A Made Werewolf: The Vampire
The third eldest vampire, the vampire of illusions, sat at the table with his nine other siblings. He sat there dozed off, thinking of ways to make his life a little more exciting. He was unknowingly staring at the painting of his parents, the ones who gave him this life. He and his siblings were given a certain magic and this made them the way they were. Each Main Ten, the vampire siblings, had their own little aspect. Each held a different weapon. Different personality. Different style.
"Big brother Illusion. Why are you staring at the paintings of mom and dad?" The youngest vampire, Claws, had asked her elder brother.
"Hm? Well. I'm just bored and got carried away in my busy mind" He responded. He turned to his sister, who seemed like a very young child, and smiled widely.
"Well, my siblings, I have called you all here for a very important meeting," the eldest, Scythe, started. All her younger siblings turned to her. Illusion, however, quickly averted his eyes and stared at the painting again.
"May I ask what this meeting is about?" Asked Illusion. His voice had his normal bored tone in it. He was constantly bored. Trying to find something to take his boredom away. Humans weren't always interesting.
"We have to talk about our kind. One of us went against our word and has infected more than they should of. Humans are fearing us more and more. Fear causes war and bloodshed. We're immortals yes, but humans aren't" Scythe seemed genuinely angry as she spoke.
After she had finished, all of the vampires, but one, decided to accuse someone. They accused Illusion. He hadn't wronged them. The one they want is actually Knives, the second eldest. He loves blood more than anyone is this family.
"I may be bored and want fun, but I love family too much to wrong them" Illusion sighed. He stared at his siblings, blinked, and stepped out of the room. He walked through the hallways till he found the entrance to his family's mansion. "They are all boring"
Hours later he found himself at a friends humble abode. He knocked on the door and waited patiently for his friend. She wasn't interesting to him, her daughter was, even though he saw her just once.
"Good morning, Illusion! How long has it been since you took the time to stay here?" Asked a woman, fairly shorter than him, with near blonde hair. It was a very light brown.
"Since your daughter was only at the young age of three. Speaking of her. Where has she gone?" Illusion asked.
"Oh my. Have you had no sense of time? It's been over fifty years!" Exclaimed the female.
"It has? But Victoria, you still look as young as you did that day!" He was gaining interest. "So I'm assuming you daughter has started her own family? Probably already a grandmother?" He continued.
"Oh dear! She hasn't! She so desperately wished for a lovely husband! A prince at that! In some way, she described her prince to look like you!" Victoria exclaimed.
"She has?" He was surprised. She's only seen him once.
"Yes, but I have no idea why. She says she'd want a prince. A humble one. His description of appearance almost perfectly described you!" Victoria continued. Illusion chuckled and smiled a genuine smile.
The two had tea. Victoria rambled on about her daughter. She loves her, but doesn't show it. Her daughter doesn't even know her own name nor who she actually is. Victoria explained to Illusion that she has a son, probably already a grandfather, only two years younger than her dear daughter.
"So many secrets. Secrets are boring and intriguing at the same time." Illusion sighed. He cracked a slight chuckle and took his leave.
Illusion found himself in a kingdom he's never been to. He decided to stay there and see if it has interesting aspects. Sadly it didn't. Not for a while at least. There were rumors a beast made it into the castle. Although, it was no beast, but a girl. A brunette child with black locks of hair. She only saw her once, when the princess was taking a stroll through the town.
Elizabeth was her name. She always wore a dog collar and stayed beside the princess Victoria like an obedient dog. Illusion heard that the higher class were invited to the royal ball the king's family were hosting.
"I'll sneak in," he told himself. Although, the ball was a week from the time he told himself that so he decided to spend it accordingly. He went to see if anyone was worthy of being his master. Sadly, no one was. Bored, he decided to toy with the minds of the worthless humans he saw.
Illusion is his weapon. Although, he make any weapon appear, he can't harm with them. They must be in his false sense of reality and kill them there. Although, his intention isn't to kill. He found a group of men. They seemed bored and in some sort of sadness. To help them out, Illusion made a new reality for them. One where there truest wishes come true.
"Where in the lord's name are we?" Asked one of the men.
"It is a peculiar place."
"John?" A female voice called out. All the men turned towards where the voice originated and met eyes with a blonde woman with dark brown eyes. "My dear! Jessica!"
The man, assumed to be John, hugged the woman tightly. "Where have you been? I thought you left me!" He called out, tears in his eyes.
"Isn't that his betrothed?" Asked one of the other men.
"I thought she ran off with another man..."
"P-Papa!" A child's voice called out. Out came running a child who went for one of the men and hugged him.
"My child!" He cried out as he picked her up. Illusion smiled. He misses his parents. He still wishes his father would be there to hug him.
The other men wandered off and let the two men deal with their families. They must be missing loved ones. It'll be truly heart wrenching when they find out the truth.
