30-Princess?! Part 2
Kid's pov
As the day passed by and night fell, I quietly snuck out of my room. I need to talk to Luna. I headed to her room, standing outside of her door.
"Mmmh! Oh yeah! Right there! Aaaah!"
My eyes widened and I felt my face heat up. What the hell's going on in there? I quickly opened the door to see Luna lying on her stomach on the bed as a servant girl massaged her back.
A quiet sigh of relief escaped my lips. I'm glad it was just a massage that caused all that noise and not what I thought it was. Luna's head perked up as she noticed me.
Luna's pov
I noticed Kid standing in my doorway. "Hey, Kid. What's up?"
He looked at me seriously. "Can we talk? There's something I need to ask you."
I nodded and waved a hand to the servant girl as I sat up. "Leave us."
She bowed and quietly left, shutting the door behind her. I stood up and approached Kid.
"What is it?"
"Something just seems a bit off about all of this. I need to ask you, how do you plan to stop the sand serpent if it does show up?"
I blinked a few times. "Um, I'd fight it of course."
"But the legend doesn't say anything about the princess fighting it."
I shrugged. "Eh, just a minor detail. What else would I do to get it to leave?"
"I don't know, but don't you think it's weird the way they don't show it on the murals?"
I thought for a moment. "Well, I guess so. But what else can we do? Our mission here is to protect the city, and following the legend, I can do my part to help these people."
He sighed. "I suppose you're right."
I smiled and decided to change the subject. "So, did you like my dance?"
He nodded. "I did, but where'd you learn to dance like that?"
I shrugged. "I don't know. It just comes naturally to me."
"Which reminds me, I need to fix your symmetry."
As he came toward me, I backed away slightly. "No, Kid, can't you leave it alone this time? Aren't I pretty?"
He stopped as I looked up at him with a sad face. He sighed in annoyance. "I can't deny that face. You're beautiful, Luna, even if you're not symmetrical."
I playfully wiggled my shoulder and winked at him. "Thank you."
He smirked slightly and moved closer, wrapping his arms around my waist. His warm breath against my ear made me shiver as he quietly spoke.
"You know, when you're dressed like this, everything you do is sexy."
I gave a playful smirk and removed his arms from around my waist. He watched me in slight confusion as I pulled him closer to my bed.
I let go of his arms and slowly walked around him. He carefully watched me as I circled him, lightly touching his face, shoulders, and chest as I moved.
I smirked when I realized he was too distracted to watch my movements. I got into position and tackled him down onto the bed.
He looked at me in surprise as I straddled his waist. I laid against him with my chin resting on my palm as I traced my finger across his chest.
I grinned at him. "Hah, I pin you. I win."
He chuckled as a playful grin crept across his face. "I didn't know we were playing this kind of game."
In an instant, he flipped us over so that he was on top. He pinned my arms and watched in amusement as I tried to free myself.
I eventually gave up and peered up at him with a small smile. "Okay, fine. You win."
Without another word, he leaned down and pressed his lips against mine. My eyes fluttered shut as I kissed him back. I felt him tilt his head a bit to deepen the kiss as his hands slid down to my sides.
He soon pulled away, leaving us both panting. He quickly moved down to my neck where he gently kissed, licked, and nipped.
I gasped as I felt him touch a sensitive spot. I felt him smirk against my skin as he continued his actions on that one spot. I couldn't hold back the soft moans that escaped my lips.
He soon switched to the other side of my neck, quickly finding the sensitive spot and giving it the same treatment. With him positioned between my legs, I could feel him as he pressed himself against me.
I moaned out as I tangled my fingers in his hair. "Aaah, Kid!"
I heard a slight groan come from him as he slowly grinded his crotch against mine. His head soon moved down toward my chest. His hands gently caressed my sides as he kissed between my breasts.
His hands soon moved up to my top where I felt him beginning to take it off. I quickly grabbed his hands, causing him to stop and look at me.
I shyly turned my head away, averting my gaze. "Kid, I'm not ready to go that far...not yet, especially not here."
He turned my head back to look at him. He gently smiled down at me. "I understand. I wouldn't do anything to you that you're not comfortable with."
I returned his smile before leaning up and kissing him one more time. We both sat up and Kid helped me up off the bed. He held my hand in his, bringing it up to his lips before speaking.
"I'll leave you to rest for the night. Sweet dreams, my love."
I smiled. "Goodnight, Kid."
He kissed my hand one more time before leaving my room. I snuggled up in bed, thinking of him as I fell asleep.
