A Made Werewolf: A Pet

The werewolf sat along the path, wanting to try the new spell she was informed of by Victoria. To be a pet. She wanted to see if being a pet was something werewolves could be. The poor girl has to wait a while before her pack are mature enough for her to even let them know of what they happen to be.

She wandered around as a spaniel and tried to see who would like to take her in. To her luck, the girl found a princess. The peculiar part was the fact that the princess was named Victoria, just like her mentor.

Victoria was more than eager to have a pet. "It gets lonely and until one of the bachelors picked for me end up marrying me, and even then, I want a pet to love and cherish," said Victoria as she explained to her carriage guard as to why she wanted to adopt the brown and white spaniel.

"I suppose you may get the stray mutt, but if your parents say otherwise, you are to give it up," her guard had given in as he stared at the princess. Oh how much he wanted to tell her he'll keep her company. As the two knew each other since childhood, they slowly grew distanced and the guard wanted to get to know the princess again.

The spaniel hopped on the carriage the princess rode and eagerly awaited what might be an owner. She was eager to hear the name she was given. She doesn't recall ever being given a name. All she was told was that her mother gave her up out of utter disappointment with her being female opposed to male.

The small and young spaniel with pale gold orbs walked beside the princess in an obedient way in order to be allowed into the family more welcomed. If the princess knew that the puppy walking beside her was actually a grown woman who looked to be in her near end adolescence, maybe the werewolf wouldn't regret ever being a pet in the first place.

"Oh mother! May I please have this dog? It would fill me with joy! I promise to make it obedient and sophisticated!" Begged the princess. The spaniel was in Victoria's arms, making sure to be calm.

"You realize a dog is a big responsibility?" Interrupted the king, "It would only add to your daily life and dog will only be one big toll."

"I realize that father. I promise to keep up what I have and not let this poor puppy be of burden to me," the princess had added. It took Victoria's parents a while to accept the spaniel. First order of business with the dog was to wash it. The maids were busy preparing the princess for the dinner was going to have with one of her eligible bachelors. The job of cleaning the puppy disguised werewolf was left to the males.

The girl felt uneasy about letting males clean her up, but since they have no idea she's even a grown woman, she'll let it pass and continue on. Her fur was so silky and very shiny. She sat there admiring the curly locks of her ears.

There was another step to the werewolf's initiation. It was being bestowed upon a collar and a name. Seeing as the castle had no dog collars, the princess waited till the very next day for that. The name? It was quick and simple. Victoria wished she was named this herself ever since she was a child and first heard the name. "Elizabeth is what I'll name you. You will be my Elizabeth and I will love you till death do us part," the princess had said.

Name? That's done. Collar? Yet to be accomplished.

The dinner was lovely. In some sort of way. Elizabeth found it very boring and not quite unique. The bachelor himself was boring. So conformed. Whenever Victoria tried to start up a conversation, he would just nod for her to continue, but usually, she required a response in order to do so. The one thing the bachelor seemed to enjoy was Elizabeth. He really liked the dog and wanted to pet her as much as he can. Even asked where they got her because he was interested in getting a spaniel of his own.

"Found her by the road. I'm not sure if she's a purebred or not, but the dog needed a family and I need company. Seemed like the best thing to do was adopt her and reign full responsibility over her," the princess explained hoping to actually get a conversation going.

He nods as he focused on petting Elizabeth. It was a while before he left and both Victoria and Elizabeth were more than glad. His arrival wasn't exactly cherished as much as they had hoped. Even the queen found him a bit too serious. The fact that he seemed to enjoy the dog's company more made it more obvious he shouldn't be the prince to marry Victoria.

It was the next day. Birds chirped, flowers filled the air with a lovely aroma, and Elizabeth was much too eager to wear her collar. There is only one way to make an owner-pet contract between werewolves and the being whose to be their owner.

The werewolf must be in their wolf, or domesticated dog, form. They must be given an item by their owner. They must be given a name. The final step is for the werewolf to transform. Once transformed, the potential owner has one month to call out their pet's name. Then from their, death will make the two depart. Death or the werewolf has to hear their owner say, "I hate..." and the name they were given.

