After that day I become even closer friends with Remus. Remus and I spent most of our time studying together or helping the boys pull pranks on people, innocent pranks. I wouldn't help them bully Severus or anyone else, I saw no use in it.

"When will you tell me what happen between you two?" Alice asked as she set beside me in potions.

"When Severus is on his death bed or I'm on mine." I mumbled into my arms.

"Fine, I give up." She groaned out, throwing her arms into the air.

"Yes?" Slughorn asked looking at her.

"Um when is our potions exam again?" She asked looking up at our teacher.

I let out a laugh and she shot me a glare as Professor Slughorn talked about the next exam. Class finished up and I left to meet Remus.

"Dude, why can't you help us with our prank?" James asked angrily.

"I have a study date." Remus said calmly.

"With who? You're imagination?" Sirius asked playfully.

Remus saw me and I waved to him.

"With Cass." He said as he walked up to me.

Their mouths hung open as I followed Remus to our secret spot. When I knew they weren't following us we snuck inside and pulled out our books.

"You're stealing my sister!" James asked in shock.

"Yep. She's mine now." Remus said as I grabbed his hand and dragged him away from them.

"You know you won't hear the end of this, right?" I asked with a laugh.

"Probably not, but they will get over it." He said as he opened his book.

"Okay so McGonagall wants us to write an essay on the Avidors spell."

"I hate that spell." He said as he shook his head.

I let out a laugh and we got to work on our essays. After we finished we decided to go check out some more books.

"So what's your plans for Christmas?" Remus asked calmly.

"Mum is making me stay here, said that she has plans this week with James." I said as I let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry. James told us she picks favorites." He said with a frown.

"It's fine, Alice talked her parents into letting her stay with me, so I won't be alone. Besides it's just one year, I'm sure next year I can go back home." I said as I sent him a smile.

He nodded his head and we finished grabbing our books. When we were finished we set down and got back to work on studying for our essays.

"Can I talk to you?" A voice asked behind me.

Remus glared behind me and I let out a sigh. I knew who it was instantly by the voice.

"Please talk to him." Lily begged plopping down beside me.

"Lily I love you, but I won't talk to him. Now go away, Severus." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Please." He begged.

I looked at Remus and then turned around to look at Severus.

"Fine, speak." I said sternly.

"Alone." He said motioning to Remus.

"Whatever you want to say, you can say it in front of my friend, Remus." I said angrily.

Severus let out a sigh and shot Remus a glare before looking back at me.

"I didn't mean anything I said. I was just trying to look cool in front of Malfoy. I'm so sorry that I hurt you." Severus said sadly.

"Hurt me? You broke my heart and stepped on it over and over again. I trusted you, Severus. There is nothing you can do that could ever make me forgive you. I won't be stupid enough to trust you again."

"I'm sorry."

"Just go." I said as I turned away from him.

"Cass-"

"She said go. Now leave." Remus ordered angrily.

Severus shot him a look and then turned and left the library, Lily behind him. I had loved being Severus' friend and a part of me missed him. But I couldn't trust him, not anymore.

We finished studying and then Remus led me to my dorm.

"Thanks again, I really needed a friend." I said as I smiled up at him.

"Don't mention it, I'll always be here for you."

I nodded my head and walked inside, a smile spread across my face.

"How was your date?" Alice asked as soon as she spotted me.

"Wasn't a date."

"I heard Remus say it was a study date." She said wiggling her eyebrows.

"Between friends."

"Sure. How was it?"

"It was fine, until Severus came and tried to make me forgive him." I said as I plopped down on my bed.

"I could kill him."

"No, besides you would go to jail and I'd miss you to much."

"I know you would." She said as she sent me a wink.

I rolled my eyes and threw myself back on my bed. I looked up at the ceiling and let out a sigh.

"Do you think that Remus could have a crush on me?"

"I knew it!" She exclaimed, making me cover my face with a pillow and laugh.

Just then the door opened and Lily walked inside. With a huff she walked over to her bed ignoring me.

"Seriously Lily, would you forgive him if you heard him bad mouthing you."

"It was a mistake. He messed up. He feels horrible."

"Yea and I felt horrible when I heard him say he was using me to pass a class."

"I thought you liked him."

"I did and then he betrayed my trust. He is no better than those Slytherin bullies." I said angrily.

"Please your brother is just as bad."

I went to grab my wand but was stopped by Alice.

"You and I are done! We are no longer friends, Evans!" I yelled angrily.
