Christmas arrived and I was once again forced to stay at Hogwarts. Alice couldn't stay, her mother wanted her home because her grandma was coming down, once again. Which meant I would be alone for Christmas.

I threw myself on my bed and let out a groan. The sound of my owl landing made me sit up. Silky let out a hoot and dropped the letter on my desk. I stood up and picked it up, opening it to reveal a message from my dad.

Dear Cass,

I wish you'd have came home for Christmas. I'm glad you're staying with friend, but I miss seeing you. The boys were all sad to see you stay. I sent you some gifts and hope you like them.

Love dad.

I shook my head and grabbed some parchment and my quill. I dipped it into ink and started to write back.

Dear dad,

Sorry I stayed at Hogwarts but I couldn't leave Alice alone this year. I hope the boys are having a swell time. I love you and I am sure, I'll love the gifts. Tell everyone I send my love.

I waited for it to dry and then sent it out with Silky. I plopped back down on my bed and stared up at the ceiling. I felt tears stream down my face and I turned and snuggled into my pillow.

I had wanted nothing more than to be home but I also didn't want to give my mum an excuse to be mad at me again.

Christmas Day came and I slowly walked down the stairs.

"Merry Christmas, Cass." A voice said making me freeze up.

My head shot up and I saw Sirius sitting next to the tree.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in shock.

"I might have snuck and stayed here." He said softly.

Tears welled up in my eyes and I ran and hugged him tightly. He wrapped his arms around my waist and gently hugged me back.

"Thank you." I mumbled into his neck.

"I'd never let you be alone on Christmas Day." He said softly.

We set down on the couch and opened our gifts, a giant smile on my face as I leaned against Sirius.

"So how did you know I was going to be alone?" I asked looking up at him.

"I saw Alice climb onto the train before I got on. I then told James that I left something, aka you and I let the train leave without me. James was a little pissed that I was going to be alone with you." He said as he sent me a wink.

"We should fuck with him, and send him a letter saying that we are dating." I said as I let out a laugh.

"Yes."

I jumped up and ran and grabbed my parchment paper. I ran back downstairs and set in his lap.

"Dear brother, I regret to inform you that me and Sirius are now dating." I said aloud.

"I have fallen in love with his amazing personality." Sirius said playfully.

"And his beautiful eyes. We are planning to snug the whole Christmas break." I said with a laugh.

Sirius shook his head and wrapped his arms around me.

"Should also say that we are eating Remus' secret stash of food." Sirius said playfully.

I wrote it in and then handed it to Silky, who hooted at me and then flew out the window.

"Remus is going to die." I said softly.

"James might cry."

We both laughed and I leaned back against him.

"I really am glad you stayed. I was actually scared I would spend Christmas alone." I said sadly.

"I'd never let that happen. You're my future wife." He said softly.

Christmas break was soon over and like I expected the boys where fuming.

"Sirius! How could you eat my stash!" Remus exclaimed as soon as he spotted us sitting down.

Alice ran past him and tackled me.

"How could you not tell me first!" She exclaimed.

"Alice, it was a joke we aren't dating." I said as I let out a laugh.

"Oh thank Merlin, I thought I'd have to kill Sirius." James said as he held his chest.

"What about my stash! Is it safe!" Remus exclaimed.

"Yes! Stop strangling me!" Sirius choked out.

We both let out a laugh as Remus covered his face.

"Merlin, I can't deal with you two. I could handle you dating-"

"I couldn't!"

"It's going to happen James! Eventually these two will sleep together! And no one can stop it! Dumbledore and McGonagall have a running bet about it! My bet says it's gonna be next year if not the year after!" Remus yelled as James covered his ears.

"La la la! I can't hear you!" James yelled as he ran out of the room screaming.

"That or I'll be dating her!" Remus yelled with a laugh.
