🌹 The Dragons Battle

The silence was defending as the three Dragon Slayers stared at each other, sizing each other up. Everyone else was thinking the twins were waiting for the fairy to attack, but what they were actually doing was getting ready.

Gabbriel sent strength through the bond, crouching down a bit, while Gajeel sent the same amount back. The female twin suddenly chuckled, breaking the silence as grey scales slowly traveled up her arms. They started from her nails - which grew longer as well - and went up to her neck. The scaled disappeared under her black dress, but Gabbey could feel the cool scales grow until they ended near the middle of her torso.

Gajeel did they same thing, growing steel scales from his finger - his nails grew longer as well - and unlike Gabbey's scales, they covered his whole body. It was only like this to show the difference between them by dragon slaying power.

"Dragon Scales?!" Gabbey heard the blue cat exclaimed in shock before Gajeel made the first move. The older twin quickly ran to be face-to-face to Natsu before sending a punch. Salamander barely had time to block - in so much shock - before Gabbey dashed forwards as well. She slid down, underneath Gajeel, and sent a power kick towards Natsu's gut.

The pink-haired male flew back at the powerful attack and quickly got back into a standing position.

"This is too much fun." Gabbey stated cockily, red eyes gleaming in the light around them.

"Too bad it won't be much of a fight." Gajeel rolled his shoulders and jumped towards Natsu with a high kick. This made the Fire Dragon Slayer drop to the ground quickly before jumping up and sending a fiery punch towards Gajeel's face. As soon as the fist touched the metal, a painful crack sounded out, causing Natsu to reel back and clutch his hand in pain.

Gajeel cackled loudly, watching his slink back in pain. "Our scales of steel renders all attacks useless."

"Dumbass, don't you know not to attack steel head-on?" Gabbey sneered, doing a leg sweep and knocking Natsu on his back again. Before Gajeel could continued the onslaught of attacks, Natsu did a back-handspring away from them, puffing out his cheeks. Knowing what was coming next, the twins puffed out their cheeks as well, Gabbey crouched down and Gajeel standing behind her.

   "Fire Dragon-"

   "Iron Dragon-"

"Those guys can use dragon breathes as well?!"

   "Everyone get down!!"

   "ROAR! "

A spiral of fire head straight towards the twins, a red magic circle appearing in front of Natsu's figure. But to counter that attack, the twins sent their iron funnel towards the fire. There magic circles looked exactly the same if you weren't looking close enough, but the colors were different. While Gajeel had a bright mint green circle, Gabbriel had a bright lime green hue.

The attacks hit head-on, causing everyone who was watching to be sent flying back from the intensity of it. When the attacks became worn out and disappeared, everyone waited for the dust to settle. Once two figures appeared before the hole in the wall, did someone speak up.

"I think the difference between our dragon elements is becoming clear, Salamander." Gajeel started, holding his arms out to show how fine he was.

"Even if your blaming breath has the power to burn an opponent to ashes. . .It can't leave a single mark on steel." Gabbriel added, putting her hands on her hips.

"But our own breath of iron blades can slice you up pretty damn good." Gajeel chuckled, motioning towards the many bloody slices on the Fire Dragon Slayer's body.

"Ne, Gajeel," Gabbriel suddenly looked up towards her brother, tilting her head. "When is this going to be over? I want to eat."

   "Well-"

"Oh? " At Natsu's sudden voice, the twins looked over to see the male glaring at them. "Are you sure its not getting breezy?" Multiple cracks resonated from the two Phantom members as Gajeel's scales on his face fell and Gabbriel's scales from her arms fell.

Gabbriel looked at her brother in slight shock, Gajeel returning the feeling through the bond but kept a pretty level head. Their guild members gasped in shock, watching the scene in front of them.

"My flames aren't just flames, ya know." Natsu stated. "Dragon Flames can incinerate anything. If you guys don't hit me with everything you got, then you're just going to get knocked down, Black Steel Gajeel, Metarurōzu. We've got the measure of each other now. Playtime's over."

Gabbriel ignored the shocked looks of her guildmates, who weren't ready to believe they were just testing each other's power. Did they take her and her brother as idiots?

"The only two dragons that can rule the sky is us." Gabbriel snarled.

"We'll strike you down, Salamander Natsu."

   "That's a promise."

