I could feel his cold stare on my back, I watched as endoskeletons were put inside the suits which came to life instantly.
"You drained them all just for power and your army?" I almost lost it but I made a promise to him, he gave a chuckle.
"It's a lot to take in I know but you will get used to it especially when you start draining energy to keep you going," Nightmare explained and walked off beckoning for me to follow, I began to float after him walking was tiring. After the "grand tour" he led me to a dark room, he seemed to blend with the shadows other then his red eyes.
"What is this room?" I muttered trying to see past the blackness, the light behind me vanished and I realised nightmare lured me into a trap. I felt myself being dragged then strapped into some sort of machine, Nightmare turned the lights on a large smirk on his face.
"I am surprised you thought I was a truly kind Nightmare I swear your pathetic with thinking but a deal is a deal I won't go near or even touch them but the rest of the world will suffer my wrath for destroying our homes!" Nightmare snapped, I winced and screeched as the machine began to drain me of my power. Nightmare shook his head as he walked around me, his eyes glinting in amusement.
"I-I should have k-know," I managed to muttered trying not to screech in agony, he gave a chuckle.
"Yes you should have and since your power is linked to mine your a forever source of power and it won't drain me a bit," Nightmare couldn't help himself but laugh, he then grabbed my chin.
"Now look here nightmarione I ain't a nice nightmare hence my name I only gave you that energy so you lived and now you are strong enough to not need me I will drain you until the end of my existence and you can't do anything because thanks to your last attack I learned every last one of your tricks so I have prepared every defence to those in this very room, have fun being drained," Nightmare laughed walking out of the room leaving me in the dark, I felt my nightmare form screaming at me to be let out so I could escape. I agreed with it and my eyes went blood red only I was in control, I finally got free when something hit me from behind. Nightmare really did have the room prepared, I attempted to use my powers to break out but I was hit again with what I believed to be some sort of power container.
"You really are a fool I meant everything I said your powers won't work and any efforts to escape are useless!" Nightmare roared his voice meaning every word, my nightmare form was begging me to go full nightmare and allow it to control. I hesitated but if it meant my escape from the room then I would risk it, I collapsed the power was almost too much for me to handle. Allowing my nightmare form to control it made me act like I gave up, Nightmare walked in with a disappointed look on his face.
"Wow in full nightmare form when your at your peak in power you give in so easily, pathetic!" He hissed in my ear, he went to grab me but I flew out of the room my nightmare form enjoying having control again. I used my powers to pull him towards me, he struggled to try and get free from this new trick.
"You were saying Nightmare!" I screeched, he continued to struggle but I knew he was holding back in hopes I were a fool. Instead of loosening my grip I slammed him into a wall and held him there, I floated closer to him to whisper in his ear.
"You forgot my one trick Nightmare, at my finest form I never give up!" I hissed in his ear, his eyes were filled with fear but curiosity at what I would do to him.
"AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!" Nightmare began to laugh, I didn't let my guard down but the feeling of a needle stabbing into my back I looked up to find the endoskeletons were no longer endoskeletons they were Nightmares. With a final effort I attempted to flee my nightmare form was running out of energy, I got to the door and had to hang onto the frame to stop myself from falling over.
"You can't run nightmarione I am always right behind you," he chuckled, he grabbed hold of my shoulder and threw me down. He held me down, I tried to escape. I needed to warn them and quick otherwise he would drain them, I managed to drag myself out of there. Nightmare seemed to enjoy my struggles, as soon as I got a few centimetres I teleported away. I collapsed as I reached the lodge, I tried to call out to warn them but my nightmare form was spent and I transformed back into my permanent form. James came out and gave a shriek at the sight of me, the others rushed out to see me. Shadow Freddy looked horrified, I lifted my head with what strength I had left the needle was doing its job too well. I went to speak but realised what scared them, Nightmare stood right behind me laughing.
"She really did come running back!" Nightmare laughed, my warning was too late as Nightmare ordered his nightmare toys to capture them all and I watched in sorrow as he killed James before my very eyes. Nightmare grabbed me and took us back to the room, Nightmare didn't put me in as draining me while like this would kill me. He left and I dragged myself to the console, I heaved myself up and an angry voice sounded behind me.
"Your helping us when you can easily betray us like you recently did!" Came the sharp and unforgiving tone of Freddy, I heard a few murmurs of agreement.
"Guys you would do it if you were her so shut up!" Golden Freddy snapped, I gave him a look of thanks and he nodded. I hit a button and everyone dropped, I collapsed having no strength I managed to speak.
"I-I am sorry...........I-I thought that...........I-if I stayed I would make things worse," I choked with my last ounces of strength, Freddy was furious with me and it took Golden Freddy and shadow Freddy to stop him from killing me.
"IF WE KILL HER NOW NIGHTMARE BECOMES PATHETIC AND WE CAN BE FREE!" Freddy snapped trying to get to me, the others were horrified.
"I'm sorry I got you all into this.......... I was trying to protect you," I wheezed, Freddy had had enough.
"YOU WERE TRYING TO PROTECT YOURSELF YOU AND YOUR NIGHTMARIONE FORM YOU HAVE BROUGHT NOTHING BUT SUFFERING AND NOW JAMES IS DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU!" Freddy screeched, I winced pulling myself to up.
"FREDDY SHE HAS DONE NOTHING BUT SACRIFICE FOR US!" Shadow Freddy snapped back, both pushed Freddy back.
"Fine side with her but I'm done I am going out on my own and anyone who stays with her fine but no way and I staying around to die!" Freddy stormed off, chica, bonnie and foxy followed him. Golden Freddy and shadow Freddy looked after them in disappointment, I sighed knowing Freddy was right. Foxy began to hesitate and came back, his eyes apologetic.
"S-sorry but Ye be me friends and I can't be leavin ye because of some shipwreck reason," Foxy explained, we nodded and welcomed him back. From now on Freddy, bonnie and chica were to defend themselves unless we came across them. Shadow Freddy helped me out and we managed to escape unnoticed, we saw no signs of Freddy or the others after leaving the factory.
"I hope they are ok," I wheeze, we hurried away to the lodge and put James soul into a glass tube which I carried with care we then left the lodge with sorrow in everyone's eyes. All that was left there was the slowly rotting body of James, I knew his soul wouldn't rest like the others.
