Once lived a peaceful village, most people above 18, very few children below the age. They were all happy, loving, helpful of each other. But it wasn't always like this. Older children below 18 picked on the smaller children. However, there were some others who defended the weak. They were known as 'Heroes of the Youth' in the village. This was usually an uncommon thing, nowadays, as none followed the steps of the first and bravest; Nero. He was a young boy, who defended many children throughout all the years of his life as a youth. People usually inherit his courage, strength, honesty of word, humbleness, and fraternity to the ones he protected. Sadly, he died because a group of bullies in the village pushed him off the cliff he lingered on every sunset. His honor was forever known. But still, after his death, the bullies were never seen again. Their disappearance remained mystery, with no clues to hint want had happened. Then everything went to normal. No bullies. No victims. Nothing. Just peace was seen among the villagers. Not for long though.

Several years later, the Outsiders find an unstoppable virus (they don't know it's unstoppable) and it will not stop spreading among the people 18 and above in their state. One could easily be infected, for this virus was airborne. A few deaths of 18 year old's have been recorded inside the village, and blamed the deaths on the Outsiders. The Outsiders had not ignored this, and started looking for a solution.

Another outbreak in a different state, far from the village, had almost all its people 18 and above, died of the virus. Again the Outsiders had been blamed for the deaths. Then, worse. Three states beside the previous state waged a war against them. All of the states that had gathered and entered the state, died, as long as they were 18 years and above. This was really angering the states, for the Outsiders had not even found a cure to it. It spread among the people studying it, the village, and other states.

By that time, almost the whole village was 18 and above. There were only two children left. A brave, courageous, and determined girl and her friend, a kind and caring boy. Alongside was the girl's dog, a puppy, still. The girl was just 4 years old, while the boy was about 11. They lived together after their parents died. They always worked hard for each other to survive.

And of course they grew, in the present, the girl now 11, and the boy 18. Since they were able to avoid during the years the illness has been present in the villages, they were safe. But eventually, they had to leave, for the food and water were becoming short. They needed to find a way.
