Chapter 13: The Book of Romance
Warnings: Fluff/Lime (Idk the difference, but basically there's kissing. If you are uncomfortable with two boys kissing, skip the chapter). No smut ;) (Also, in the comments, can you write how you feel about KOTLC smut? I mean, I was thinking about it, and HP has plenty of smut fanfics and they're the same age as KOTLC is, so, opinion on smut?)
Oh, and for the one who wanted FeDex, since I felt like it, I added a chunk for ya :)
And sorry for late update! I suffer from severe writers block lmao

Tam POV
I did not end up sleeping over, for your information. I ended up going home afterwards, because I have some control over myself.
Though, Keefe did come home with me.
I'm not going into depth, pervs, I'm just going to say we hung out and kissed a lil bit and looked through the "Big Book of Matchmaking Rules", trying to figure out if our being together could get us in Exile.
. . . . .
"Tammm, this is a waste of timeeeee." Keefe whined as he flipped through books depicting Elvin love and marriage. "Can't we just be rebels of some sort?"
I sat on the floor of my bedroom, my back against my bed frame, while Keefe lay on my bed with his back facing the ceiling.
"No, because if this is the reason we end up in Exile, I will be so mad at you." I said, brushing my bangs out of my face.
"#Couple goals." Keefe said ruffling my hair, "They wish they could be as cool as us."
"Uh huh, whatever." I flipped through a couple more pages, "This doesn't state anything about same sex elvin relationships!"
"Maybe that's the world telling you, 'Hey Tam, you should let Keefe kiss you!'" Keefe shrugged, "Just an idea."
"You are so weird, Keefe." My face turned red and I hid my nose in the book. "I need to learn the basics of elvin dating and romance, anyways."
The bedsprings creaked, and I felt his warm breath next to my ear, tickling my neck hairs and making my face even brighter, "I could teach you that."
The growing, hot feeling in my stomach that made me want to either punch him in the face or kiss him was getting hard to ignore. I, subtly, lifted my chin upwards to meet his face, and, God, is he beautiful. He's basically like the sun. If I stare too long, I'll waste my chance but if I act now.
"Fuck, you're cute." He said, leaning down and kissing me gently on the lips. The book slid out of my hands as troubles slipped out of mind. I reached my hands up to cup his face, which was hard because kissing upside-down is a real struggle. He tasted like lemons and candies and it was like sugar making my heart pound harder and my body ache for more. Keefe broke apart after a long kiss, and he smirked at me. "Done. You've been taught."
"You didn't teach me anything." I rolled my eyes, picking my book back up, "I bet you haven't even read this book."
"Please, I read that in the 3rd grade." He said, all sassy like, "And I can tell it's not going to even mention homosexuality or interracial relationships once." Then, he swung his legs off the edge of the bed and plopped down on the floor beside me, and added, "If the Match Maker's declared us soulmates, then we're soulmates!"
"Yeah, but same-sex love should result in a bad match." I crossed my arms, frustrated with the undereducation of students in school with Matchmaking.
"Maybe we're just too good." Keefe shrugged. Then, he cupped my face, "Tam, why do you care? The system said we're meant to be. Why do we have to spend the whole night questioning existence when we could be making out?"
I slammed my palm into my face, "Keefe, I would trust the system if you stopped mentioning us kissing."
"What, wanna go farther than that?" Keefe said, acting dead serious and dead romantic, moving his hand to touch mine, daring me to fill in the small space between our faces.
I couldn't help it this time and I moved my hand from his to grab his face and crushed my lips against his, letting "soft kissing" go to a momentary Hell. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him and leaving no separation. Keefe made it obvious he didn't want to play coy, and bit my lip softly to get his tongue through my lips that gated my mouth. We fought for dominance, which didn't last for long because he pinned me down to the carpeted floor and started kissing my neck passionately, which caused me to have to cover light moans with whines. He stopped momentarily, tracing a finger around the hickey he had left me earlier.
"Ah, I could've done so much better."
"You had seven minutes," I say sympathetically in between heavy breaths. "You did your best."
"I guess." He trailed off for a moment, admiring my neck, "But if you think this is my best, then you should see what I can do in twenty."
I boldly flirted back, "Show me."
He began kissing me again when we heard a knock on the door. Shit. We jumped off of each other and the voice said from the other side of the door, "Tam? Can I come in?"
It was Linh. "Oh, I'm getting dressed. Give me one second." I whispered to Keefe, "Go underneath the bed! Quick!" he, looking disgusted with the idea, slid under my bed, and gave me a look that said, 'you will pay for this'. "Come in!"
Linh opened the door, peeking her head through, "Are you and Keefe still making out?"
"What are you even talking about?" I nervously laughed, and then asked, "What do you want?"
