Now before we get into anything. You need to know me and my family. My name is Skye, I'm sixteen years old, I'm the princess of Crystal Cove (heir to the throne mind you,) and oh yeah did I mention I'm a mermaid?

I have golden brown hair and hazel eyes. My tail is teal and black. My name is Skye because I was born during a horrible storm, but as soon as I smiled, the storm retreated. My parents saw my tail and thought I was the sky's gift. They named me Skye right then and there.

Now before you freak out and run to the ocean looking for me I'm gonna set a few things straight here's a list for you.

1.) Crystal Cove is in another dimension, more on that later.

2.) We look just like you humans when we are in your world.

3.) We will expose ourselves at some point.

4.) I'm not a stereotypical "Little Mermaid" give up your voice for legs person. I love both the human and mer world.

5.) I'm here to tell my story. If I didn't want you to find out about me, I wouldn't be writing this.

Okay. Now I'll tell you about my family. First off my parents are king Soren and queen Cora. They rule (no pun intended) as parents. My father has black hair and hazel eyes. He has a black tail and has the power of the tide. My mother has a pink tail and is blond with green eyes. She has the power of controlling the weather. They are just regular parents despite being supreme rulers of the mer world. They crack stupid jokes and make dinner.

Now I'll talk to you about my sisters. I have six sisters. First I'll tell you about my younger sisters Winter and Rose.
who are twins. They are fourteen years old. Winter has a Arctic Blue tail, icy blue eyes, and platinum blond hair. She has a pretty frigid attitude hence the name Winter. She's pretty bossy, quiet, and would rather stay shut up in the castle, but overall I love her. Then Rose is the polar opposite of Winter. Rose has a red tail, chocolate brown eyes and hair. She never goes anywhere without her black scarf and her rose hair flower. She is a total party animal. I love her so much.

Next is Pearl. Pearl is thirteen years old and she is very graceful. She has a blue and green tail, pale blue eyes, and blond hair. She loves dancing, singing, and fighting. Yes, she loves to fight. She's a black belt in fish karate. Heck she could teach the class.

Now there's Aurora. She is twelve years old. Aurora is named after her tail which is the color of a tropical sunrise. She has curly golden blond hair and ocean blue eyes. She loves animals. She has a pet turtle and rainbow fish.

I also have a sister named Leila. She is eleven years old. Leila has a magenta tail which reminds me of violets. She has black hair and dark brown eyes. Leila loves music and hospital shows. I wouldn't be surprised if she was both a musician and a surgeon when she gets older.

My youngest sister is Kayla. She is only seven years old. Kayla has a Celtic green tail and love hair bows. Kayla has brown eyes and dirty blond hair. She is a natural born leader. She is a pain in the neck, but I always look out for her.

Now I also have a brother. His name is Jack. He is a Sharkun which is a half human half shark. He is mostly human, but has a dorsal fin and gills. He's eleven years old and is very tech savvy.

Now there's my family, but we have powers too. I have power of water, I can manipulate water at my command. Winter has ice powers, Rose has fire powers, Pearl has super strength, Aurora has animal communication, Leila has healing powers, Kayla has hypnosis, and Jack has flight.

Like I said Crystal Cove is in a different dimension because of humans. Hundreds of years ago the humans became greedy and poisoned the waters of the world. That forced mermaids to one a rift in the universe giving us a new place to call home. Now though humans seem so much nicer. I hope we will make amends and live lives together again.

Now here's my story of how I overcame one of my deepest threats.
