Kgv pov

I woke up a little late and had breakfast as usual, Codm was waiting outside the cafetiria, leaning against a wall.

Codm: So, done eating?

Kgv: Mhm, so why are you waiting here?

Codm: Follow me, I will be teaching you something.

Kgv: Ok.

I followed him to some sort of makeshift firing range, there were wooden poles whic he placed 1 galon water jugs and empty cans, he then walks back to where i was.

Codm: Here take this.

He then hands me a handgun.

Kgv: What is this?

Codm: My standard issue pistol a Beretta M9, I am going to teach you how to use a gun.

Kgv: Why do i need to? I have my riggings.

Codm: George, you cannot use your riggings due to the major does not accept colateral damage, and it might result in civilian casualties, and to defend yourself.

Kgv: But you said that you'll look after me.

Codm: I cannot do that all the time, I am usually ordered to come along to fight against insurgent or terrorist groups, and i can't always protect you under some circumstances.

Kgv: I see... What should I shoot first?

Codm: Shoot the can on the far right.

*BANG*
*BANG*

I shot at the can on the far right twice, the can didn't fell down.

Codm: You missed, twice.

Kgv: Should I... Shoot again?

Codm: Yes, but first.

He then held both of my hands and directed it to my right eye.

Codm: Close your left eye.

I closed my left eye as he said, i only saw a gap between the gun.

Codm: Good, now you're aimed down with the iron sights of the pistol.

Kgv: Iron sights?

Codm: Every gun from handguns to rifles has already built iron sights, you aim with those.

Kgv: Interesting.

Codm: Now, fire when you feel ready.

Kgv: Ok..

I aimed at the can again.

*BANG*

I fired and i saw the can was knocked off the wooden pole.

Codm: Impressive, you hit it center mass, now the other ones.

Kgv: Right!

I aimed again at the other targets.

*BANG*
*BANG*
*BANG*
*BANG*

*CLICK*

I fired at the other targets some hit and some miss and a click noise came from the gun.

Codm: Good shooting.

Kgv: Thanks, but the gun made a click sound, what does that mean?

Codm: It means you're out of ammo in the magazine.

Kgv: Magazine?

He then grabbed his gun that i was holding and presses a button and a long rectangular box came out.

Codm: This is a magazine, if you hear a click it means the bullets are all fired.

Kgv: I see. 

Codm: Good, now that you got the hang of it that is all. But you do need a little more practice.

Kgv: Maybe some time later, I want to do something else for now.

Codm: Ok then, I'll be at my room with the others if there is something you want to talk about meet me there.

Kgv: I will. Thanks for the self defense lesson.

Codm: No problem, have a good day.