The other men found what they truly wished for. It was riches, a family, and other things many people might wish for. Illusion was bored when he found out they got what they wanted without effort. So he started twisting their reality again. What the men wish for the least found them.
"My child?" One man called out as he saw his daughter run off into the forest. He went to follow her, but failed at finding her. In reality, she was kidnapped five years ago and died by hands of the ones who captured her.
"Jessica?" John asked. He saw his fiance with another man. Swooning over him. "I knew you were a bad person. Everyone told me you weren't. I should have tried to believe it than lie to myself" He cried. His reaction wasn't all too bad. He knew she was a slut. She knew she slept with other men. He just loved her too much.
The other men had their own death. They didn't actually die. They felt dead and had no mobility. When the illusion was over, all the men felt frightened. They never want to experience such a thing again. Illusion felt bad for them, but he was a vampire. They were pitiful in his eyes. The only thing he found humans useful for was blood.
___
Twas the night of the royal ball. Illusion was ready to go and find the girl who took his interest. He wants to know whether or not she'd be a good master. She seems interesting. Illusion took quite a while to prepare himself. Hours at that. Hours after the party started, but luckily, the ball was said to go on to as late as the people wished for it to go on.
Illusion turned into a small black bat doll. His left eye was a silver-looking diamond as his right eye was a plain red circle. He flew through the sky all the way towards the castle. When he was there, he flew in when he saw the doors were slightly ajar.
Illusion found an area to transform. Once he had done so, he wandered around to look for the girl who caught his attention. He saw her, or at least who he thought was her, standing beside the princess. The princess, who had a mask on, seemed to dislike the girls presence. He had noticed this that one day the two were wandering around the kingdom.
The vampire saw a ginger talk to the princess and the two went off to dance. They left the girl who he was so entranced by alone. He took it as his chance to talk to her. So he invited her to dance.
"May I have this dance?" The vampire with blonde hair had asked when he approached the female.
"You may," the girl responded with a bright and very welcoming smile. This girl rarely dances as she is forced to train in her attempt to defeat the vampires. Her main goal was to kill all of the Main Ten and she has almost been brainwashed into thinking that's her sole purpose.
"You're the princess' favored friend right?" Illusion tried to start up a conversation.
"Indeed I am! The princess is one of the kindest people to me," she said in a proud manner.
"May I know your name?" He asked.
"I'm Elizabeth," she had responded, "Will you tell me your name as I told you mine?" Illusion seemed like he stiffened at her question.
"Elizabeth is a lovely name for a lovely woman," he tried to avoid the question. You see, a Main Ten vampire relies on their master for a name . This blonde had no current name. His first master gave him a name that would be considered old and not of this time.
"Thank you! Now may I please know your name?" Elizabeth asked again.
"Your hair is lovely. It suits you very well. Why must you where that mask? It seems you and the princess, and even a few other people, brought masks," he continued to avoid the question he was being asked.
"Oh? The invitation said it was optional to bring masks as a part of it was a masquerade," Elizabeth responded, forgetting to ask for his name once again.
"You should take off your mask, I bet your face is just as lovely!" He had added. He forgot it was an invite party only. He had snuck his way in in hopes of getting to meet this beloved friend of the princess. He knew she wasn't so beloved. Everyone despised her. They wanted her dead. At least, judging by the looks everyone acquainted with Elizabeth gave when they saw her.
"What lies beneath the mask is a big difference compared to what you see now. I don't have any problems, but there is more to what's beneath it. Not even the princess knows about it. I think we should leave it at that," Elizabeth had said in a stern manner indicating it was a topic that could enrage her.
"Sweet blossom, I must go now. It was lovely dancing with a beautiful and lively person like you. Maybe I could meet the lovely Elizabeth once again, but for now, I must part from the wondrous mystery I see before me," Illusion had said. His words were sweet and sounded sincere. He could possibly have been a poet as he just knew how to sway a girl's heart. Although, he couldn't do so with Elizabeth. At least, that's not how it seemed.
She simply smiled and said, "Hopefully you could."
That simply was not the case. Not for another several centuries at least. Although, the two didn't realize it. Even though that's the case, Elizabeth still remembers those words. They were sweet and she wishes she could hear them again. She just wants to hear them from her significant other. It doesn't have to be that man she met that one day, she just wants to hear them from the one she truly loves. If that were to ever to happen.
Illusion just has no interest for girls. He teases them yes, but they don't spark any love within him. Elizabeth didn't do so, but she sparked his interest. After their little dance, he swore to himself she will be his next master. Sadly, that was not the case.
___
About two weeks after the dance, Elizabeth was hanged. Illusion watched it happen. He so desperately wanted to save her, but he knew he was not in the position. "She's just another worthless human"
He stuck around where she was hanged. He was so oblivious to the fact that she was still alive. He was unaware the girl, was an immortal werewolf. He was unaware she is Victoria's daughter. Maybe it was for the best. Elizabeth is more passionate about killing vampires at this time. In the future, when they meet again, this might change.
