27-What A Pest!
In the pic is Clyde's partner Kari.

Clyde's pov
Oh, Luna. I'm so sorry for what I put you through. I wish you knew how much I care for you. How much I...love you.
I'm not going to let her push me away. I just want to start things over with her.
"What are you going to do know, Clyde?"
I looked down at Kari, her brown, innocent eyes staring up at me. I had become a meister in hopes of finding Luna.
Kari knew how I felt about Luna, and happily supported me the whole way. She always rambled on about how cute and romantic it all was. Such a sweet, little girl.
Wait a minute, if Luna knows the son of Lord Death, then could that mean...? A grin spread across my lips.
"I'll tell you what we're going to do, Kari. We're going to join the DWMA."
Timeskip to the next day
Kari and I ate breakfast before heading to the DWMA. We had met with Lord Death yesterday, and luckily, he allowed us to join.
We headed to Class Crescent Moon, arriving before most other students. I sat down beside Kari as a girl with pigtails came over and greeted us.
"Hi, you must be new here. My name's Maka, that's my partner Soul over there."
She pointed to a white haired guy with pointy teeth that waved at us. I smiled and shook her hand.
"I'm Clyde. That's Kari."
Kari waved and smiled as Soul came over. Soon enough, we were met by a few other people. A shy, pink haired boy named Crona, a blue haired big mouth named Blackstar, and his black haired weapon, Tsubaki.
They all seemed pretty nice, so I decided to ask, "Any of you know Luna?"
Maka nodded. "Of course we do. She's our friend."
These must be some of the new friends Luna spoke of. "Luna and I were close friends when we were little. We grew up in the same town."
Blackstar yelled, "NO WAY!"
"It's true. But after a stupid mistake I made, Luna wants nothing to do with me now."
Soul simply said, "That's cold, dude."
Tsubaki smiled. "Well I hope you two can work things out so we can all be friends."
Maka nodded. "Yeah. You should probably ask Kid to help you. He's Luna's boyfriend."
My eyes widened as I blurted out, "B-Boyfriend?!"
My heart sank. I had no idea that was her boyfriend I met yesterday, I thought they were just friends.
Soul smirked at my expression. "Oh, I see. You like her, don't you?"
"H-How'd you...?"
"Come on, dude. That reaction just now gave it away."
Maka shook her head and sighed. "You've got a real problem. There's no way she'd pick you over Kid."
Crona finally spoke. "But maybe you could still be friends."
Kari looked at me sadly as if knowing what was going through my head. I...I can't accept this. I really love Luna.
Now I know how special she truly is to win over a reaper. Right at that moment, Luna, Kid, and what I assumed were their weapon partners entered the room.
Luna's pov
I stopped upon entering the classroom, my eyes narrowing at Clyde who sat beside Soul. I glared at him as I took Kid's hand, sitting down in our usual seats.
Maka came over to me and I asked her, "What is he doing here?"
She smiled slightly. "He and Kari are our new students."
I sarcastically replied, "Oh, joy."
She frowned slightly. "Come on, Luna, can't we all just get along?"
"Did Clyde put you up to this?"
She quickly shook her head. "No! I'm just saying, can't you two just put the past behind you?"
I looked around Maka and straight toward Clyde. I said my next sentence loud enough for him to hear.
"Only if he left this city forever!"
He looked hurt as he gazed at me. I turned my nose up at him and crossed my arms. Kid spoke for me.
"Luna's not interested."
Maka sighed and went back to her seat. I was happy when Stein entered the room and started a lesson. After class, everyone headed to the lunchroom.
I told the others, "Go on ahead, I'm going to the bathroom first."
They all nodded and left, talking to Clyde and Kari as they went. I went to the bathroom and stared at my reflection in the mirror.
How can Clyde already be friends with the others? Even Drake and Drew have warmed up to him. Kid's the only one who shares my dislike for him.
