Moonlight

Ladybug pulled out a massive folder and placed it between the two of them. Inside had everything from flight costs, to villas, to hotels, to full wedding packages. Tonight they were going to choose the venue. This time tomorrow they would, hopefully, have their wedding booked.

"So you ok with this?" Ladybug questioned Chat Noir.

Both were settled on a picnic blanket on top of their favourite rooftop, a bottle of wine opened, pastries set out and lit by candle light and the moon.

"I think it's a great idea," Chat answered.

"It's very expensive." She bit her lip in worry. It was perfect and now she had her heart set on it, she wasn't sure she'd be able to go back.

"Bugaboo, I told you, I will pay for whatever you want."

"But this is really expensive, like 'my earnings for a whole year' expensive, and I've got a damn good job."

Chat began to laugh.

"Well at least once we're married I know you can be my sugar mama."

She slapped him playfully on the arm as he wiggled his eyebrows and reached for his wine glass.

"M'lady, if this is what you want then this is what you get."

She squealed and jumped onto him, giving him a hug. She began to kiss his face all over, ending with one big smack on his lips. She had looked over and over again for the perfect wedding venue. She finally decided on the Maldives, and found six resorts which were amazing. Unfortunately after contacting them all, only one had an available slot for the date they were considering. Ladybug handed over the details to Chat.

He looked down the name of the resort, and found she'd picked the same one. Well, actually he'd found six but five of those had no availability when he'd called them earlier that day. The venue he was currently holding in his hand said they'd hold the booking for twenty four hours, after all it wasn't everyday a supermodel - whose father was a world famous designer - called asking to book his secret wedding.

Ladybug still had no idea what she was about to marry into and, to make it worse, she didn't know she was marrying into the family of their first nemesis. After they'd finally defeated the first Hawkmoth/Shadowmoth, whatever you want to call him, Ladybug had managed to strip his memories of anything Miraculous. Gabriel was a changed man, and thanks to Su-Han Nathalie had made a full recovery too. However it didn't come without casualties.

Adrien had lost his mother to the misuse of the Miraculous, and as much as finally having answers helped him heal it was still like a dirty wound; it healed eventually, but it wasn't as straightforward as a clean cut. Ladybug had visited a few times at the beginning, helping him come to terms with everything, followed by constant help and support of his friends, particularly Marinette.

He let out a sigh, pulling Ladybug out of her own thoughts, the wedding folder open on the guest list.

"What's wrong kitty cat?" She asked.

Chat looked up at the sky, zoning in on the moon. It reminded him of the nights he'd spent on Marinette's balcony as both Adrien and Chat Noir, laughing and joking about anything and everything. The couple of hours he was there he always was taken out of reality, his messed up reality.

"I'm just thinking about a friend. She means so much to me and I won't be able to invite her to the wedding."

Ladybug moved closer to him and wrapped her arms around his waist, placing a gentle kiss on her cheek.

"I know how you feel. I have a friend too that won't be there and he means the world to me. Maybe we could have a second wedding when we're back? Or some sort of party? Allow all our friends and family who won't be there to attend and celebrate with us. It can be an introduction of my friends to yours."

Chat nodded. He liked that idea, he liked it a lot.

"Do you think Chloe would allow us to use the hotel?" said Chat.

Ladybug burst out laughing.

"Like hell would she let us use it. We'd have more of a chance of defeating Papillon than getting Chloe to allow us to use the hotel ballroom." She laughed again, and he joined in. Even though Ladybug was sure they couldn't use it, Chat was certain they could. After all, he was back to being known as 'Adrikins' that must mean something.

"I'll deal with it." Chat announced, "you just worry about looking pretty."

"I have to worry about looking pretty?" Her face morphed into one of displeasure and Chat couldn't help trip himself up trying to correct his mistake.

"No I didn't mean, it's just ... you know ... it's a saying?" Ladybug stared at him for another couple of heartbeats before bursting out laughing.

"Dig yourself a hole, why don't you Chaton," they both continued laughing as they snuggled closer together.

"Right, pass your folder here, you pest."

"I'm not a pest, I'm a bug."

"Keep this up and I'm calling pest control." Ladybug started laughing again.

"That was awful," she kissed him on the cheek again, "but I love you anyway."

They gazed into each other's eyes as they moved closer, finally meeting in an intense lip lock featuring every area of their mouths. She was quite certain he'd just found out where her tonsils were.

"Anyway," he croaked out, "the folder."

Ladybug nodded, still slightly breathless, and moved the folded over. It contained everything; guest lists, patrol rotas for those who were staying, nail appointments, hair appointments plus pictures of hairstyles, a top secret poly pocket, ideas for cakes, flowers, rings, anything and everything wedding related.

