I set beside Remus on the couch and held back a groan as we waited for the boys to arrive.

"You have to talk to them." He said as he read his book.

"I know, but what if they freak out? And besides I'm still mad they didn't trust me." I said crossing my arms over my chest.

"Only Peter said he didn't trust you. All of us do trust you. That's why I had planned to tell you, though Peter ruined it." He said as he let out a sigh.

"How worried was everyone?"

"Sirius nearly killed Peter, James had to separate them, Peter of course sleeping down here. James nearly had a heart attack when I told him, and Peter said if you got infected he'd kill himself." Remus explained.

"I shouldn't be mad, but I'm still pissed at Peter."

Remus let out a sigh and went to say something only to be cut off by the door opening. I turned my head and saw the boys walking in looking heartbroken.

"Hi guys." I said making them all look up.

"Ca-"

In a matter of seconds I was off the couch and being hugged tightly by Sirius, who after a couple minutes pulled away and looked me over.

"You weren't bit? Scratched? Do you have all your fingers?" Sirius asked as he counted my fingers on my hand.

"No I'm fine, really I'm okay." I said as he pulled away from me.

"I was so scared when Remus told us, I thought-"

"I'm fine, promise." I said as I gently took his hands in mine and smiled up at him.

"Good good.... NOW WHY DID YOU TAKE SO FUCKING LONG TO TELL US THAT! DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS! I NEARLY KILLED PETER!" Sirius exclaimed as I stared up at him in shock.

"I.... was scared and hurt. I thought... I thought you guys didn't care about me." I explained looking at the ground.

"Of course we do. We love you." Sirius said calmly.

My eyes went wide and I looked at him shocked.

"Platonically!" James yelled from beside him, pushing him out of the way and hugging me.

The next day it was almost as if nothing bad had happened and that Remus hadn't almost killed me.

I laid my head on Sirius'' lap and listened to him talk to Remus.

"If you died what would be your last words?" Sirius asked while looking at Remus.

"Finally." He said without a beat.

"No." I said with a frown.

I grabbed a newspaper and smiled as I saw a crossword puzzle.

"Hey what's a five-letter word for disappointment?" I asked calmly.

"James." Remus said without missing a beat.

"Hey-"

"It fits." I said calmly.

Remus let out a laugh and James shook his head, before changing the subject.

"So baby sister, I heard from a little birdie that you have a crush on someone." James said calmly.

"Maybe I do. Why's it your business?"

"Just want to know who I'm going to have to murder."

"Guess you'll have to murder Remus." I said playfully.

Instantly I felt Sirius freeze up and I quickly brushed it off with a laugh.

"I'm joking. It's a guy in my grade, don't worry though he has a girlfriend." I said cutting James off.

"Better have one. And you better stay single until I die."

I rolled my eyes and felt Sirius relax. I looked up at him and saw that he had a look of fear on his face, which confused me.

"You okay?" I asked softly.

"Fine." He mumbled as he picked up a book.

He quickly started to read it and I let out a sigh and set up. I stretched and threw my legs over the couch.

"Well it's time for me to head to bed." I said as I stretched.

"I'll walk you to the stairs." Sirius said sitting the book dow and standing up.

I nodded my head and he followed me out of the room. Sirius was quiet most of the walk, leading me to believe that something was on his mind.

"Is everything okay?" I asked softly.

"What? Oh um yea." He said looking over at me.

"Siri, you can talk to me."

He let out a sigh and stopped walking, I stopped and turned to look at him only to see a frown on his face.

"How long?" He asked looking down at me.

"How long what?"

"How long have you been in love with Remus?" He asked with a frown.

"You're joking, right? I was just messing with-"

"I see how you look at him! Don't lie to me! What does he have that I don't?" He asked glaring down at me.

"Sirius-"

"Is it because he is smart? I can study harder! I can do all my work, I'll get a tutor! Is he hotter than me? Cause I can ask him for tips-"

I don't know what over came me, but instantly I grabbed a hold of his face and pulled him down for a kiss, causing him to freeze up. Almost instantly I pulled away and he looked down at me shocked.

"I like you, but because of James we can't be together, because I know he would never forgive me." I said as I stared up at him.

He continued to stare down at me and I quickly turned and walked away from him, making my way up the stairs and into my room.

As soon as I was inside I leaned against the wall and covered my mouth. Tears streamed down my face and I quickly covered my eyes.
