidding, right? You both look identical."

"Just answer the question," Gabbey snapped. "What does Gajeel usually do?"

"He's a freelance writer here in Edolas with a terrible reputation," The leader admitted.

   "Writer?"

"All he does is write articles in magazines and newspapers criticizing the kingdom. That's why he's hated by all the people in town."

"So that's why no one would talk with me," Gajeel put together.

"And here I thought it was because of your face," Gabbriel snickered quietly, snorting when Gajeel pushed her.

"A free lance writer, huh? I kinda want to meet this guy," Gajeel talked to himself. Gabbriel hummed, looking over at the group of guys.

   "Where can we find him?"

It didn't take them long to make it to the Royal City - especially since the three men were so nice to lend  them their car. A generous offer, one that Gabbey didn't hesitate to take.

They took turns driving the car - of course, crashing into things for the first five minutes of them driving - an took naps while the other one drives.

Hours later, the twins arrived at the next town over, that was a lot bigger than the one they were previously at. While they tried to find the bar that Gajeel's counterpart usually drank at, they also explored.

Gabbriel quickly found out that she loved these things called caramel apples.  Gajeel didn't mind it, but he thought it was too messy and stick to eat.

They explored for most of the day before finally finding the one bar.

"Ready?" Gabbey asked, red eyes staring at the sign.

   "Ready."

The two walked into the bar at the same time, the noise and smell instantly hitting the Dragon Slayers in the face like a wall. One conversation stuck out to them, though.

"Did you hear? Sounds like they're gonna start extracting the magic power from the lacrima in two days."

"Oh. . .I don't really get it, but you're talking about the magic power they scooped up from the other world, right?"

Gabbey instantly found her brother's counterpart - and could kinda see where they would get mixed up. Same sharp, red eyes, same body frame. Edo-Gajeel had short curly hair and only two studs in his ears - one of the many differences between them.

That, and the fact Edo-Gajeel is wearing a suit.

Gajeel slide into a bar seat to Edo-Gajeel's right and Gabbey followed suit, sitting to his left. The two of them really didn't have a plan, just to talk to Gajeel's counterpart when they find him.

"Is this really gonna be okay? I just hope nothin' screwy happens as a result. . ."

"What? Are you saying there's something wrong with the King's methods?"

"Oh no, I didn't mean that," The man hastily corrected himself.

"We should just leave this all to His Highness. People like us worryin' ain't gonna do anything."

"About that. . ." Both Gajeels stood up behind the group, about to speak their mind, before stopping at the sigh of two of them.

   "Could you tell me more?"

   "Would you tell me more?"

Gabbey face palmed at the surprised look on Gajeel's face. "Did you seriously not notice?" She hissed.  Edo-Gajeel turned around the same time Gabbriel did, and his eyes instantly narrowed.

"What did I tell you about following me, Gabi?" Edo-Gajeel hissed. "I told you to stay-"

"Hold it right there," Gajeel intervened, stepping in between the two. "She's not your sister. If you would just give us a minute to explain, we can get this all sorted out. . ."

"She looked remarkably just like her. . ." Edo-Gajeel started, sneering slightly.

"But she's not." Gajeel stated. Edo-Gajeel looked between the twins - looking over Gabbey a bit more - before nodding to a table that was just out of range.

"I feel like this is going to be a big story. . ."

"So in other words, you were sent here to this world by a certain Mystogan-san?" Edo-Gajeel recapped, looking through his notes as Gajeel and Gabbriel sipped idly on their drinks.

"He gave us a brief explanation," Gajeel answered. He has been doing most of the talking, seeing as Edo-Gajeel's would glare at Gabbey every time they made eye contact, or she even spoke.  "But I don't really understand things over here."

His glare wasn't as hot as Natsu's flames though.

"This is a most interesting tale." Edo-Gajeel admitted.

"Tell me something, me who's from this world. . ." Gabbriel glanced up and made eye contact with her twin, giving two sharp tugs to their bond, meaning no.

"What is it, myself from that other world?"

"You're a freelance writer here in Edolas, right?" Gajeel asked, watching Gabbey's shoulder twitch in relief.

"Yes. My job  is to investigate thoroughly what happens in this world and write about it." Edo-Gajeel answered, sitting in a chair across from Gajeel. He made sure the chair was aimed away from Gabbey herself.

"You seem to have a lot of enemies out there," Gabbriel commented, pouring herself some more mead.  "He was attacked by some strange perverts who mistook him for you."

"I do very much apologize for causing you such trouble, other me," Edo-Gajeel replied, not even glancing at Gabbey this time. "There are indeed those who consider me quite the eyesore. Since I write about things which are not in the Kingdom or government's favor. However, I do not write articles which are false."

Gabbriel snorted softly, muttering under her breathe. "That's one thing our world has in common."

"I heard that there was a lot different between this and my original world." Gajeel snickered quietly, hearing Gabbey's remark.

As soon as Gajeel finished the sentence, the two of them stood up - Gajeel wrapping his arm around Edo-Gajeel's shoulders - and saying at the exact same time. "But we're not that different after all, are we?"

Gabbriel groaned, putting her face into her hands. "Save me from these two, please. . ."
