Chapter Eight
During my state of slumber I had heard many voices all of which were fuzzy and hard to hear, whenever I tried to wake up a voice would always tell me to be patient which I obeyed. Eventually though I was ripped from the darkness that had trapped me and pulled back into a pain filled body, blinking my eyes a few times I looked around to notice we were no longer in the cave but rather in a new cave filled with glowing crystals of all different colours. The others must have brought me here in hopes of me healing faster, looking at my chest I noticed it was different but healed. Standing up I stretched my sore and stiff limbs after probably days without use, the sound of footsteps approaching down a tunnel made me tense up. Upon seeing the familiar faces of my friends I relaxed, when they noticed me awake they flooded around me with relieved eyes.
"Oh Marionette we thought you wouldn't wake up! You have been in that state for two weeks!" Freddy exclaimed happily, the fact I had been in that broken slumber for two weeks told me something was definitely wrong with me. Looking around at them all I felt something was different, I could sense their fear and it almost seemed to both hurt and relieve me. Shaking me head from my thoughts I gave them a weak smile, attempting to take a step forward caused me to stumble but they seemed to catch me faster than I could think.
"Easy Puppet, Nightmare did a lot of damage to you, the fact it didn't kill you is a surprise," Golden started from a small distance away, he had probably told them what happened and they more than likely didn't trust him fully.
"I'm fine....... I just need some rest......" I rasped, my throat burned and I felt like I was choking on seemingly nothing. Letting out a cough I winced as my whole body shivered in pain, noticing a somewhat beautiful little pond at the edge of the cavern we stood in I began to limp towards it curious about how such water came to be down here. Upon reaching it I knelt down to touch it, the moment my needle thin fingers connected with the waters surface it sent a ripple of relief through my tired limbs. Standing back up and glancing back at my confused friends I began to limp into the water, the deeper I got the more relieved my body felt. After the pain seemed to go away I left the water, my wounds were still there but they looked cleaner and far better than before. Golden Freddy and Shadow Freddy seemed the most curious out of the bunch, looking back at the cool water I let out a sigh before returning to the gang. Heading over to a wall I sat down to get my strength back, just because my wounds didn't hurt as much didn't mean I had my full magic back with them. Resting my head against the cave wall I allowed myself to relax, I knew Golden and Shadow had this under control should things go south.
"Puppet....." a soft voice sounded to my right, opening my eyes I looked at a rather scared looking Chica.
"What is it my dear?" I sat up properly now to look at her, her blue eyes were filled with a fear I hadn't seen in such a long time.
"If Nightmare wins....... what will happen to us?" She whispered almost too softly to hear, pulling her into a soft hug as to not cause myself pain I let out a sigh.
"If Nightmare wins I want every one of you to run and hide, not ifs or buts, if you see him hide, always hide until I can be with you again and I vow that no matter what he won't ever harm you until my dying breath," I promised, this seemed to ease her mind as she got up to let me rest. Returning to my position I felt a slight tug in my soul, standing up I looked around as my soul began to almost rip itself from my body. The simple movement of a shadow and I shot a blast of white fire towards it causing whatever hid there to screech in pain, now on high alert I felt myself panicking. The moment I let myself think for too long I felt a large clawed hand around my neck and my feet left the ground, gripping onto the hand of my attacker I tried to break free.
"Well well well, what do we have here, a startled puppet and her pets, oh and what is this, a traitorous friend, such a shame you had to betray me Golden Freddy, I could have placed you as second in command should something unfortunate befall of Springtrap, either way this bothers me not, my true reason for coming here as you all might be aware is to take this pathetic excuse for a soul," Nightmare explained his voice dark and warning filled, the moment anyone took a step closed his grip on my neck tightened causing me to struggle more to breathe.
"Let her go Nightmare, she is of no use to you in her current state!" Golden Freddy growled, this earned a chuckle from Nightmare.
"Of course she isn't! If I get her now however, when she heals she will be perfect for my uses," Nightmare rumbled with laughter, this caused the others to lunge but before they could reach me we were gone. Being thrown across a room and hitting a wall caused me to break from my startled mind, looking around I noticed we were back in an old factory but this one was different. Endoskeletons lined the walls with strange suits I had never seen before, tubes were attached to them and I realised why Nightmare needed me to physically be there.
