BrokenbyLife is Introduced in the Tomoki goes to Alola (and stays) AU

AU Bio:

An AU where Tomoki is transferred to Alola due to budget cuts in the school. There he meets Satoshi during the festival and falls in love with him. He then decides to stay with Satoshi and becomes an Ultra Guardian with the others, before leaving with Satoshi to Kanto. Satoshi's adventures are chronicled in a small diary he keeps for every region, and he makes them into light novels with Tomoki's help as they and Gou begin to discover just why the regions were isolated.

Pairings:

Tomoki x Satoshi x Gou (BrokenbyLifeShipping), Satoshi x Tomoki (BlazingIceShipping), Koharu x Hikari

Characters:

1. Himi Tomoki

The Legendary Warrior of Ice, Tomoki is a kind and energetic boy by nature, but it has dimmed due to the harsh reality he lives in. But after moving to Alola, he begins to open up more, even telling Satoshi the truth about his past. He then becomes a member of the Ultra Guardians and fights in the Manalo Conference, coming out as third overall. Afterward, when Satoshi decides to head back to Kanto, Tomoki confesses to him and says that he wants to follow him. Satoshi accepts him, and they begin dating before their meeting with Gou on Lugia.

In terms of Pokemon research, Tomoki is the balance between the two, ensuring they don't go overboard, and even mediating between Satoshi and Gou's fight in episode 3. It's Tomoki who encourages Gou to open up, and eventually invites Gou to be boyfriends with them. He eases Gou into the routine and helps Satoshi in giving Gou time to get used to it. However, he is also affectionate and gives them hugs from behind frequently. He cares a lot for them, and is prone to pushing them out of the way of different threats. Tomoki's main goal is to figure out why the regions were isolated, and their trips to meet other people such as Poplar, Denji, and the Pokemon Hunters slowly lead him to the answer.

He has a Fushigidane as his starter even though his main partner is a Kyukon from Alola that he befriended. However, he does help Gou with catching some Pokemon here and there before trading it with one of his Ice-types. He loves Ice-types, even though he also attracts Steel-types to himself as a result of having been in the Digital World and Sword Art Online.

2. Satoshi

Arceus' Chosen One, Satoshi cares a lot for his friends, but holds a lot of pain and trauma inside his heart. It is only when he meets Tomoki that he learns to let his pain out, that it's okay to not be okay. They end up becoming really close and he wins the Manalo Conference, becoming Alola's first Champion. After that, he decides to head back to Kanto, and Tomoki comes with him. Eventually, he becomes a Research Fellow alongside Gou and Tomoki.

In terms of Pokemon research, Satoshi's the hands-on kind of guy, and can't say no to a Pokemon in need. This puts him at odds with Gou during their first mission, but Tomoki mediates between them, making them talk about their problems as they follow the Fushigidane. When Satoshi hears about the loneliness, he feels bad and apologises, but Gou says it's okay, and Tomoki is happy. Then they end up working together to defeat Team Rocket (although Gou is distracted by the talking Nyarth--) and Gou is hit by a double crush on both of them as they stand upfront to protect the Fushigidane.

In terms of romance, though, Satoshi is the physically affectionate type of person, and hugs his boyfriends often. Hand touching, shoulder hugs... you name it. However, he does understand that Gou needs space and happily gives it to him as he slowly gets used to it. He is reckless and would put himself in front of his loved ones to protect them.

He has his trusted Pikachu, though he begins to befriend and catch other Pokemon, like Kairyuu, Gangar, Kamonegi (Galarian Form), Lucario, and Uonoragon. After visiting the lab where his old Pokemon resides, Satoshi is convinced by Tomoki and Gou to use more of his old Pokemon, so he starts switching them out. He has 7 teams currently since his Pokemon in Alola have their own things to do. He's very versatile with the type-advantages now thanks to Tomoki drilling them into his head, although he still prefers battling with type disadvantages. (Gou and Tomoki do NOT approve of this whatsoever.)

3. Gou

Now a Research Fellow at Sakuragi Labs, Gou loves Pokemon just as much as Satoshi does, and is thus surprised that Tomoki came from a place without Pokemon. Gou meets the two on Lugia, and they get along really well, although at times they can get competitive (mainly Satoshi and Gou, though).

Gou is definitely the brain of the three, although he does have moments when he shares a brain cell with Satoshi and Tomoki (that's when others tease them for being triplets). As he spends more time with them, their traits begin to rub off on him, and he becomes more fluent in battling, bonding, and understanding Pokemon.

However, despite his smarts, he's very awkward when it comes to romantic relationships and friendships in general. Because of this, he's at odds with Satoshi at first, only to grow closer afterward. As a result, after he catches Flygon, Gou asks Tomoki and Satoshi if he can go on a date with them. This is the beginning of them easing him into the relationship, although Gou does try to be more romantic.

His starter Pokemon, despite not being Mew as he originally wanted, has evolved from a Hibunny to an Aceburn, and so has his Messon, caught when Aceburn was a Rabbifoot, into Inteleon. His dream is to catch every kind of Pokemon, which is why he has caught a lot of Pokemon, notably all 12 Bug-type Pokemon in Kanto and every type of Flabebe there is in Kalos. He's also gotten better at battling, learning from Satoshi's reckless fighting and Tomoki's more confident skills.