"Well I heard noises that sounded kinda-" I gave her a death glare for the ages and she changed her course, "your phone, Tam. It's been ringing like crazy."
"Do you have it?" I asked, one hand on my hip.
Linh looked around in my room, "Can a sister not just come into her brother's room to chat?"
"You just want me to tell you about my personal life, don't you?" I sighed, giving her a "tut tut tut" face. "I'll need my phone for that."
"Fiiiiiiiine." Linh tossed me my phone, then asked brightly, "Can I come in?"
"No." I slammed the door and checked my phone. The calls were all spam. "This is stupid."
"Very much. Can't the Council do something about spam calls already?" Keefe asked from underneath my bed. He reached a hand out.
"If they can't get peaceful species to sign a treaty so they don't kill each other, they probably can't do anything with our spam calls." I grabbed his hand and helped him slither out from underneath my bed. "Dex could, maybe."
"Yeah, most likely." Keefe lay his back against the bed, "I wonder where Dex is right now."
"Me too." I sat besides him, laying my head on his shoulder. "Maybe, to reward the readers for the votes we've been getting, we should give them a fedex bonus?"
"Sure thing." Keefe mumbled into my hair, not exactly listening to what I was saying until he sat up straight, confused, "Wait, who is the-"
-BONUS-
Sorry Keefe, the readers have had enough of you for a chapter. Time for some Fedex...hehehe
Warnings: Fluff?
Dex POV
I sat in the dark, on the guestroom's bed, waiting for him to return. He had been, well, "hanging", out with me in here until Sophie had knocked on the door, asking for him.
Before you say anything, yes.
Yes, I know Fitz and Sophie are dating.
Yes, I know he's a guy.
Yes, I know my chances with him are slim.
But, also, I know what happened when he asked for "help" on the Ogre History assignment.
We ended up shirtless.
So maybe, I don't know, we can end up with each other?
I heard the door creak open, and a morsel of light peered into the room.
"Dex?" Fitz whispered, his voice low and husky.
"Hi." I say.
Fitz's turquoise eyes glow in the dark like glow sticks. He closes the door. He crawls into the bed, and reaches for my hand, pulling me out of bed.
"What do you want, Fitz?" I ask, climbing out of bed and into my scruffs.
"I danced with Sophie tonight." Fitz stated.
"I saw." I said, a little bitter with that memory.
"I regret it." Fitz bit his lip, "I was absorbed in my pride and thought that everyone would judge if I was dancing with you and not the Moonlark. But, seeing Keefe and Tam show everyone that normal is based on a warped perspective of one person, I decided that I should stop stalling and figure out my life."
"I don't know where this is going." I admitted, worried that this might mean he was cutting me out of his life.
"One moment, please." He picked up a human iPod and a song played softly out of a speaker I couldn't see. The song that played for the slow dance.
"Oh my god, what are you..."
"May I dance with you?" Fitz asked. I could barely see him, only the light of the moon from the window and neon nightlights hidden around the bedroom.
I could feel my face burn pink, "Uh-uhm yes."
"Right answer." He jokes, and wraps his arms around my waist, while I curl mine around his neck, pressing our foreheads against each other. We slowly waltzed to the song, breathing quietly and trying to dance silently. Our bodies held together like we were superglued. And it felt so strong, being in his arms.
I lifted my head slowly to see him in full view, and he was drop dead gorgeous. Like gravity, we both met each other and kissed. Like secrets we'd held since we could hold someone, like closets that we were born in, like criminals who had tattooed bars that kept them in jail, I kept comparing it to something unreal, but it wasn't like anything else. It was like love. That's what it was like.
-End of Bonus-
(Tam and Keefe have been making out while we were at Havenfield).
Tam POV
We kept kissing, ignoring that the readers had come back.
Keefe kissed me like he wanted to imprint his name on my lips, and I honestly wouldn't care if I wore his name on my lips. It'd be better than any lipstick Biana owned. He held me tightly and his body language read, 'just let me kiss you harder', which I was intended to do. I moaned out his name as he unbuttoned my shirt like its existence insulted ours. I tried to get myself under control, tried to stop feeling the way I was feeling, but it was incredibly difficult when the boy of your dreams is kissing you like there's no tomorrow.
Then, my phone started vibrating. The ringtone was unrecognizable.
"Fuck." I groaned, "I still want to kiss."
"Let me check who it is." Keefe said, picking up my phone, "Huh. It's the match makers."
"What?" I took the phone and clicked accept, "What's going on?"
Seebo, me and Keefe's match maker, answered worriedly, "Come here first thing tomorrow morning."
"Why?" I asked, scared of the answer.
Seebo sighed, sounding as scared as I was,
"I think there's been a glitch."
