Rudolph
I cried for about an hour, then put on sunglasses, a hoodie, and my old nose cover to go to the store to get some eggnog.
I wanted to get drunk, and by Santa's beard I was gonna. I wanted to forget about Hermey and his golden hair. I wanted to forget about Hermey and his luscious lips. I wanted to forget about Hermey and his powerful legs.
I wanted to forget the taste of his peppermint epidermis.
I headed out.
I ran into Clarice on my way.
"Hi," I grunted.
"Hermey left, didn't he, Rudolph?" Clarice asked.
"How did you know that it was me?" I asked.
"I always know when it's you, Rudolph," Clarice said. "I think Hermey's leaving tonight."
"Let him leave. He broke my heart, Clarice," I huffed.
"If you really love Hermey, I think you should go after him," Clarice said.
"You really think I should?" I asked, blinking.
Clarice nodded. "I'm really sorry for telling him, Rudolph."
But I had already took off in flight, my hoody and nose cover and sunglasses flying off.
Hermey
I listened to "Last Christmas" on my headphones as I got on the plane. Of course it was the Kidz Bop version, my favorite.
But I couldn't help but think of Rudolph and blink back tears.
I missed him already. Why did he have to be a jerk? Why did he have to smash my heart to pieces? Why did he have to be an eggnog addict?
I would never get to kiss his lips. He would never be my nutcracker. He would never be my love.
I sat at a window seat and curled up, ignoring the flight attendant as she explains that the emergency exit is only for emergencies.
Rudolph's sexy image wouldn't leave my brain. I realized that he was permanently seared into my mind and heart.
But no. I wouldn't go back to Rudolph. I was going to go be with Buddy the Elf instead.
I strained to picture myself kissing Buddy again. I cringed and unfastened my seatbelt.
"Please fasten you're seatbelt," the flight attendant said. I noticed that the engine of the plane was revved up.
It was too late. I couldn't go back to Rudolph now. I buckled my seatbelt back up, about to burst into tears.
