Our big sleepover was a lot of fun. After breakfast the next morning, everyone headed home and the rest of the weekend flew by.

Monday morning, we all headed to the DWMA like usual. As soon as we went inside, there were banners everywhere saying that there was going to be a school dance this Friday night.

Drake seemed to be very excited about it. He jumped around talking about how awesome it will be.

After going to class, Stein announced the event before starting another dissecting lesson today. All around the room, I noticed people kept looking at me.

I shrank back in my seat a bit, wishing for them to stop. Drake asked me, "What's wrong, Lulu?"

I glanced around before replying, "Everybody keeps looking at me."

He glanced around. "Yeah, I can see that."

As soon as class was over, I rushed to the lunchroom, hoping to be left alone by those weirdos staring at me.

Kid's pov

As everyone rushed to the lunchroom, I hung back along with Soul and a couple of other people.

Soul grinned. "Hey, Kid. Did you notice all those guys staring at Luna?"

"What?"

I thought Luna was acting a bit strange. "You are going to ask her to the dance, right?"

I nodded. "I was planning to."

"Better hurry before someone else asks her then."

"Yeah."

We both headed to the lunchroom. Getting our food and sitting down, I realized that Luna was missing.

I asked the twins, "Where's Luna?"

Drew replied, "I think she went outside. A few guys were harassing her so she went somewhere quiet."

I quickly ate some of my lunch before heading outside. Sure enough, I found Luna at that place beyond the trees that overlooks the city.

I approached her, placing my hand on her shoulder. She turned toward me with a slight smile.

"Hi, Kid."

"I thought I'd find you out here. What happened?"

She sighed. "Several guys were asking me to go with them to the dance. I kept declining, but they wouldn't just go away."

"Oh, I see. Well I hope you don't mind if I ask you a question then."

She shook her head. "Not at all."

I cleared my throat. "Would you like to be my date for the dance?"

She smiled. "Of course. I was waiting for you to ask me."

She wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me. I returned her hug, wrapping my arms around her waist.

I smiled at her when she pulled away. "And don't worry. Just stick with me and I'll make sure no one bothers you."

She happily nodded. "Okay."

We returned to the lunchroom and I had Luna sit beside me this time. She started eating her lunch until I noticed Hiro walking over.

He stopped in front of Luna, who looked up at him. "Umm, hey, Luna. So, this dance on Friday, I was wondering if-"

He stopped midsentence upon looking at me. I guess he finally noticed the cold glare I was giving him.

"You know what, never mind. I'm sorry for bothering you."

He quickly walked away. Luna turned to me, giggling. "Now that was funny. Way to go, Kid."

Luna's pov

Throughout the week, Kid did a great job of keeping guys away from me. Seeing him be so protective was really cute. I'm glad he asked me to the dance.

It was now Thursday afternoon. The girls all insisted we go find dresses together. We went to all kinds of places, looking for our perfect outfits.

The others all bought their dresses, now they were dragging me around to find mine. Liz had me by the wrist as she went over the details.

"Okay, Luna. You've got to look perfect for Kid tomorrow night. We need to find you the perfect dress."

I sweat dropped as the girls argued over how it should look. Oh boy, this is going to be a tough choice.

They dragged me from store to store, making me try on dresses. While Liz was arguing with Tsubaki about one of the dresses, I slipped away and picked a dress on my own.

I rushed past the girls and into the changing room. I put on the dress (in the pic) and came out, examining myself in a mirror.

"Girls, I think I found my dress."

They all looked me over. Maka grinned. "Wow, that dress really suits you."

Liz huffed. "Yeah, but it shows your left leg. Kid will be upset that it's not symmetrical."

Patty laughed. "He'll probably throw a tantrum!"

I put my hands on my hips. "I don't care. He can deal with it. I'm getting this dress."

Tsubaki grinned. "It is really pretty."

I smiled and bought the dress before we all headed back home. I walked into Gallows Mansion along with Liz and Patty.

We entered the kitchen and busted out laughing. Kid, Drake, and Drew were all busy fixing dinner. Except Drake apparently had a hard time because he was sitting in the floor, covered in food.

He pouted at us. "Shut up!"

Kid looked at us. "Welcome back. We finished getting our outfits early so we started getting dinner ready."

Drew nodded. "It'll soon be done."

I headed upstairs with Liz and Patty and we put our bags away until tomorrow. When we came back downstairs, the boys had dinner all ready.

We all ate before heading to our rooms for the night. The next day, classes seemed to fly by as it was soon time for the dance.

We quickly headed home to get ready. Kid and the twins got done pretty fast and headed to the DWMA before us girls.

