Birds began to sing in the dew filled forest, it was still too damp to leave but we could stray onto the porch and into the garden. I was the first awake as usual, I went out onto the porch feeling the need to be alone to see what damage the growth did. I headed into the forest the water not effecting me, finally I was alone in the woods and let my power come back to me revealing the growth. Fear struck me as I saw how quickly it was growing, I was sure nightmare would approve if my nightmare form broke out here and now. It was growing restless after its slumber but I kept my power mostly trained on keeping it in control, I jumped seeing shadow Freddy standing there his eyes focused on my nightmarish ribs which now showed clearly.
"He cut you with the blade, didn't he?" Shadow Freddy questioned his eyes narrowed, I looked away and he stepped forwards.
"Didn't he!" Shadow Freddy snapped, I winced and nodded. He gave a sigh and calmed down, I leaned against the tree beginning to focus my power on hiding it.
"Yes he cut me with the blade happy now?" I whispered, he walked to my side to examine the barely visible cut on my normal form.
"Why didn't you tell me, I could of been trying to figure out a way to fix it, Springtraps blade triggers the worst of a nightmare form so if your nightmare form gained control of you it wouldn't be easy to regain control it would take you days maybe years to gain control again," shadow Freddy explained, I sighed and looked at the canopy of trees.
"I know but we can't tell the others," I whispered, shadow Freddy stepped back.
"I have been studying your behaviour ever since I arrive, your power drain wasn't normal, you should have woken up instantly and in that time I noticed you cut but waited until we were alone so the others never knew, marionette you have to try and be yourself, thinking of nightmare will only trigger your nightmare form faster and I can't have you breaking out trying to kill them while we are in the middle of hiding, if you transformed you would lead nightmare to us and if your in your form then he will be in more control of you then you think," shadow Freddy ushered, I nodded and began to head back.
"I am trying shadow it's harder then you think," I whispered my voice now barely audible, we got back to the lodge to find the others out and about as the area dried. Freddy gave us a curious glance but said nothing and went back to talking to James, I floated to the top of the lodge and sat there to think about what shadow Freddy said. Nothing made sense anymore, nightmare was the cause of this and by thinking about him I grew worse. Shadow Freddy was right, if I were to transform into my nightmare form now he would sense it and head straight here. I sighed and cupped my face in my hands, I wished my forever smiling face would stop being a smile. My world as I knew it was slowly getting better but also falling apart secretly, I had to hold on as long as I could to protect them. Shadow Freddy had the ability to hide us but if I had an outbreak it would only just hide me, nightmare would either way find us no matter how hard we tried. Shadow Freddy kept his eye on my while I sat on the roof, he knew what I was thinking but said nothing. I went back into the lodge and into the basement as a wave of pain hit, shadow Freddy got James and they locked the basement door and tried to keep me from passing out like I did before. I could tell shadow Freddy told James everything by the urgency in his tone, I cupped my head in my needle finger hands trying to stop the pain. Instead by using extra power I made it worse, I couldn't hide my nightmare trying to break free. Shadow Freddy noticed this and used some of his power to try and ease my pain, I looked at him but couldn't say a word.
"Use all you strength to fight it Marionette otherwise it will break free," shadow Freddy urged, he chained me to the walls tightly incase I couldn't fight it. Since I was now focusing on stopping my nightmare form my physical form changed to what the growth had done, I had to stop myself from screeching.
"You weren't kidding," James muttered, shadow Freddy glanced at him and continued to add the chains.
"James back up," shadow Freddy almost yelled, James leapt back as I lashed out. I screeched in pain my nightmare side trying to take over, shadow Freddy was saying something I couldn't hear over my own pained screams. Nightmare had triggered my nightmare side to try and break free, I hardly had any strength left. Shadow Freddy slowly left his eyes sad, James followed too glancing at me before locking the door behind him as my nightmare form took over. I couldn't control my urge to kill anything rage filling my body, i could hear nightmare laughing somewhere nearby but now he was in my head. His red eyes drove me to my feet, I was now dangerous to all that dared stray my path. And he was there, right in front of me red eyes filled with the joy of power and death.