The small spaniel pup sat on the velvet pillow as she awaited her collar. Elizabeth was more than thrilled, but how will she let Victoria know and stay accepted? That was the more challenging part. Acceptance. Luckily for Elizabeth, it was much easier than she had first anticipated.

"I had no idea you there were such creatures!" Victoria nearly yelled as she let the excitement of new information get to her.

"Yes, yes, it's true. I really needed a friend so what better than to get an owner?" Elizabeth had responded with a playful smile plastered on her face. Her dark brown hair with black strands of hair here and there fell down to her mid back. Although Elizabeth seemed to still be young, not even an adult, she was well over forty years than what she looks. Being immortal is something Elizabeth hopes to be a very lovely experience.

"This is truly fascinating!" the princess continued on her excitement. The brunette who stood before her continued to show off her magic. Elizabeth showed the princess her wings. At the moment, Elizabeth is limited to her more than enough wings. Her wings can look like wings of a bird, an angel, but its original form looks like black scarves torn at the ends in a fashionable manner.

Elizabeth failed to mention she was an immortal. If this crucial part of information was shared, maybe things would've played out for her in a different way. Although, her story must go on as it should. Even the smallest of change can make one drastic change in one's life. Whether it's the lie of friendship or deciding to eat that piece of cake before the party started.

"Now now... Before you let curiosity kill you, may you remind me what my name was again?" Elizabeth smirked. She just needs Victoria to call out her name. The collar Elizabeth was given is still there, once it fades, it's too late to be a pet.

"It's Elizabeth. How do you not remember that?" The princess responded unaware to the plan Beth had. The chirp of a church bell was heard to the ears of Victoria. What seemed like shattered glass flew off the collar of Elizabeth and had signified that she is now a pet. The pet to what seems to be a very pristine and caring princess.

"Now, my owner, will you inform your parents of me? Will you let them know I will be the one to be by your side till death do us part?" Elizabeth asked.

"I shall inform them all! I shall tell them you will be the friend who will be by my side as I die!" Victoria called out to Elizabeth. Elizabeth was going to be by Victoria's deathbed as Victoria's life were to fade away, but who would've predicted that Elizabeth would be the one to have caused it? No one, not even Elizabeth, but the moon predicted it. It was her fault for Elizabeth's drastic change in attitude towards the princess.

The guard who had first called Elizabeth a mutt happened to have been eavesdropping on their conversation. Victoria opened the door in order to exit her room and found her guard standing outside it. "I was watching guard for you!" Was his excuse.

"Aren't you the male who called me a mutt?" Elizabeth asked. She knew he was listening. She knew the whole time.

"Yes I was, ma'am." His response seemed a bit fearful. The king and queen do not support this sort of thing. He could be hanged as a result for eavesdropping.

"What's your name?" Asked Elizabeth. "William," was his response. Victoria stared at the tall red head in admiration. The two loved each other, but couldn't admit it as it was forbidden.

It was months since Elizabeth became a pet to the famous Victoria. Victoria found the perfect bachelor, but even then, she wishes to be with William. Elizabeth noticed this, but took no actions in response to this. That probably was another one of her mistakes.

She could've avoided what was in store for her if she tried to beg the king and queen to allow their daughter to marry William. He was the general's second-in-command and successor. Maybe that would've prevented the hate Victoria grew when it came to her pet.

Although, it may not be time to dwell on that as a ball, a gala, was in play. Elizabeth stood beside her owner as she wore a light blue dress complement by a bun topped of with a blue flower. Her dress matched the princess' as Victoria wore a dark blue dress with lovely dark blue gloves and a flower to go with it all. The two girls wore masks as the gala was a masquerade party as well.

"May I dance with your daughter?" Elizabeth heard William quietly ask the king and queen. They gave him their approval and dance they did. Elizabeth felt rather lonely at the ball. She noticed Victoria act a bit bitter and aloof, but she didn't realized it was happening every day. Victoria's false smiles and façades fooled Elizabeth.

"May I have this dance?" A male with blonde hair and red eyes had asked when he approached the werewolf.