I looked at the faint mark on my side before changing into my dress. Luckily, the gash in my side that once hindered me was now almost completely gone.

I put on the black heels that I bought along with my dress then quickly brushed through my hair, leaving it down.

I don't normally wear makeup, but this was an exception. I put on a little bit of eyeshadow and eyeliner before putting pink, sparkly lip gloss on my lips.

I came out of the bathroom to see Liz and Patty waiting for me. Liz jumped in excitement, squealing like a little girl.

"Luna, you look amazing! Kid is going to flip out when he sees you!"

"Thank you, let's get going."

We headed out together, making our way toward the academy.

Kid's pov

The twins and I met up with the rest of the gang once we got here. I was currently at the punch bowl, enjoying a drink when my father came over.

"Hey there, Kiddo! You here alone tonight?"

I shook my head. "No, I'm waiting for Luna to get here."

"Ah, so Luna's your date. Good for you, Kiddo. Well, have fun tonight!"

He left me alone as I waited for Luna. I suddenly heard a lot of murmuring in the crowds. Looking closer, the crowds parted as a figure stepped forward.

My eyes grew wide as Luna approached me. She was all dressed up and she looked stunning.

Luna's pov

Kid stared at me wide eyed and looked me up and down. He was wearing a black suit and even had a black tie with a white skull on it.

I smiled. "Nice suit, Kid. You look very handsome."

"And you look beautiful...but your dress isn't symmetrical!"

I sighed. "Don't freak out, Kid. It's nothing to throw a fit abo-"

Before I could even finish my sentence, Kid had grabbed my wrist and drug me out of the main room. He led me down a small hall and into a classroom.

Rummaging through the room, he then came toward me with a pair of scissors. I gasped and backed away from him.

"Please, Kid, don't!"

He stopped in front of me, staring into my eyes for a moment before quickly grabbing the bottom of my dress and cutting into it.

When I looked down at it, my other leg was now showing through the slit he had just cut into my dress.

"Kiiiiid! Look what you did! You ruined my dress!"

He shook his head. "No I didn't. In fact, I think it looks even better than before."

I crossed my arms. He only thinks it looks better because it's symmetrical. I finally gave up on arguing about it and sighed.

"Let's just go back to the main room."

He nodded and we went back to where everyone else was. There was currently a slow song playing and Kid turned toward me and held out his hand.

"May I have this dance?"

I smiled and took his hand. "You may."

He led me toward the middle of the room where the dancers were. Holding onto one of my hands, he placed his other hand on my waist while I placed mine on his shoulder.

We danced together, staring into each others eyes. I noticed that Maka had convinced Soul to dance with her not far from where we were.

As the slow song ended and a more upbeat song began playing, Kid and I headed over to get some punch. Finishing my drink, Kid looked at me.

"Come with me, Luna. There's someplace I want to show you."

He grabbed my hand and led me away from the main room. He took me up to one of the balconies overlooking the city.

I went over to the edge, taking in the view as Kid stood beside me. The grinning moon and stars seemed to light up the night sky.

"Wow, what a view. Is this why you wanted me to come here?"

"Well actually, I just didn't want to be interrupted."

I tilted my head at him as he smiled. "I have something for you, Luna."

I turned toward him as he dug into his pocket. He pulled out a little black choker with a white death skull dangling in the middle of it.

I gasped as he fastened it around my neck. I touched the little skull before smiling.

"Thank you, Kid. I love it."

"I also have a question for you."

"What is it?"

He took a deep breath before speaking. "Would you be my girlfriend?"

A happy grin spread across my face as I slowly nodded. "Yes, I'd love to be your girlfriend."

He smiled and placed his hands against the sides of my face. I gazed up into his eyes as his face inched closer to mine.

Soon enough, his lips met mine in a gentle kiss. My eyes fluttered shut as I moved my hands up to wrap around his neck.

I eagerly returned his kiss as his hands slid down from my face, down my arms, and stopped at my waist, wrapping around me and pulling me against him.

Everything around us seemed to melt away as our lips moved in sync against each other. When we finally pulled apart, Kid rested his forehead against mine and smiled.

"I love you, Luna."

My smile only widened. "I love you too, Kid."

With that being said, we shared another kiss before turning our attention back to the view. Kid wrapped an arm around my waist as he stood beside me, holding onto my hand.

He would occasionally bring my hand up to his lips, kissing the top of it. We spent the rest of the night there, just spending time with each other.

When the dance was over, everyone began heading home. The rest of the gang congratulated Kid and me on finally getting together.

I was happy as Kid held my hand all the way home. After getting changed, we all headed to bed for the night. What a great night this has turned out to be.
