The smile didn't leave Ava' face even when she arrived home, she ate her dinner then hugged her mother and whispered a quick thank you, and goodnight before retiring to bed.

When Remus arrived at the Great Hall, he saw his friends almost immediately, he sat down next to Peter, across from Peter was James who was next to Sirius. They talked and ate until they started making their way to their dorm.

Once they arrived at the dorm, that's when Remus got bombarded with questions like where was he? Was he with anyone, or was he kidnapped? And just more odd question along those lines.

When Remus finally got to lay in his bed all he could think about, was Ava, when he did fall asleep, it was the early hours of the morning.

Ava went to her room (just a room with seaweed hanging down like a door) she though about Remus all night, she was too excited to see him tomorrow and to walk on land with him. Ava finally fell asleep in the early hours of the morning.

Remus woke up to the sun shining right into his eyes, it was a Saturday, and he promised Ava that he would bring her up here to meet James, Sirius and Peter and for them to meet her. Remus was ready and surprising the only one awake, James was always the first one up, he shrugged it off and started descending the stairs to the dormitory.

When Remus arrived at the Great Hall, he got himself and Ava some breakfast, then started heading to the lake to meet up with Ava.

Ava woke up quite early that morning she brushed her teeth(I have no idea how a mermaid would brush their teeth but oh well) and brushed her hair. She left her room and found her mother in the kitchen.

"I'm going, I don't know if I will be back tonight, but I will be back tomorrow mum," Ava said before giving he mum a big hug and leaving excited to see Remus again.

Remus set up a romantic breakfast at the side of the lake for Ava and himself he was waiting for not even two minutes when Ava emerged from the water a swam over to him.

Ava leaned up and kissed Remus' cheek "good morning Remus," Ava said happily.

"Good morning to you too Ava," Remus said while bringing out a few finishing touches from the picnic basket.

Once Remus finished bringing everything out, he careful helped Ava out of the water and onto the grass to dry off and get her legs. Ava dried off within five minutes, and that's when Remus slipped one of his t-shirts over her head.

Remus and Ava enjoyed a romantic breakfast but little did they know the rest of the Mauraders and Lily were watching from a distance. They watched as they talked, laughed and sometimes kissed until they got up and started heading their way. Remus and Ava were just about to walk (well Remus supporting Ava as she tried to get used to walking) when Remus saw his friends.

Remus stopped which caused Ava to fall over "hello guys," Remus quickly said before bending down to help Ava back up. "We were just coming to find you" he added as he looked at all his friend's confused faces. "What?" he asked.

Sirius was the first one to speak "who is this" he said pointing at Ava, making her nervous and causing her to hide behind Remus.

Remus took Ava' hand to reassure he that she is safe and they don't mean harm "this is my girlfriend, Ava" Remus said as he pulled Ava out from behind him.

Lily looked at Ava, then asked the question everyone was thinking "I've never seen you before, what house are you in?" she asked, causing Ava to panic.

"Um...well...um" Ava was panicking now, and Remus could tell. "She's not in any house Lily, she doesn't go to Hogwarts or any magical school," Remus said

"What?" they all asked all with equally confused faces.

Remus looked at Ava before quietly asking if it was ok to tell them, Ava nodded slowly. Remus took a deep breath before giving the one answer which would answer probably most of their questions, "Ava doesn't go to Hogwarts because she's a mermaid," he says as he watches his friends faces grow from confused to shocked.

"Any way you know Ava, but Ava doesn't know you guys," Remus said.

Remus pointed to Sirius "that is Sirius Black," Ava nodded as Sirius winked at her.

"James Potter," Remus said as he put a hand on James' shoulder.

Remus pointed at Peter "that Peter Pettigrew,"

"Last but certainly not least this is Lily Evans and James' girlfriend," Remus said walked back over to Ava.

"Wait, so you're like a real mermaid?" James asked, and Ava nodded.

That day the Maurader's and Lily just asked Ava what it was like to be a mermaid, and asked if any of the myths were correct like if a mermaid kissed you could you breathe underwater? To be honest, even Ava didn't know.

Nightfall was approaching fast when The Mauraders, Lily and Ava decided to head to the Gryffindor Common Room. It took a lot of effort to hid Ava from everyone, but their efforts paid off when they arrived at The Mauraders dorm.

Lily gave Ava some of her pyjamas to sleep in and promised her they would go shopping for clothes tomorrow.

They started their night with a game of truth and dare, James went first and asked Sirius truth, or dare he choose dare without a second thought.

"Hmmm...I know put on Lily' bra and keep it on for the rest of the game". James said as he got a glare from Lily, but she still gave her bra to Sirius who had to get Lily to put it on him.

Sirius wriggled around until he got comfortable before asking Remus "truth, or dare Remus?"

"Um...truth" Remus said before regretting it when he saw the glint in Sirius' eyes.

"Are you going to tell your parents about Ava, or more importantly her being a mermaid?" Sirius asked, Remus, looked to his side and saw a confused looking Ava.

"Yeah...eventually," Remus said, but murmured the last bit. Remus could tell Ava heard the last bit because she looked hurt.

"Why eventually, you've met my mother, why can't I meet your family? Am I not good enough or something?" Ava asked as tears threatened to spill from her eyes.

"No Ava listen, my dad is just a little bit anti mermaid, well most what you call half breed to be honest," Remus said, but realised he made a mistake when a tear fell from her cheek.

"So that all I am now, a half breed," Ava said before standing up and exiting the room.

Everyone in the room looked at Remus before Sirius said "you've messed up, by the way, mermaid hardly cry because people use their tears for evil," he said surprising everyone in the room.

Remus looked out the window of the dorm and saw Ava down at the lake taking the pyjamas off and getting ready to jump in and probably swim away forever, but little did Remus know that wasn't the case and she would return to him, after all, he was her soulmate.