"You may," Elizabeth responded with a bright and very welcoming smile. Elizabeth rarely dances as she is forced to train in her attempt to defeat the vampires. Her main goal was to kill all of the Main Ten and she has almost been brainwashed into thinking that's her sole purpose.

"You're the princess' favored friend right?" The male tried to start up a conversation.

"Indeed I am! The princess is one of the kindest people to me," Elizabeth said a proud manner.

"May I know your name?" The male asked.

"I'm Elizabeth," she had responded, "Will you tell me your name as I told you mine?" The male seemed like he stiffened at her question.

"Elizabeth is a lovely name for a lovely woman," the male tried to avoid the question. You see, the male was a vampire, Main Ten's third eldest to be exact. A Main Ten vampire rely on their masters for names. This blonde had no current name. His first master gave him a name that would be considered old and not of this time.

"Thank you! Now may I please know your name?" Elizabeth asked again.

"Your hair is lovely. It suits you very well. Why must you where that mask? It seems you and the princess, and even a few other people, brought masks," the male continued to avoid the question he was being asked.

"Oh? The invitation said it was optional to bring masks as a part of it was a masquerade," Elizabeth responded, forgetting to ask for his name once again.

"You should take off your mask, I bet your face is just as lovely!" he had added. He forgot it was an invite party only. He had snuck his way in in hopes of getting to meet this beloved friend of the princess. He knew she wasn't so beloved. Everyone despised her. They wanted her dead.

"What lies beneath the mask is a big difference compared to what you see now. I don't have any problems, but there is more to what's beneath it. Not even the princess knows about it. I think we should leave it at that," Elizabeth had said in a stern manner indicating it was a topic that could enrage her.

"Sweet blossom, I must go now. It was lovely dancing with a beautiful and lively person like you. Maybe I could meet the lovely Elizabeth once again, but for now, I must part from the wondrous mystery I see before me," the male had said. His words were sweet and sound sincere. He could possibly have been a poet, but he just knew how to sway a girl's heart. Although, he couldn't do so with Elizabeth.

She simply smiled and said, "Hopefully you could."

That simply was not the case. Not for another several centuries at least. Although, the two didn't realize it. Even though that's the case, Elizabeth still remembers those words. They were sweet and she wishes she could hear them again. She just wants to hear them from her significant other. It doesn't have to be that man she met that one day, she just wants to hear them from the one she truly loves. If that were to ever to happen.

"I don't understand why they want me dead! I hadn't wronged them!" Elizabeth yelled. Victoria stood beside her, hugging her, and petting her hair in an attempt to calm Elizabeth down.

"I really wish they haven't tried their hardest. They just don't like you. They were told a rumor that you've been working with an enemy kingdom and now they want you dead. For treason," explained the princess. Lies. All lies. The princess, Victoria, wanted Elizabeth gone. Rather than breaking the contract verbally, she wants to abide by her words. "Till death do us part."

"I want to stay! At least until you properly marry! I know you have a new bachelor. It sucks the other one had tossed you aside for another princess!" Elizabeth cried. Her tears left long wet streaks on her face. Elizabeth avoided to wipe her tears away as now, she's irritated her skin and even crying makes it hurt.

Elizabeth tried to remain calm. Knowing that she might be attacked any moment by the king's orders, frightened her. She may be immortal, but the pain can still feel terrible and utterly uncomfortable. The spaniel eager to live with the princess, the werewolf actually enjoying being a pet, wanted to start anew. She wanted to change anything that might've made it all go wrong.

Only a week later, Elizabeth was sentenced to a death penalty. She was to be hanged. Elizabeth accepted the hanging. She could come back as another dog. She can still be with the princess if she was careful.

"Here we have Elizabeth! The princess' loving friend and loyal pet! She has been charged with treason and will now be hanged for it!" The executioner called out. Elizabeth walked up the rickety old stairs and stood beneath the noose. As they wrapped it around her neck, everyone awaited to see her die.

With the pull of a lever, the ground beneath Elizabeth fell. She forcefully hang there limp and dealt with excruciating amounts of pain she was experiencing. It was a struggle to breath, but suffocation couldn't kill her. Only one known thing could kill her, and that's having her experience near death and go through the long process of regeneration.

