We were waking through the hallway when Severus walked up to us.

"Hey, Severus meet Cass and Alice." Lily said happily.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you." I said with a giant grin.

"Hi." He said shaking my hand.

We started toward potions and surprisingly I was placed with Severus.

"I'm gonna apologize, I'm horrible in potions." I said as my face heat up.

"Don't worry, I can help you." He said with a small smile.

I nodded my head and we got to work on the potion.

"Forgetfulness potion." I mumbled skimming thru the book.

"We need Lethe River Water, Valerian sprigs, Standard Ingredient, and mistletoe berries." Severus said motioning for me to grab the ingredients.

I passed by the boys who waved to me.

"Sorry you couldn't be paired with us." James said as I grabbed my ingredients.

"It's okay, Severus is really nice." I said with a smile.

"Just don't trust him. All Slytherin's are evil." James said with a frown.

I rolled my eyes and walked back over to Severus where he explained how to make the potion to me.

I first was told to add 2 drops of Lethe River Water. He then told me to allow it to heat up for 20 seconds.

"Okay now add 2 Valerian sprigs to your cauldron and stir it 3 times, clockwise." He said calmly.

I nodded my head and did as he asked. I then waved my wand over it and we waited with the other students.

"So what do you want to be after Hogwarts?" Severus asked drawing my attention to him.

"Auror, what bout you?" I asked with a smile.

"DADA teacher."

"I heard that position was cursed." I said with a laugh.

"Won't be for me. I won't leave no matter what. I'll be the best teacher here. Just you watch." He said with a smile.

"Can't wait, I'd love to have you teach my kids. You're amazing at this." I said with a giant grin.

"Just know I'll be strict."

"McGonagall or Filch strict?" I asked playfully.

"Between."

"Perfect, cause we all know she lets us get away with murder." I said with a laugh.

Before I knew it an hour had passed and it was time to finish the potion.

"Okay so we need 2 measures of Standard Ingredient into that mortar with 4 mistletoe berries." Severus explained.

I placed them into the mortar and he showed me how to crush them into a medium-fine powder using the pestle. When we where finished he had me add 2 punches of it into the cauldron. After stirring it 5 times, I used my wand to finish it up.

"Perfect Mister Snape and Miss Potter. Five points to both Slytherin and Gryffindor for excellent teamwork." Slughorn said with a smile.

We high fives and then we were excused for the rest of the class period., mostly because everyone else was still trying to finish their potion.

"Bye!" I called to Lily.

"I get Severus next time!" She yelled as we left the room.

"Hell no! He's mine!" I yelled dragging him out of the room.

The library was the only place open right now so we decided to brush up on our Potions.

"So Herbicide will be the next potion we learn?"

"Should be. It's not to bad, but takes awhile and it also is dangerous to get wrong." Severus explained.

I nodded my head and we went through the steps, Severus wrote tips in my book and then I took his Transfiguration note book.

"What are you doing?" He asked as I wrote in it.

"Giving you tips. Lily, said you were having trouble. So I'm helping." I said with a giant grin.

He nodded his head and sent me a smile.

Snape wasn't bad, at least not in my eyes. He was extremely smart and at times I was shocked he wasn't a Ravenclaw.

After classes ended I was surprised to learn that Lily and Alice had to remake their potion twice because they messed up.

"It isn't funny! I blew up a caldron." Alice said hissing under her covers.

"At least you didn't do as badly as James and Sirius. They accidentally got some on them, poor Slughorn had to make another potion to get their memories back." Lily said with a laugh.

"I wish I could have seen that. What they forget?" I asked with a laugh.

"Their names."

"If I was there I would have lied to them and switched their names to Brainless and Moron." I said with a laugh.

"Remus told them their names were Pothead and Sherry." Lily said shaking her head.

"I love him, I really do." I said shaking my head.

The next morning both Sirius and James were glaring at Remus, who had a shit eating grin on his face.

"I'm not apologizing, it was hilarious." Remus said calmly.

"You told me I was married to McGonagall!" James exclaimed as I set down.

"And that I was her side peace!" Sirius exclaimed.

"Also said Snape was your husband, Sirius started to cry." Remus said with a smirk.

"You swore you wouldn't tell her!" Sirius yelled tackling him.

We all laughed as they wrestled on the ground, McGonagall passing them with a groan and a simple Detention leaving her lips.