I sighed and fixed a few strands of hair before leaving and going to the lunchroom. Getting my tray of food, I headed over to the table with the others.
I noticed Clyde was sitting in my usual seat. I stood over him and said, "Ahem, you're in my seat. Move it."
He turned and looked up at me, patting the seat next to him. "You're welcome to sit here instead."
"Not on your life."
"Then I guess you don't get your seat back."
I growled. "Fine."
I went down to the other end of the table, sitting by myself. Kid soon got up and sat beside me, followed by the twins in front of me.
Lunch was pretty quiet since I didn't feel like talking much. After lunch, Kid and I headed to the library to do a little more studying.
We sat side by side at a table, quizzing each other. I laughed as Kid would throw in a few random, fun questions.
After a short while, I noticed someone take the seat next to me. Kid and I both looked over to see Clyde with Kari on the other side of him.
He gave a small smile. "I hope you don't mind, Kari and I have a lot of catching up to do."
I looked at him in disgust. "Yeah, actually, I do mind."
He ignored me and began reading with Kari. I scooted closer to Kid, trying to get as far from Clyde as possible.
Kid must not have liked Clyde being over there either. He almost instantly wrapped an arm around my waist.
Throughout our study time, I noticed Clyde often glance over at us whenever we started laughing about something funny.
At one point, he interrupted us to ask a question. "Hey, do either of you have a pencil I can borrow?"
I ignored him while Kid grabbed an extra pencil and handed it to him. "Here, you can keep that one."
"Thanks."
Kid simply nodded and we returned to our studies. After awhile longer, Kid and I got up and left. As we got close to the main doors of the DWMA, I realized I'd forgotten something.
"Oh, wait. I forgot my book. I'll be right back."
I quickly rushed back toward the library, hoping to get my book before Clyde noticed I left it. Unfortunately, I saw Clyde coming down the hall with my book in his hand.
I sighed in annoyance as he rushed over to me. "Luna, you forgot your book."
I sarcastically replied, "No, really?"
He handed it out to me and I quickly snatched it out of his hand. I turned and began to leave but suddenly felt myself being pushed against the wall.
Clyde pinned my arms, staring into my eyes as he said, "Would you just listen to me for once?"
I struggled to free myself, but his grip remained firm. "I don't want to hear anything you have to say."
"Then I won't talk. Let me show you."
He suddenly pushed his lips against mine. I struggled as he kissed me, finally freeing my arms and shoving him away.
I only just now realized Kid was standing just a few steps away, staring in shock at what just happened. I rushed behind him, clutching his arm.
"Kid, I'm so sorry! I wasn't-"
"I know, Luna. I saw the whole thing. It wasn't your fault."
He flashed me a smile before turning his attention back toward Clyde, anger clearly visible on his face.
"And what the hell do you think you're doing? I'm not someone you should mess with, Clyde."
Clyde held his hands up defensively. "I...I'm sorry! I didn't mean to..."
If only looks could kill, Clyde would be dead from Kid's intense glare. Kid looked like he was about to attack Clyde at any moment.
I tugged on his arm, causing him to look back at me. "Don't bother, Kid. He's not worth it."
We both turned and left, leaving Clyde alone in the hallway. As we headed home, I continually wiped my mouth in disgust.
Making it home, I headed to the bathroom and rinsed my mouth out. Kid soon came in as I was finishing up. I watched him in the mirror as he came over and wrapped his arms around me from behind.
I stuck out my tongue in disgust as I said, "I can't believe that bastard. Who does he think he is?"
Kid nuzzled my neck, giving it a few light kisses. "Just forget about it now. Like you said, he isn't worth it."
A small smile spread across my lips. "Yeah. Why don't you help me forget about that disgusting experience?"
He grinned slightly and nodded. I spent almost the whole day cuddling and exchanging kisses with Kid. Sure enough, it took my mind off Clyde.
Timeskip to exam day
"Phew, I'm so glad that's over with."
