The Ruins

*(Y/n)  pov*

Flowey froze and started shaking. There was a tall goat woman with a red and black dress, standing in front of us, "Come my child...I will help most definitely you!~" She said with a smirk on her face, "Don't listen to her..!" Flowey whispered, "I see good in her!" I whispered back, "Oh! I hadn't introduced myself yet! Silly me! I'm Toriel. Keeper of The Ruins." She said happily, "And I'm (Y/n)!" I chirped as Flowey gave me a look. She smiled and grabbed my arm, "Well my child. The Ruins are very dangerous..let me help you!" She forced a laugh and my face went from, 'Wtf is she doing?' To, 'really? Do you call that a laugh? Yeah, she's gonna kill me.' I sighed and smiled nervously. I tried to pull away and she tightened her grip. Then she dragged me with her. I held Flowey tightly as Toriel continued dragging me.  She dragged me into a room with several buttons and a door, "My child, there are many puzzles in the Ruins, but if you use your knowledge, then you will be able to pass them all!" She exclaimed and stepped on certain buttons then pulled a lever. The ground shook a little when the door opened. I stared at it in awe, "Whoa.." I muttered as Toriel forced a smile. She grabbed my arm again and took me through it. After a few more puzzles we stopped by a river with a bridge of spikes, "Let's see how you do with this my child!" Toriel said and cupped her hands together, "Don't worry (Y/n)..I'll help you pass this. I know the path." Flowey whispered. I nodded and did as he told me, "Okay..go this way..now that- no that way.." He told me quietly so Toriel didn't hear, "This..n-no this- (Y/n) it's this wa--!" Flowey got interrupted by spikes going through my body. I gasped at the impact and coughed up blood. I heard Toriel chuckle behind me.

All of a sudden I was in a black and heard a voice,

"You can not give up hope....(Y/n)!! Stay determined!"

It said. I took a shaky breath and closed my eyes. When I opened them I was in the spot where Toriel told me to cross the spike bridge. This time I waited for Floweys full instructions when stepping over things. After that whole ordeal, I followed Toriel through The Ruins, when she just LEFT ME!! I'M. NOT. JOKING! She left me alone in The Ruins to go DO something? I mean she did give me a phone.  Or she just wanted me to die alone, but hey, I wasn't complaining. Flowey knew The Ruins pretty well apparently. So I followed his instructions. Soon after she left I got a phone call, "Hello my child! Do you prefer blood or blood?" She asked. I stood there knowing there was only one answer, "B-blood.." "Perfect! Thank you, my child!" She hung up. I shivered and continued walking. About five minutes passed by when I ran into a Whismur, "Okay. Easy Exp. Just one shot them. These are weak." Flowey said to me. I blinked at his statement, "What? No! You can't just kill something because they're weak!" I told him sternly. It looked like it could be spared without me doing anything, so I did. Flowey sighed, "But the rules down here are kill or be killed..." He muttered as we started walking again, "Then why haven't you killed me?" I asked him. He looked down at the dirt in the boot, "W-well...I thought if I showed you the ropes..you would learn..just know I've never been the type to kill either..." He fidgeted with his leaves as he spoke. I smiled and laughed softly, "Oh Flowey... I was asking because it's what a normal person would do. I don't care if you kill me or not. At least you're my friend!" I chirped and Flowey returned the smile. After hours of solving puzzles, sparing monsters, and filling with 'dEtErMiNaTiOn' we reached a small house, "My..that took longer than expected...Oh! Hello, my child! Did I take that long?" She rushed up to me to see if I was hurt, "Very well then...I have a surprise for you!"