4. Sakuragi Koharu

She is Professor Sakuragi's daughter, and she cares a lot for Pokemon and her friends despite her cold exterior, like her childhood friend, Gou. She has to go to school alone when Gou stops going to school, and for years she's been doing stuff for him related to school. But after she meets Satoshi and Tomoki, Koharu begins to see how nice it is to travel, and starts taking time off to explore while also helping her Eevee figure out what it wants to do.

She has a pet Wanpachi, but she recently acquired an Eevee whose genes are more unstable than most, allowing it to access different kinds of moves. Because of her Eevee, Koharu now travels with her friends to meet more Eeveevolutions so Eevee can make its own choices, and she grows especially close to Hikari.

5. Hikari

After meeting Koharu, Hikari is invited by Satoshi to join them as research fellows, and takes it, wanting to spend more time with Koharu. While they have "repressed tension" according to Satoshi, they still get along well, and their friendship begins to grow.

She has a Pochama as her starter who travels around with her similar to Pikachu with Satoshi, although she does have her team for Contests. She may be clumsy, but she cares a lot for her friends despite the amount of snark she usually has for them, especially Satoshi. She usually shares a lot of funny stories about him too, which Tomoki and Gou listen to with rapt attention mainly to tease Satoshi.

6. Kukui-hakase

With everything he's done so far, Kukui is grateful to the Ultra Guardians and their Pokemon for helping out. He is also the regional professor of Alola alongside Burnet and the Aether Foundation, and cared for Satoshi and Tomoki while they were staying in Alola. Because of this, Satoshi tends to refer to Kukui as his surrogate dad, and Tomoki calls him the cool uncle. He is also the Royal Mask of Alola, founding the Manalo Conference with influence from Satoshi. After he is unmasked, he becomes one of the Elite Four in Alola, and ends up temporarily being partnered with Kapu Kokeko as its final trial for Satoshi.

His starter Pokemon was a Nyabby who became a Gaogaen and his main partner during his time as Royal Mask, although he has other teammates who fought against Satoshi during his exhibition match following the Akiziking incident. He is married to Burnet, and still teaches at the Pokemon School.

7. Burnet-hakase

She moved into Kukui-hakase's house shortly after marrying him, and has become a mother to Satoshi and an aunt to Tomoki. She works at the Aether Foundation, and does her best to provide love to the two boys. When they finally confess their love for each other, she is ecstatic. She is even happier when Gou joins their relationship.

While she only has a Munchlax, she is very versatile, having the permission to command most of Satoshi's and Tomoki's Alolan teams once they leave, and is a great Pokemon researcher. After Satoshi introduces her to Sakuragi-hakase, the two get along really well, and tend to do video calls for various reasons, such as complaining of stupid people (read: Satoshi, Gou, Kukui).

Why the Regions were Isolated (RPed with XenoSaiyan)

Mythical creatures called Pokemon came into play during the first and second world wars.

An unnamed Ranger in military uniform shuddered a bit as he asked his commander, "Are you sure about this..?" at the mouth of a cave that would lead to Manaphy. It wasn't exactly Fiore's (which would later be called Italy) first choice for their secret weapon, but Mythical Pokémon held similar power to their Legendary counterparts, and they needed something to show for their efforts.

"We have to. If not... We may as well be dead to the world," the commander scowled.

The Ranger sighed and nodded, getting a device ready as he said, "Then I hope this device is able to make it listen."

They weren't the only ones making that very stupid choice, though. In Galar, a few Trainers were trying to find Eternatus to use its power against the other side of this war.

And, of course, the other side had to go poking around, too.

One wanted Eternatus, the other wanted Manaphy.

And then there were ordinary Pokémon already being involved! They were willing to stick by their companions, but for those whose human friends died, they mostly just went wild on the battlefield and then left to head back to their friend's family if they weren't knocked out.

However, every attempt to capture a Myth or Legend ended up backfiring horribly. Which led to more Trainers and Rangers needing to use their own or wild Pokémon on the battlefield.

Which, of course, led to both sides slowly losing their inhibitions about just shooting the weaker targets that couldn't take bullets like raindrops.

Kindness seemed to leave their minds.

It left one side much faster, but it still did leave a lot of Pokemon dying on the battlefield.

And by that point, with no Trainers left, something weird happened. Pokémon started disappearing en masse.

The world didn't know why.

And then some regions began to protest, beginning with some places in the Kanto region...

Luckily, by that point, the war was close to ending.

Unluckily, though, Pokémon had entirely vanished at that point. Aside from a few times, where kinder-minded people would occasionally spot one or secretly get helped by one. But otherwise, it was like, aside from the technology associated with them, they'd practically stopped existing.

Humans were selfish though. Self-centered as they were, they isolated the regions completely and wiped them off the face of the earth.

However, that had been the plan all along; to get them to isolate the regions so Pokemon could thrive once more.

And since pretty much ignoring whole Regions left the world map.. more changed than people liked to admit, the countries started changing their names. If only to indicate a sort of acceptance that Pokémon likely weren't coming back to human society.

And so, history erased Pokemon, and the world moved on.

Funny Scenes in the AU

(Episode 81)

Tomoki: (sees the glint) No sir not today. (grabs Satoshi's jacket as Gou helps him pull the other away) Sorry Sir, but we can probably figure this out on our own. Unless you wanna be attacked again, I suggest you leave.

Satoshi: OI TOMOKIIII!

Gou: Satoshi, just SHUT UP FOR ONCE-

(They drag him away)

(Feel free to help me expand XD I have no energy to go on with this AU--)