Kid's pov
I walked down the hall, soon stopping at Clyde's room. I knocked on the door, seeing it open to reveal Clyde, tiredly rubbing his eyes.
He lazily looked at me. "Kid? What are you doing up so late?"
"Sorry if I woke you. Can I come in? I need to ask you something."
He nodded and let me in, closing the door behind me. I looked at him with a serious expression.
"Clyde, do you get a weird feeling about all of this?"
"About all of what?"
"Everything. The legend, Luna being a princess, Omar."
He scratched the back of his head. "I don't know."
"Clyde, how do you think Luna's supposed to save this city from the sand serpent?"
"Well, I guess she'd fight it? Or something like that."
"Don't you think it's strange that Omar and the murals didn't specify what she's supposed to do?"
"Well now that you mention it, that does seem kind of odd."
"I think there's more to this than we know. Will you help me look into this? Luna could be in danger for all we know."
He nodded. "Sure. I'll do what I can."
"Thanks. We've only got two more days, so we have to hurry."
We both headed down to look at the murals again. Since it was the middle of the night, no one else was around to bother us.
I pointed to the last picture. "You see? All this shows is Princess Amira standing before the serpent. If she really did fight off the serpent, then why is there no picture of such a heroic act?"
Clyde nodded in understanding. "You're right. Why leave out such a big detail of the legend? There's definitely something wrong with all of this."
"What are you two doing up so late?"
We both jumped and turned to see Omar. He slightly frowned at us. I decided to ask him a question.
"If I may ask, how exactly will Luna drive away the sand serpent?"
He blinked a few times. "What an absurd question. She will quell the beast's fury and save Jericho from destruction. Now off to bed, both of you."
I narrowed my eyes as we both quietly returned to our rooms. Funny the way he avoided answering my question.
I think Omar knows what really happens in the legend. I'm beginning to think Luna really is in danger. We have to find the truth before it's too late.
Timeskip to two days later
Clyde and I have been searching all through the city library for the past two days. No luck so far, but we can't give up yet. This is the only place with the information we need, we just have to find it.
I groaned in annoyance. "We're running out of time."
"Kid, come over here. I found something."
I went over to where Clyde sat at a table. I looked at the book he was reading through. He pointed to a picture of the sand serpent.
"Apparently, the sand serpent was created centuries ago by a group of witches and necromancers. Combining their magic with kishin souls, they managed to create a ravenous monster to wipe out entire cities."
The picture of the sand serpent was much clearer than the murals. It looked just like a giant rattlesnake. Clyde continued reading.
"But this creature was smart. It didn't want to be controlled, and instead, turned on its masters. Devouring the ones who created it, it set out to carve its own path."
I thought for a moment. "So it's an independent monster that does what it wants. Hmm, now we know the origins of the serpent, but how is that important to us?"
He shrugged. "I don't know. I just thought it was pretty interesting."
I facepalmed. "Clyde, we're limited on time here."
He nervously laughed. "Yeah, sorry. I'll see what else I can find."
Luna's pov
I sat in my room, getting a shoulder rub and a foot massage from my servants. Omar soon came in with a smile on his face and a cup in his hand.
"Princess, today's the day. Would you like some relaxing tea before you meet with the sand serpent?"
I nodded and smiled. "Sure. Thank you, Omar."
The servants backed away as I stood and took the cup of tea from Omar. I took a few sips of the drink.
I quickly dropped it, hearing it crash on the floor. I wobbled on my feet, my vision getting fuzzy.
"W-What did you do, Omar?"
I felt my body getting weaker and weaker. "Forgive me, Princess, but this is for the good of Jericho."
I collapsed on the floor, struggling to stay awake. As my eyes began to close, I mumbled the first thing that came to mind.
"K-Kid."
Kid's pov
"Clyde, I found it."
He rushed over to me as I opened the book. I finally managed to find a book on the history and legends of the city.
I skimmed through the book until I found the part of the legend where Amira faced the serpent. I began reading where the murals left off.
"Princess Amira offered her own life as a sacrifice to the great serpent in exchange for Jericho's safety. The beast agreed to the terms and devoured the Princess before going into a one hundred year slumber."
I stared at the gruesome pictures in horror. Clyde's shaky voice interrupted my thoughts.
"S-So, does that mean...?"
I jumped out of my seat. "We have to find Luna, now! She's in grave danger!"
Clyde and I rushed out of the library, heading out into the streets and toward the palace. Please be okay, Luna.
