13-Under The Sea
"Wow, this place is really pretty!"
I looked out at the ocean in front of me. We had finally made it to the coast where our kishin targets were said to be found.
We stood on the sand in our swimsuits with our partners in weapon form. I had on a black and white bikini (in the pic) while Kid wore black swim trunks with a skull printed on the side of each leg.
Kid looked at me. "Too bad the view is ruined by the fact that there are kishins under the surface of the water."
With my hands on my hips, I sighed. "Yeah, but once we get rid of them, this'll be a great place to relax."
I hesitantly stepped into the water. I looked back to see Kid beginning to follow. I took a few more steps as the water slowly got deeper and deeper.
I stopped when the water reached up to my hips. Kid stopped beside me.
"How are we supposed to find and fight something that lives underwater?"
I shrugged. "I have no idea, but one things for sure-ah!"
In an instant, I felt something around my ankle as I was drug under the water. The last thing I heard before losing consciousness was Kid's voice.
Kid's pov
"Luna!"
In the blink of an eye, she was gone. She disappeared under the water. My grip tightened around my twin pistols.
"Kid, we have to go after them!"
"I know, whatever happens, stay in weapon form, both of you!"
They answered in unison, "Right!"
I made my way to the deeper water and took a deep breath before diving under. The water was surprisingly deep.
Making my way past a small reef, I come to a sudden drop off. At the bottom of it, I could see what looked like some kind of undersea ruins.
I headed to the entrance and went inside, finding the entire place was free of water. I caught my breath before looking back at the entrance again.
It was like there was some kind of barrier keeping the water out. I looked down the dark corridor in front of me.
"This place is really creepy, I don't like it!"
Patty laughed at her sister's shaky voice. "No way, this place is cool!"
"Come on, you two. We need to find Luna and the twins."
I summoned Beelzebub and skated effortlessly down the corridor. Please let them be okay.
Luna's pov
Feeling something slimy across my skin, I opened my eyes slightly, coughing up some of the water I inhaled.
"Ah, she's awake."
"This one's a bit young, but cute nonetheless."
Looking around, I see three humanoid creatures in front of me. One looked like some kind of crustacean with hardened, reddish skin and pincers for hands.
One had smooth grey skin with big black eyes and a tail protruding behind him.
The last one was the grossest. He looked like a pale gelatinous blob with his lower half being a mass of tentacles. His slimy tentacles were the things holding me in place.
All of them grinned at me with pointy teeth. These must be the kishins. That's when I realized the twins weren't on my hands like usual, they were no where to be seen.
Uh oh, this is bad. A tentacle was wrapped tightly around my wrists, holding me above the ground. Another was wrapped firmly around my ankles and legs. I couldn't move.
I struggled to get lose but the tentacles stayed firmly wrapped around me. I glared at these kishin monsters.
"If you're going to kill me, just get it over with."
The shark like kishin chuckled. "Oh, don't worry. We are going to kill you, but first we're going to have a little fun with you."
My eyes widened and I felt a tentacle wrap around my stomach and slither up toward me chest. I struggled to get free as I felt another tentacle wrap around my waist.
"Stop it! Get your slimy tentacles off me you squid-faced pervert!"
I felt my bikini bottom being slipped down slightly by a tentacle while my top was also being loosened.
I did the only thing I could do. I let out a scream before a tentacle covered my mouth. I squeezed my eyes shut, hoping for this to soon be over.
Kid's pov
I suddenly heard a scream and froze for a second before racing down the corridor on my skateboard. Soon entering a large chamber, I froze in shock.
The sight before me almost made my nose bleed like Soul and Blackstar's. I stared at Luna, strung up in the air, one side of her bikini bottom slipped down past her hip while her top hung loosely around her.
She looked at me and struggled a bit, trying to speak through the tentacle over her mouth. I then noticed the three aquatic kishin monsters staring at me. The one with pincers spoke.
"Great, he's come to ruin our fun."
Fun? Now I understand why these kishins target women. But the thought of them doing that to Luna only made my anger rise.
I pointed my pistols at them, but the one holding Luna in his tentacles brought her closer to him.
A wide, toothy grin spread across his face. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. Wouldn't want anything to happen to this pretty little thing."
I growled, keeping my guns aimed at them. Luna's muffled cries rang out as a tentacle slid across her breasts. I couldn't stand seeing them do this to her.
Luna's pov
That's it, I've had enough of this. I opened my mouth and bit down as hard as I could on the tentacle over my mouth. The kishin roared in pain and reeled back, uncovering my mouth.
"You little-"
His other tentacles released me as one wrapped around my throat. His grip slowly tightened around my neck until gunshots rang out.