To say he was impressed was an understatement, she'd thought of everything, right down to a seating plan for the reception. Obviously, with her knowing all the holders it made it easier to plan.

"So the tabloids were right? Viperion and Vespira?" His mind ticked over to who Vespira was, and unless he was mistaken, or Luka was a cheat, Zoe was the new bee Miraculous holder.

"Very much so. I believe he will be proposing any day now."

"Really?"

"Really. They're almost as sickly sweet as we are."

Chat scoffed.

"No chance. We're the king and queen." They smiled at each other knowing it was true. No other pairing would patrol with them anymore, too much PDA, but they couldn't help it. "So they'll be having a reveal at our wedding too?"

Ladybug moved uncomfortably on her bottom.

"Actually, they have already been revealed."

Chat's mouth hung open. Why did the rules only apply to them? It sucked.

"Right."

"Don't be like that minou, you only have a couple of months and we'll be together as ourselves."

As much as he would have liked this to placate him it didn't. He hated being out of the loop and she knew that. It was the only reason why he was allowed to reveal it to Nino.

"So is Carapace your best man?" Chat nodded.

"Rena your maid of honour?" Ladybug nodded too.

"Should we have anyone else? You know. Bridesmaids and groomsmen?" He asked, hoping the answer was no. He wanted as few people as possible at the altar. It was going to be their moment, and having Carapace and Rena there was more than enough.

"I don't really want anyone else."

"My thoughts exactly." He replied.

"Oh, and I've got an idea, if you could speak to the venue about it." Ladybug turned to a page in her folder detailing the front of the altar.

"Marvel me with your brains, M'Lady."

"I want a net curtain put up around us and one of our friends to be ordained."

"Interesting, continue." She'd got his curiosity.

"If one of the other holders are marrying us we don't need to worry about an outsider intruding or making things awkward, plus we need to think about our identities."

"That's a smart move, Lovebug. Who were you thinking?"

"Honestly, I was thinking Bunnyx. She knows everything that's going to happen anyway. Plus she knows who we are."

"You're right," Chat said, "she's probably already got her speech prepared and the certificate for marrying us."

"She has, I saw her this morning." Alix had come into the bakery as happy as anything, knowing what Marinette was going to ask her. She'd flashed the email in front of Marinette which showed that yes she could marry them. Marinette had then passed all the legalities onto her. She knew both their names and had enough contacts to get the wedding certificate sorted without many questions.

"And the net?"

"Basically, the other guests will see the lights but not have a clear view of our faces until we want them to see."

Chat looked at her puzzled.

"I thought it was veil off and boom."

"Akuma?" Ladybug said with a laugh.

"Whatever, smart arse!"

"I've changed my mind. The original idea was stupid. I want us to end how we started, as Ladybug and Chat Noir."

"Ok, so detransform, I propose again, then if you -"

"When I say yes," she interrupted, causing the cat-like hero to dazzle her with his lopsided smirk.

"When you say yes we move the curtain."

"Exactly."

"I like it." Chat agreed. "Have you thought about your parents?"

"Yes, and I'm going to tell them. I want them to be part of the reveal. How about you?"

He knew the question would come and he was still debating the answer. Even though his father hadn't got a clue about what had happened, Adrien had to live with it everyday. He was a forgiving man, but would it be right to have him celebrating with many people he repeatedly hurt. The heroes all knew about the battle against Gabriel Agreste, and he wouldn't want them to think differently of him when he was revealed as Adrien Agreste.

"Undecided."

He knew she wouldn't mind, after all she'd been there for Adrien in the aftermath, supporting him through the changes to his father and explaining about his mother. It was the reaction of everyone else that worried him.

"Anything else we need to sort out?" Chat Noir asked.

"Just the rings, and yours and Carapaces suits. I was thinking we could have a pink theme? Would you be ok with that?"

"You want me to wear a pink suit? I'm sorry, bug, but that's a red flag."

She pushed into his shoulder again, he was such a pain in her backside.

"You know what I mean. Pink tie and pocket square."

He smiled at her before placing a chase kiss to the tip of her nose.

"Do you want to get married in the chapel at the venue or on the beach?" He asked.

"Chapel. My dress won't be fit for the beach," she said.

"Ooooo, you've already chosen your dress?"

"Something like that." She responded.

"First dance?"

"No idea," she admitted.

"I suppose we better start practicing then. We don't want to mess it up." He held out his hand to her with a grin brighter than the moon.

Placing her hand in his, she allowed him to pull her to standing before wrapping her arms around his neck, as his were securely around her waist.

Under the moon, Ladybug and Chat Noir fell into step with each other. Swaying gently under the moonlight, embraced in each other's arms and adoring the feel of something so intimate.

It was also under the same moonlight that a reporter took the first picture of Paris' heroes sharing a romantic kiss, and uploaded it to the internet.