Near death only occurs for Elizabeth when a vampire of fellow werewolf goes all out and manages to knock her out. When that's accomplished, you must kill her before the wolf that protects her takes control and decides to kill the enemy or first one they see. There's another chance, but even then, it's still hard. As Elizabeth is knocked unconscious, you must land a final blow as she regenerates. Her wolf will be sitting beside her and won't let a soul touch Elizabeth.

Elizabeth hung there for nearly a day. When it was near night, she cut the rope using her wings and fell down. Elizabeth gasped for air when she was free. There was one person near, but he could hardly see her. His view was obstructed by the leaves of a tree. The blonde really would've like to get to know Elizabeth better and possibly make her his new master, but he saw her die. Or so he thought. Sad thing is he never found out she actually was alive.

Elizabeth quietly ran through the halls as a smaller dog. She sniffed out Victoria's scent and found her having dinner with her parents. "Oh how much I hated that dog! It was actually satisfying seeing her hanged."

Those words stopped Elizabeth in her tracks. She was hurt by them.

"Yes we know how much you hate seeing people hanged. The fact that you asked us to hang her was shocking!" The queen said in great flabbergast.

"Yes and your fake tears were so lively," the king added.

"Of course! I hate Elizabeth! Taking her in should have been considered a sin!" Victoria added. The contract broke. She broke it. Elizabeth ran from the castle as quickly as she could. She ran towards a path and turned back into a human.

"She broke it! She hated me! It should be a sin to be taken in be Victoria in the first place! Why did I even choose to be a pet?" Elizabeth, no the werewolf, yelled, the rage clearly visible. Why else would she kick rocks around in rage.

The werewolf's collar disappeared to show she no longer had a formed contract. Deciding to not dwell on the subject, the werewolf put on a mask and began to walk through the night. Her tears stained her face. Her mask could only stop so many tears.

"I'll never be a pet again!" The werewolf yelled out to seemingly no one. Little did she know the youngest Main Ten was watching her misery. She found misery and pain quite amusing and the werewolf's misery seemed unique to her.

Frustrated with the circumstance she was in, the werewolf screamed of anger and threw her hands up. Her scream was directed towards the harmless sky. The werewolf's eyes locked with the full moon. Another mistake on her behalf. The moon could sway the werewolf's emotions immediately. It would be another century before she wouldn't have too much of an affect on the werewolf.

Standing there, entranced by her rays and round figure, the werewolf suddenly had a change in mood. She lost all control. Her wish to flee peacefully was now a wish to kill the princess. That may be what she considered in the beginning, but the moon made this idea official. It was no longer the werewolf's wish, it was her wolf's wish.

In the castle, Victoria was already sleeping. Sleeping peacefully on her bed. The werewolf snuck into her room and lit the candle beside the princess' bed. Grabbing the princess' hand, the werewolf set her on fire. The princess didn't wake. She was too deep in sleep. Her bed became her deathbed.

"Till death do us part." The werewolf muttered those words angrily as the sleeping figure burned in her sleep on her own bed. The werewolf left before anything else could happen. Everyone in the castle were already fast asleep. All, but one. William. He saw smoke coming out of Victoria's room. He saw her burned and knew he was late. He didn't realize the other rooms were also on fire. William was the only one to escape.

Everyone else either burned in their sleep, burned by the time they got out, or killed by the debris that fell on top of them or below them.

The very next day, the werewolf found herself in an inn in town. Still under the effect of the moon, her eyes silver opposed to yellow or green, she walked through town and heard William explaining to the crowd as to what happened. It became the big news by the end of the day. Luckily, the werewolf was disguised enough as to not be recognized by anyone. Now even the vampire who planned on possibly having her as a master.

"I was planning on killing her anyways..." The werewolf said that more to herself than anyone else and no one even heard her.

William eventually was accused of causing the fire and was thrown in prison for it. He spent the rest of his life moping about how he never truly admitted to Victoria that he truly loved her. The werewolf and the vampire continued to not even know about the other's existence and grew as the immortals they are.

The werewolf wishes to no longer be a pet nor does she like the name Elizabeth.

The End