Everyone completed the test and Maka and Soul invited all of us to their place to celebrate after school. Unfortunately, they also invited Clyde.
I was walking with the rest of the gang toward Maka's place. I hung back a bit alongside Kid, staying away from Clyde.
"Now we just have to wait and see our scores Monday."
I nodded at Kid's statement. I'm sure I did okay, but I'm really hoping Clyde fails, that would make my day.
Making it to Maka's, Patty immediately said, "Now let's play twister!"
Apparently she brought the game from home. Drake and Soul were the first to volunteer. Kid and I then decided to join in.
Drake said, "Wait a minute! That's not fair! Luna's like, super flexible!"
I smirked. "What's the matter, Drake? Afraid of a little competition?"
"Oh, you are so on, Lulu."
We began playing, Liz and Patty taking turns spinning the spinner. Soul was the first one out, followed by Drake, leaving me and Kid.
Liz seemed to freeze in thought for a moment, a smirk appearing on her face as she looked at us. I was afraid of what was going on in her head as she spun the spinner.
"Luna, left foot green."
"Just me?"
She nodded. "We're going to change things up a bit."
I did as she instructed and moved my left foot to a green spot.
"Kid, right foot yellow."
He did as instructed, his right foot next to my left one.
"Luna, right hand blue. Kid, left hand red. Luna, right foot red. Kid, left foot blue."
I glanced over at her as Patty began giggling. Kid was almost right over the top of me, there's no way that can be coincidence.
I noticed Liz was turning the spinner with her finger, putting it on whatever she wanted. I decided to call her out on it.
"Liz, you're cheating!"
"No I'm not. The rules say to spin the spinner, they don't say how."
I rolled my eyes at her, seeing some of the others smirking. "Luna, left hand yellow. Kid, right hand green."
Oh man, this was it. Kid was hovering right over me, his legs in between mine and his arms on either side of me. He nervously stared down at me, a slight pink tinted his cheeks.
"Luna, left hand green."
I shifted my hand over to a green spot. "Kid, right hand blue."
He shifted, reaching his right arm over me. He reached for the spot, but got off balance and landed on top of me. We both quickly got up, smiling and joining the others in slight laughter.
Kid smiled. "I guess we're both out."
I giggled. "Yep, but that was fun. I'd like to go again."
Clyde suddenly stepped forward. "Can I join this round?"
Liz nodded to him as my smile quickly faded. "On second thought, I think I'll sit out this time."
Kid followed me as I sat down on one of the couches. Kari and Clyde had both joined in along with Blackstar and Maka. I watched them in slight annoyance at the fact that Clyde was allowed to play.
Kid suddenly pulled me into his lap, wrapping his arms around my waist. He nuzzled and kissed around my neck and collarbone.
"Kid, the others are all in here. There going to see us."
"So? They're all watching the game, they're not paying us any attention."
He was right. No one was paying us a bit of attention. The only one I noticed that would occasionally glance at us was Clyde.
"Kid, Clyde is keeping an eye on us."
"I know. Which is partially why I'm doing this now. I want to make sure he knows that you're mine."
I grinned at him. "Well in that case."
I leaned in and kissed his lips. He kissed back and glided his tongue across my lip, asking for entrance. I opened my mouth, allowing his tongue to enter.
We snuggled and made out for awhile. We suddenly pulled apart upon hearing someone sitting beside us. I realized it was Clyde and narrowed my eyes at him.
"What do you want?"
"Can't I just take a seat next to my old friend?"
"You're not my friend. Not anymore."
"Luna."
He reached toward me, but stopped as I growled at him. I changed form and stood over Kid's legs as I snarled at Clyde.
"Don't you see? I'm still the same monster you believed me to be back then."
He reached toward me again. "Luna, I never really thought that."
I snapped at him. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, unless you want to lose a hand. Now just...leave me alone!"
I jumped down, changing back as I ran out of the house. I didn't know where I was going, I was just getting out of there, away from him.