"Why did I even think she was a suitable master. They all end up dying. If she lived, that would have been proof she was worthy," he told himself. "Worthless"
This whole time, Illusion hadn't realized someone was watching him. Who? His youngest sibling Claws of course!
She watched him. Silently. She wanted to cause a crisis for everyone in the town, but since her older brother was temporarily living there, she refused to do so. Claws saw her brother walk off, his face showing pure boredom. She also watched a fire happen. A fire by the hands of Elizabeth, the girl Illusion wanted to be his master.
The next day, Illusion heard of this news. Bored, he left the kingdom. He never went back.
___
Illusion made his way back home. He was happy they found out his elder brother was the actual cause of vampires' growth. He went back to his normal life. His normal boring life. They question what he had done when he left and so he explained.
"I first went to a friend of mine. Talked to her, more liked listened to her as she rambled on and on about her daughter."
They all sat patiently and heard his story.
"After tea, I left and aimlessly wandered."
Scythe brought out some scones and tea. She gave everyone one. Although, Illusion refused. He was bored and wanted to get the story over with. He didn't want to have to stop to bite and chew.
"I ended up in a kingdom. A pretty boring one."
Claws was bored. She knew the whole story and since only a little bit of it was to her liking, she didn't care.
"I toyed with the minds of worthless humans."
Scythe glared at him for saying such a thing. She hates when her siblings talk like that. On the other hand, Knives grinned like a mad man at his younger brother's words.
"Found a pretty interesting human girl and danced with her at a ball. I considered having her as my new master."
All of them stared at Illusion in awe. He rarely has masters because of his picky taste. If she caught his attention she must be a very unique and intriguing being.
"Two weeks later... She was hanged."
Illusion slightly smiled, but one out of pity. Claws began to grin like a mad person. She knows the truth.
"A fire started the next night."
Claws knew the truth. Elizabeth was hanged, but didn't die. Elizabeth started the fire and someone else was blamed for it
"The town became boring again."
Illusion paused for quite a while. He looked up to see their responses. He saw two of his siblings with creepily wide smiles on their faces. He shook his head and sighed. Of course they'd be the one to enjoy the story the most.
"I came back here."
Scythe hugged her younger brother. She knows how much it hurts for him. He gets lonely and although his family can take that loneliness away, he wants new things in his life. He tried to see if he could get his mind off things. So he began his bad habit. The bad habit to flirt. Although, he'd stop himself. He just feels bad for the amount of girls who were upset to know he has no interest in them.
___
The entire family decided to visit Victoria. "My my! You've all come!" Victoria exclaimed. She picked up Claws happily and pinched her cheeks.
"I'm bored. May I sleep?" Asked Illusion. Scythe smacked him and Victoria led him to the guest room. It was recently used. By who? By Elizabeth. She had gone back to her mother's, a bit disappointed. Then she left again. Better for Victoria, seeing who her guests are.
Illusion had an awfully strange dream. He saw a girl with black hair which contained locks of brown hair. Her eyes were green, but two different shades of them. Illusion found himself trying to stab the girl with a knife. He cut a part of her cheek, drawing some blood.
The girl immediately covered it with magic. Her eyes flashed yellow quickly before she went in to kick him. He had dodged. He was in an unknown world to him. Vast tall buildings. Metal bars on top of some. Moving transportation rides traveling without horses. He was spectating. He had no control of his dream.
Illusion turned into a bat to dodge the girls next attack. She turned into a wolf and attempted to bite his wing. She almost managed to get him, but failed by a sliver.
"Bad vampire! Don't dodge! Stay there and let me rip you to shreds!" The girl called out. She seemed as if she was faking it. There were others watching them fight. His siblings and a group of twelve unknown people. Maybe she's trying to fake the fight?
Illusion went to go bite the girl's arm and as he did, he drew a lot of blood. He didn't seem like he was trying to hurt her. His fangs weren't deep in her skin. He backed away, licking the blood off his lips. She healed it with magic, but her moves slowed down. This went on for a while. That is, till he awoke.
Scythe woke him up abruptly and forced him to drink tea with the others. Illusion, not wanting to continue the dream, agreed without a fuss.
___
If only Illusion knew what the dream meant. It was him and Elizabeth fake fighting. He never told his siblings of it, and eventually, he forgot about the dream. He lived his life. His boring. He watched the wars, the natural disasters, and the evolution of life. He never once recalled this dream.
Eventually, Illusion finds an interesting pair of kids. One who he originally intended on making his master, and the one who became his master. He was named Kuku. He acts as a brother and makes fun of his master for owning a doll, a doll who was actually a vampire.
Luckily enough, around this time... He meets the girl from his dream. The one he fought. This girl who was also a candidate for being his master. Elizabeth. The girl now going by the name Dawn Neri.
