I bounced Ebony on my knee as we waited for word about Lily. She had just went into labor and we were all worried.

"Maybe she can hold it in until tomorrow-"

"Sirius, she is having the baby. There is nothing we can do." Remus said calmly.

He bit his lip and plopped down. I gently took his hand in mine and squeezed it. We had been told by Albus about a prophecy stating a child born in the seventh month would kill the dark lord.

Almost instantly I was scared to death. I had been at the hospital already due to Alice and Frank having their son, who I had yet to meet because after he was born Remus came in with a screaming Lily.

When James came out there was an bright smile on his face. He had a bundle wrapped up in a blue blanket and looked thrilled to be holding it.

"It's a boy." He said as he showed Harry to us.

"He is beautiful." I said as I stood up and cooed at the small child.

I handed Ebony over to Sirius, who shot me a look.

"My nephew, I'm holding him first." I said sternly.

He let out a laugh and took Ebony from me. I gently took Harry from his father's arms and rocked him back and forth.

"He looks so much like you." I said softly.

"Except he has Lily's eyes."

"Guess he has a chance." I said playfully.

He rolled his eyes and I set down and smiled down at my nephew.

"He's amazing." Remus said looking over my shoulder.

"I can't believe Peter didn't come. I'll have to write to him." James said as he looked around.

"Yea, Sirius... I want another baby." I said looking up at him.

"After the war, I will give you all the children you want." Sirius said kissing my forehead.

We both laughed and I handed Harry back over to his father, who would hand him over to Remus and then Sirius. Sirius instantly light up as he held Harry.

"Hi PJ, I'm your uncle Pad."

"We are not calling him Prongs Jr." I said with a laugh.

"I call Ebony, Pads."

I rolled my eyes and bounced Ebony on my leg, a smile on my face. It was a stupid nickname, but Sirius swore up and down it was her nickname, wither I liked it or not.

"Okay I am going to see Alice, she just had Neville yesterday and Ebony needs to meet her future husband."

Ebony let out a laugh and Sirius shot me a glare.

"Who says she is getting married?"

I rolled my eyes and walked away from him, barely missing him yell that his daughter wasn't allowed a boyfriend until he died.

"Hello beautiful." I said as I walked into Alice's room.

"Hey. Come meet your godson." Alice said as I set down beside her.

We switched kids and I held Neville in my arms.

"He is adorable. Oh he has your cheeks."

"And his daddies eyes." She said softly.

"I love him. Now if only I could talk Sirius into giving me a kid." I said with a laugh.

"Let me guess, the war is in the way?"

"Bingo. It's just he makes a wonder father and I know he wants another baby. It's just he is worried about one of dying and the other one having to raise our child alone." I explained.

"Me and Frank had the same talk. Thankfully I told him that no matter what the other person would have you there to help out." She said as she sent me a smile.

"Always, you're child is my child and my child is yours." I said squeezing her hand.

"We would have been an amazing couple."

"Damn right we would." I said letting out a laugh.

That would be the last time I was actually happy and able to see my brother happy. Four months later Dumbledore came to us and told us that James and Lily would have to go into hiding with Harry, leaving both me and Sirius to worry.

"It's gonna be okay." Sirius said as he squeezed my hand.

"What if it isn't? What if... Siri, what if he finds them?"

"We will protect them, I promise." He said kissing my forehead.

Sirius and I would have a shotgun wedding, wanting to get married with only those we loved and cared for. I wore a simple yellow sundress and he had on jeans and a t-shirt. Remus and James stood beside him while Alice and Lily stood beside me. Remus would actually be the one to give me away, he cried the whole time.

It was beautiful, at least to me it was. After it was over James and Lily kept Ebony for a night, and then the next morning I left to get her. Not knowing what was in store for us.
