Many debates have circulated over whether you are born with the sexuality you have or whether you are influenced by environmental factors or a mixture of the two.

However, the reality is, nobody truly knows the answer. While science is still in the works of uncovering the answers to this question, all research and evidence revolving around a gay gene has yet been 100% confirmed.

What we do know is that sexuality is out of our control. It's just apart of our identities. It's just who we are and we don't get to make a choice over whether we're gay or straight.

Based off the knowledge that I possess regarding this subject, I'd like to personally believe that sexuality is a blend of both genetics and environmental factors due to its fluctuation and flexibility.

For example, a person who thinks they're bi might one day realize that, nope, they're actually gay.

Or someone who had thought to be completely straight might end up discovering that they're heteromantic asexual.

Regardless if you agree or not, there will always be one thing that stands true: sexuality is valid.

Always will be.
