Y/n's pov

Kai and I just made it back to my cell.

I decided to use this time constructively.

I unfurled my wings.

Kai being the smart mouth he is decided to say "haven't you had enough FAILURE for one day?"

I said "I'll have you know I did great with learning how to control my ears. Also, how do you  know that I am going to fail?" I raised my eyebrow.

He says "because that's what has happened the last bazillion times that you have tried to fly."

I smirk and say "look whos memory is failing to remember I only tried once!"

He blushes and stuttering says "well-uh- my memory goes fuzzy around pretty girls- I mean um..." He trails off.

Once I process the words my face is covered with shock and I blush wildly.

I stutter out "y-you th-think I'm pretty?"

He at first not thinking says "yes! Uh I mean what do you think what are you do you want for me to of said?"

I say "uh I don't know... It's just the only other person to ever think that I'm pretty is Lloyd...Lloyd my boyfriend... You know that Lloyd and I are dating. Right? So, of course, I can't go out with you-" he cuts me off.

"Yes yes, of course, I know about you and Lloyd I don't know what I was thinking. But you should also know that I can't ignore how I feel."

Kai and I yawn at the same time.

We laugh.

He says "It looks like we should go to bed."

I start saying without missing a beat "no no no no that's a big no-no at the moment I must practice my flying."

He grabs my hand and starts leading me to the bed slowly while saying "come on you will be able to fly better after a good rest."

I pull my hand out of his grip and I say "no my mind is made up! I am practicing flying and that. Is that."

I then walk back to my spot and unfurled my wings and start flapping while noticing that instead of going to sleep he just sits down and watches.

I start to flap faster.

My wings start to lift me off the floor and Kai's eyes go wide and his jaw drops.

I start laughing and yelling "YES! WHOA- DON'T WORRY I THINK I HAVE IT NOW. Heh heh" I had started to drop as I spoke but I quickly regain focus.

He keeps silent and continues watching.

I soon get a wing cramp and fall because of it Kai runs over and jumping hits my body and we go flying into the wall.

I, when I've recovered from the shock, say "uh- thanks?"

We laugh and then he says "bed?"

I nod and say "bed."

We then go into bed and fall asleep.

-le time skip-

I wake up I try to sit up only to have strong arms pull me back down.

I turn around and see Kai awake he laughs and says "hey. Did you know that you talk in your sleep?"

I say "really?!" He nods and we both laugh.

I hear something and my ear twitches.

I then look up to see the Overlord.

I boredly say "what now?" As Kai flinches.

Overlord says "I have to ask you something you see the twins birthday is coming up and we all need to get them something now what are you getting them one present y/n you get Destiny and Kai David now answer."

I say "can Kai and I get them a gift for them to share?"

He says "yes now what?"

I said "well... Since they have never left the island and there are no animals here I thought that I could get them a cat. Wait a minute...a cat... Oh no! Smokey! I need to go. Now!" I stand up frantically and serpentine holds me in place to keep me from leaving.

Overlord says "wait wait wait! Why? Why do you need to leave? Kai do you know?"

He just says "beats me. Maybe he might know? But I don't want him to get taken." He quietly says all but beats me but the Overlord says "who? Who might know?"

Kai says "hm? Oh, no one why don't you ask her once she calms down?"

Overlord agrees tells them to chain me by my arms and leaves.

After a while of pulling on the chains and yelling I calm down.

Kai yells saying that I ready to talk and the Overlord pops in.

Overlord says "now y/n. Talk. Why did you freak out on me?"

I panting say "well... The thing is I'm worried about my poor kitten Smokey. I've been gone for a while and I don't know if he's ok. He might be starving. Sick. Hurt. I need to get back to him! Please!"

He says "well... How about I constantly check on him or give you a way to see him I mean I created the dark island so I think I could make something to show you that! Hm? Would that work? I can't have you escaping now can I? I'll get a cat for the twins while I pick up my gift. For them."

I sigh and say "I guess that could work."

And he spoofs away.

A few minutes later I hear footsteps and I see David and Destiny come in.

Kai and I look at them and oh my goodness they looked so different our jaws hit the floor.
