Did the narcissist ever really loved you ?
Perhaps he loved the idea of you.
Perhaps he loved how you made him feel.
Perhaps he loves the fantasy of what life with you could bring him.
Perhaps ;
he loved the idea that he has finally found someone who will love him unconditionally & ignore his shortcomings.
Perhaps ;
he was taken by your beauty , or intelligence or wit !
But he was never strong enough to go to the next level.
And ultimately that is what you wanted right ?
You wanted a real , mature , loving , caring , nurturing relationship that considered your needs.
And you ,
simply weren't going to get it from someone that shallow!