The kishin screamed in pain and released me. I dropped to the ground as the three kishins retreated down a corridor.
I coughed and gasped for air and fixed my bathing suit as I heard footsteps quickly approach me. I look up to see Kid. He helped me to my feet.
"You okay, Luna?"
I rubbed my arms after catching my breath. "Yeah, I'm alright. I just feel very violated."
"Where are the twins?"
"I...I don't know. I lost consciousness after being drug down here. When I woke up, they were gone. I hope they're okay."
He placed a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll find them."
I nodded and sniffed the air. Sometimes my wolf side can be very useful. I slowly walked toward one corridor.
"I got a faint scent, I think it leads this way."
He nodded when I looked back at him. "You're right. I can sense their souls in that direction."
Kid summoned his skateboard and said, "Come on."
I looked up at him on his skateboard. "Uh, are you sure?"
He smiled and grabbed my hand, pulling me on behind him. "This is faster, just hang on to me."
I felt myself blush slightly but wrapped my arms around him anyway. We quickly sped down the corridor, soon arriving at a small chamber.
In a small cage at the far end of the room, the twins were being held captive. The three kishins were also here.
I jumped off the skateboard. "Kid, cover me!"
I rushed toward the far end of the room, dodging past the kishins in my way as Kid's gunshots were heard.
"Drake! Drew!"
They rushed toward me. "Luna!"
I stuck my hands through the bars of the cage after making my way over. "Quick, transform!"
They nodded and changed form. I slipped my now clawed hands back through the bars.
"Nice timing, Lulu."
"Good to be back."
I smiled at them as I turned around. Kid was still fighting off two of the kishins. The shark one rushed toward me with his large mouth wide open.
I caught his jaws and smirked at him as his eyes grew wide with fear. I forced him down to the ground and separated his jaws farther apart until they finally snapped.
I let go and sunk my claws into his skin, tearing away chunks of flesh. I scratched away at him until his body stopped moving. His red soul floated up and I quickly absorbed it into one of my palms.
Turning back to the others, Kid was dodging and shooting at the squid like kishin. I noticed the crab kishin turn his attention toward me.
"Time to turn up the heat."
I noticed my weapon's gems turn red as I held out my hands. Flames emerged all around the crab as I noticed Kid killed the squid kishin.
He turned his attention toward us as the fire grew closer around the kishin. He screamed in agony as the fire burned away at his flesh.
After a bit, the kishin's burnt body fell to the ground, lifeless. I let the flames disperse before retrieving the soul that emerged from the burnt corpse.
Kid told me, "You can have the souls. There was an uneven amount so I can't take them. Besides, you killed two of them."
I chuckled lightly. Typical Kid. I took the other two souls, absorbing them into my palms. I smiled at Kid who returned my smile.
Suddenly, the whole place began to shake. I looked around frantically.
"What's happening?"
Kid looked around. "This whole place is submerged underwater, so maybe now that the kishins are gone..."
He didn't get to finish his sentence as we both noticed water rushing toward us from down the corridor.
"Drake! Drew!"
They replied in unison, "On it!"
I held my hands out, and just as the water was about to crash into us, a magic bubble appeared around us. I looked around as the water passed over us.
"I didn't know you could that."
I looked at Kid. "Neither did I."
I then realized how close we were. The bubble was small so we stood almost right against each other, our chests almost touching.
I turned away from Kid and focused on moving the bubble. Finally exiting the ruins, the bubble seemed to float toward the surface before popping and allowing us to return to the shore.
Kid and I both allowed our weapons to finally change back to human form. Kid used his reaper powers to summon a mirror and call Lord Death.
Kid reported on our success before we got to change clothes and head back to Death City. I'm really glad Kid was there with me, if it wasn't for him, I'd have probably been killed.
It was late as we rode on a train back toward home. The twins, Liz, and Patty had all fallen asleep.
I glanced over at Kid, who sat beside me. I quietly said, "I never did get a chance to thank you for saving me."
He looked at me before smiling. "It was no problem. I wasn't about to let them hurt you."
I shuddered slightly. "I know. I just fear what they would've done to me if you hadn't shown up."
Kid's pov
Seeing her afraid like that only made me want to protect her more. Before I realized what I was doing, I hugged her.
She eagerly returned my hug before I pulled away from her. "We should get some sleep. We've had a long day."
She nodded and laid back against the seat. "Night, Kid."
Her eyes fluttered shut as I smiled. "Goodnight, Luna."
My thoughts returned to the way those kishins treated Luna. I'm glad I got to kill the squid kishin. After the way he was touching Luna, I had to make him pay.
Closing my eyes, I thought about these feelings I have. Even on missions, I enjoy my time with Luna. Now, all I want is to be able to protect her and make her happy.