Another stand-off, but this time is wasn't as long. Gabbriel was the first one to make a move, fist reared back and aiming for a punch to the cheek. She quickly sent the attack towards him but Natsu had the same idea and threw his own punch. Their fists met each other, metal hitting flesh as they had their own stand-off.

She sent him a sarcastic smile, making her scales disappear before hiking up her leg and sending a high kick towards his temple. Natsu backed off, ducking to avoid the hit, before sending a flaming fist towards Gabbey's torso. Since she was in mid-kick, the attack hit her gut and sent her flying back.

Gajeel quickly used this time to run forward and send Gabbriel a tug to warn her. With a slight now of her head, she landed harshly on the ground, rolled once, and kneeled down with on knee - her hands overlapping each other in a 'X' position.

"Metal make; Shield!" She cast, a medium sized shield appearing before her. Gajeel ran to it, jumped onto the metal circle just as Gabbey puffed out her cheeks and cast another spell. "Iron Dragon Roar!"

The shield which Gajeel hung off of was pushed forwards from her roar, it head to Natsu at high-speed, and last second, Gajeel leaped up towards the ceiling and let Natsu get a face-full of metal. When gravity started to pull the male twin down, he did a flip to gain momentum - made his iron claws grow again - and sliced towards the Fire Dragon Slayer.

Natsu stumbled back, barely dodging, before sending a sweep kick towards Gajeel. The black-haired male jumped, just as Gabbey ran forwards and sent a kick aimed for his face. This time, it hit his mark and sent him flying. The younger male actually let out a curse, clutching his nose as he fell back. Gajeel wasted no time and swiped at Natsu away to leave deep scratch marks.

Natsu rolled away last second - but Gajeel's nails nicked his side. When Natsu got up yet again, he dashed forward with speed that neither of them were ready for, and sent his fist punch towards Gajeel, making him stumble back. Doing a quick spin, he leaped off the ground and stuck Gabbey with the heel of his foot, making her fall back.

"Shit." She muttered, holding her cheek as Gajeel sent a silent tug at their bond, wondering if she was fine. Pushing reassurance back, she sprung up and whipped her hand down, metal knuckles protruding from where her knuckle points were.

To show she was fine, she ran swiftly over to the Salamander and started throwing punches. He tried to dodge each other - wincing when he was caught or nicked - and started throwing back his own punches. This went on for what seemed like forever before Gabbey quickly broke the fist-fight with a good slug towards his face.

Natsu stumbled back, four holes appearing in his cheek as he made a quick retreat. Gabbriel panted lightly, getting wearied out, and flipped backwards, letting her brother take her place. She watched with observing eyes as her brother and the fairy fought. At the last punch, Natsu and Gajeel socked each other in the face at the same time with their element. They instantly flew back and everyone around them fell back - even Gabbriel.

She let out a out-of-breath huff before charging forward with her brother, letting out a battle cry with the other two dragon slayers.

They three of them exchanged punch for punch, kick for kick as they fought at what seemed like the speed of light. Well, that's what everyone around they saw - flashes of lights as they fought. Natsu gave a good, hard punch to Gajeel's jaw, sending the older twin backwards, and leapt up in the air with a leg of fire, about to send it back on Gajeel's head. Gabbey was kick to react, giving a spear to Natsu that knocked him out of the air. Gajeel quickly flipped backwards, as did Gabbey before they charged again.

Gajeel sent an elbow, hitting Natsu before the pink-haired male sent another punch. The three of them let out another roar - one sound close to a dragon - before attacking each other again.

"In. . .Incredible. .. " Lucy whispered softly, watching the light show in front of her. Gabbey pushed a warning towards Gajeel before sending a hard punch towards Natsu's cheek. It hit him hard, making him stumble back a bit, but Gabbriel wasn't done. She did a swift 360 and sent another kick towards his temple, a perfect kick. It hit him again and he let out a roar, rearing back before rushing the younger twin. She wasn't even steady yet as Natsu sent a hard elbow to her gut, reared back, and sent an even harder punch towards Gabbey.

This sent her flying as Gajeel ran forward, grabbed the Fire Dragon Slayer's scarf and head butting him hard. Natsu went into a dazed state but quickly snapped out of it, head-butting Natsu back just as hard. The black-haired male stumbled backwards, next to his sister.

Gabbey laid in a crawling position, panting hard before Gajeel helped her up. There matching red eyes glared at the onyx eyes of their enemy, Gajeel holding his sister up by her upper arm. The girl almost let out a snarl of what her guildmates 'whispered'.

"Gajeel looks like he's feeling the pressure!!"

"Gabbriel looks like she can pass out any second now!"

"No. . .That Salamander seems to be breathing pretty heavy as well."

Gabbriel's lip pulled up to reveal her sharp canines, tugging slightly on Gajeel's hold. The older twin yanked her back, sending her a look before letting go and tugging up a chunk of metal flooring from under them.

"Why you little," Natsu started, glaring enviously at the twins. "How come you get to eat?!"

Gajeel snorted softly, handing a chunk of metal towards Gabbriel. The girl sent her thanks through the bond before taking a bite of the meal. Her strength slowly returned to her, making her rise from her slouched position and roll her shoulders.

The twins let out snickers at the same time, wiping the edges of their mouths as they finished off their meal. Gajeel's iron scales repaired themselves, as did Gabbriel's iron scales. Natsu instantly got in a defensive position just as they released their attacks.

   "Iron Dragon Lance: Demon Logs!

   "Metal Make: Rose Vines!"

Gajeel's arm turned into a spear and started rapid shooting at Natsu - hitting him dead on - while Gabbriel made metal-like vines with thorns tearing up the floor and hitting him, also keeping him in place for Gajeel's attack.

While Natsu staggered back, Gajeel ran forward and gave him a hard punch - making Natsu's head whip to the side. Gabbriel swiftly ran under Gajeel's arm and pushed her knee into Natsu's gut, making him wheeze at the sudden loss of air. Then, Gajeel made his arm become an Iron rod and shot him up to the ceiling. Just as Natsu land harshly on the ground, the blonde's voice ran out from behind him.

"I am the one who forges the path to the celestial plain! Open, Gate of the Centaur, Sagittarius!" Gabbriel's plucked eyebrow twitched slightly in irritation as a man in a horse outfit, carrying a bow and arrow appeared out of nowhere, saluting to nothing.

"What the fuck is that?" She muttered, watching the interaction.

"No clue. . ." Gajeel mumbled back, popping his fist in one movement.

"Lucy! You stay out of this! It's too dangerous!" Natsu ordered, about to make another move.

A wicked grin spreads across Gabbey's face as she leans slightly forward, in a taunting way. "Oh? You think we're going to leave her alone? Well, tough luck. After we're done with you, little Lucy will have to entertain us till we take her home."

Dark shadows covered the Salamander's face as he shot forwards, wrapping his arms around Gajeel's waist and Gabbriel stomach to tackle them down. But they didn't even budge, simply looked down at the male.

"That's all?" The twins sneered in sync, the two of them grabbing Natsu by the ankles. The duo threw him over their shoulders and Gabbey sent a quick jab towards the fairies' side, his breath being lost.

"Guess you're not so tough when you're hungry, huh?" Gabbriel snickered, letting her grip go while Gajeel tightens his grip.

"Well then, eat steel!" He laughed, swinging Natsu into the steel walls and floors face first. Gabbriel joined in the laughter, hearing the Phantom Lord members cringe.

"Guess no one can really beat Gajeel or Gabbriel. . ."

"I have no further use for you now." Gajeel declared, tossing Natsu up into the air. Taking that as her que, Gabbriel leaped up into the air, winded back her leg, and sent a hard kick to Natsu. A crack resounded throughout the room as Natsu went flying.

"Get out of our sight, trash!"

Another crash sounded as Natsu hit the wall and made it crumble, revealing the outside. The pink-haired male dangled half-way outside, head hanging in a relaxed position.

   "All right!"

   "That's our Gajeel!"

"We knew Gabbriel could do it!" The Phantoms whooped loudly, having a mini celebration. Gabbriel beamed, giving Gajeel a fist bump, who laughed loudly. At the sudden movement outside, two pairs of red eyes darted towards Fairy Tail's guild hall.

Gabbey clicked her tongue a couple of times. "Well, would you look at that. . ."

"Look at that thing you're fighting so hard to protect." Gajeel finished.

"Ain't that a shame." Gabbriel sighed in mock sympathy. "Oh well, at least Magnolia won't have to go through the trouble of getting it torn down."

"I think we just helped them out, don't you think so?"

   "Totally!"

Their words must have gotten to him, or something must have sparked Natsu up again, because he struggled to get on his feet again. He stumbled around - like a drunk - to turn around and face Gajeel's and Gabbriel's smirking faces.

   "H. . .He stood up!"

   "N. . .No way!!"

Gabbriel watched with interested red eyes as Natsu stumbled in front of the twins. He panted heavily, leaning down yet trying to stand.

"Your guild has collapsed." She stated bluntly, shifting her weight to the other foot.

"You guys have already lost." Gajeel declared, gripping Natsu's scarf and in a swift movement, threw him to the wall behind them. But he got right back up - although coughing up a bit of blood. Gabbriel let out a low huffed, dashing over at the same time Gajeel did.

"Why don't you give up already, Salamander?!" He yelled, kneeing Natsu in the gut.

"You could've just walked away from this shit!" Gabbriel added, swinging her leg in an arc and hitting Natsu on the back of the neck, making him face plant into the ground.

"We don't know the meaning of going easy on someone." Gajeel grunted, sending a hard punch to Natsu. "You're going to die for real this time!"

"Destroying the Jupiter cannon, fighting the Element Four, he just used up too much magic!! If he just had some fire to eat, there's no way he'd be losing!!" Much to her annoyance, the blue cat started talking. Gabbriel momentarily stopped her assault on Natsu to throw a small dagger towards the cat to get it to shut up.

"Lil' blue shit." She growled towards the cat, Gajeel's amusement pushing through the bond as she gave Natsu a hard right hook. Her older brother jumped back, his arm turning into a sword. Gabbriel followed, making a small sword appear in her hands.

At the same time, they launched towards the Salamander. "Your finished, Salamander!!"

   "STOP IT!!"

Gabbriel let out a sharp intake of air as an arrow flew past the Phantom members, the sharp tip of the arrow head slicing the bridge of her nose a bit. The explosion of machinery knocked her out of her dazed state, making her and Gajeel leap away from the heat of flames.

"Fire!!" Natsu exclaimed, instantly gobbling up some fire.

"What the hell is that horse-lookin' thing!?" Gajeel shouted.

"No idea," Gabbriel touched the small wound - that would no doubt leave a scar - and glared at. . .it. "But I'm going to beat his ass in later."

The twin's attention went back the Natsu as he thanked Lucy, wiping his mouth. They instantly harden their glares and running forwards.

"Don't get all cocky just because you ate a little bit of fire!!" Gajeel roared. "That just puts us back on equal footing!"

"You're not going to-" Gabbriel was cut off as Natsu gave them the most frightening glare she had ever received. She felt Gajeel's hesitance and surprise just before Natsu gave them both a hard uppercut.

"Levi. . . Jet. . .Droy. . .The old man, Lucy, all my nakama. . .and now Fairy tail." Natsu growled out.

Gajeel quickly grabbed Gabbriel's wrist, yanking her back and started his roar attack, which Gabbriel quickly followed in suit. "Iron's Dragon Roar!!"

But Natsu didn't even flinch, he simply put his hands out as if he was catching it. Gabbriel let out a surprised yell as the combined roar was suddenly bounced back towards them. The younger twin felt Gajeel's surprise max out and she was pretty sure her shock was overwhelming him.

"How many things do you have to beat up before you're satisfied?!" Natsu bellowed.

"This is ridiculous!" Gajeel suddenly shouted. "I, Gajeel, to a brat like this! To a piece of trash like this?!"

"This is a dream. . .This has to be a dream!!" Gabbriel panicked, her calm facade suddenly disappearing.

"I'm going to pay you back for the lot of it!!" Natsu declared, pulling back his fist coated in fire. "You're going to regret you ever laid your hands on Fairy Tail!!"

Gabbriel wheezed as Natsu punched the two of them as fast and as hard as possible. Her body filled with pain and as the punches continued, slowly went numb. With one final punch that hit them both at the same time, Gabbey and Gajeel were sent out of their guild hall and into a crumbling platform below.

"Now. . .We're even. . ." She heard Natsu mutter.

She shook slightly, her forehead hitting the ground as they tried to move. But she was exhausted and just laid there, next to her brother. Her fingers twitched as she felt the full-force of her brother emotions crash down on her, and he no doubt felt the same tidal wave as his own fingers twitched.

Slowly, she hooked her ring finger and pinkie finger with Gajeel's one thought running through her head.

We. . .we lost. . .
