Y/n Pov

Ash and I are now running to Professor Oaks' lab almost being late again due to SOMEONE sleeping in.  After a few minutes of running, we finally made it to his lab nut only for Ash to yell.

"PROFESSOR OAK!"

"Oh, it's you Ash, and Y/n." He said then smiled at us.

"What did you want to talk to us about?" Ash questioned.

"Actually a protege of mine has just opened a brand new research facility in Vermillion City." Professor Oak informed.

"A new research facility?"

He nodded and said, "And I was hoping to invite you to the opening ceremony. You will come won't you?"

Ash agreed to go and turned to me. 

"You'll come too right?" 

"I'd love to!" we turned our heads to see Ms. Ketchum with Mimey. Ash groans while Professor Oak seems shocked. I kinda suspected this seeing as Ash forgot his lunch since we were in a hurry but I can't blame him because I would have probably done the same. 

"I came to deliver your lunch, but what a great idea! All those delicious sweet shops and big fashion boutiques in Vermillion City!" She beamed as she ran to get in the car. 

"Hold on, you're not saying you're coming with us." Ash groaned as he sweatdropped.

"Let's get rolling!" Ms. Ketchum cheered as Mimey agreed with her. I smacked the back of Ash's head.

"What did you do that for?!" Ash yelled at me.

"One, Respect your Mother, and two, Of course, I'm coming." 

We both got in the car and started our Drive to Vermillion City. We saw many Pokemon as we were driving. Ash also made it his job to try and name every single Pokemon he saw and I tried to catch a Bulbasaur but sadly failed. Ash put his hand on my shoulder as a sense of comfort. I smiled at him as a thank you and he picked up Pikachu and held him. 

we finally arrived at the facility and Professor told us to go on ahead without him. As we were walking there we came across a Yamper. And Ash went all fanboying mode seeing as he has never seen a Yamper before. 

"You're such a cutie! What's your name?"

I sweatdropped knowing what was already gonna happen and Pikachu claimed on my shoulder knowing helping Ash was impossible. While Ash was trying to grab Yamper it kept backing away while said told Yamper that he wouldn't hurt him. But then Ash pounced on Yamper finally grabbing it.

"See? Gotcha now." He chuckles for a little bit.

"Aw!" He said as he hugs Yamper

3 2 1! I thought as soon as I hit one he got electrocuted by Yamper. After Ash falls on the floor, Yamper and Pikachu start playing around. I giggled finding it cute that they are getting along. 

"Y/n?" 

I turned around and saw Chloe!

"CHLOE! I'm so happy to see you again!" I shouted and hugged her and she returned the favor. We walked to the facility while we were catching up. I wonder how Goh is doing?  I thought as we were walking inside.

"I need to go study but do you wanna come?" Chloe asked.

"As much as I would love to, I have to go to the opening ceremony but maybe after ok?" I replied sadly. She nodded and walked upstairs and I walked into a room with a lot of people. After a few minutes, Ash came and the ceremony started and it was kind of interesting.

Goh Pov

"Just as I predicted! These are the exact cloud formations needed for its arrival! This'll be a breeze." I said confidently.

Ash Pov

After I heard that a rare Pokemon might show up I knew I just had to check it out. "Ooh, Professors! We'll go check it out, kay?" I said as I grabbed Y/n's arm and ran to Vermillion City Port. 

"Ash you know I can run right?" Y/n asked. 

"Oh sorry." I sheepishly said as I ran into a Snorlax. 

"Give me a break! Move over!" I said as Pikachu yelled with me.

"Uh, Ash you know we can just walk around its head right?" Y/n asked. I stood there processing for a minute blinking a few times. Y/n started to drag me until I started running again beside her.

Goh Pov

"Here it comes. Five, four, three, two, one, go!" As I waited and yelled. But nothing happened. 

"That's weird. What happened?" I said then I heard something and turned to the noise to see a Psyduck. 

"What... What's with you?!" I said as I sweatdropped and it walked away. But then I heard thunder and looked where I heard it and saw a huge cyclone of grey clouds. 

"Over there!"

Y/n Pov

Everyone tried to catch or battle Lugia but I'm not stupid enough to even try but I can't say the same for Ash. They all are a bunch of idiots if they think they stand a chance against Lugia. I saw Ash challenge Lugia to a battle and I facepalmed at his stupidness. But I guess I can't say anything since I have a legendary which no one knows about. After I saw their battle end Ash ran to follow Lugia. I started to run to catch up with him. 

"Y/n when we get close jump!" I looked at Ash as if he was out of his mind which he was.

"Are you out of your mind! Ash a fall from this height can lead to death!" I yelled at him.

"On the count of three jump!" He said ignoring my statement.

"Three" Ash started counting.

"I never agreed to this!" I remarked.

"Two"

"I'm not doing this!"

"one" 

"I can't believe I'm about to do this."

"JUMP!"

We both jumped but I didn't jump strong enough since I am hanging on to Ash's hand fearing for my life. 

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" I hear Ash and another voice yell. Why does the other voice sound so familiar? Ash then got pulled up and when he was on Lugia's back he helped me up and we all sat there trying to catch our breath. I then looked at Lugia and he was staring at us then looked forward again flying to who knows where. I looked over at Ash I saw another boy. Wait is that...GOH?!

"Goh?"

He turned his head and looked at me with wide eyes. He hugged me and I returned the gesture and put my head on his shoulder. He tightened his grip on me but it was not enough to squeeze the air out of me.  

"I missed you." He whispered in my ear. My cheeks started burning and I feel all fuzzy inside. What is this feeling?

"I-I missed you too." I somewhat stuttered. He pulled away and looked at me.

Goh Pov

Y/n has gotten more beautiful since I saw her. What am I thinking?! I decided to distract myself by recording Lugia's skin and fins. Ash commented that Lugia's fins are warm and that it is as should be. I laughed for a little bit.

"You're kinda weird."

"You think so?" Ash quickly questioned.

"Yep, I accept you."

Ash looked confused so I decided to explain it to him.

"He wants to be your friend Baka," Y/n said while slapping him behind his head. I laughed when after a while Y/n started laughing with me. Her laugh is so cute I thought while looking at her. After that happened Lugia descended down words while releasing a blast that made a crater. We admired the scene until we got in the water when we had to hold our breath. We soon came back for air and we panted a little bit to catch our breath.

3rd person pov

Lugia soon drops them at a field by going upside down. The three fall and land on a mushroom But Goh successfully doges Ash but catches Y/n bridal style. They both blush and Goh carefully lets down Y/n. After a few minutes of talking they soon realize that they didn't know how to get back.

"I think it's this way." Ash pointed east.

"Ash it's probably behind us," Goh said. As they were arguing Y/n brought out her Dragonite and got on his back. They soon flew up and saw Vermillion City was in fact south so evidently Goh was correct.

"Hey, Baka's! Vermillion City is behind you!" Y/n yelled then flew in the direction back to the lab. 

Time skip

Ash and Goh finally got back and shared the data of Lugia with Professor Cerise and Professor Oak. Professor Cerise then asked if they wanted to become research fellows at his lab which Ash and Goh quickly agreed to. "I'm happy for the both of you," Y/n said giving a close-eyed smile for a few seconds while Goh blushed at how beautiful her smile is.

"Actually I meant it for you too." Professor Cerise said. This caused the small girl to come into a state of shock. She smiled but then frowned when she remembered something. "I would love to but I live in Alola." She frowned but then felt a hand on her shoulder and saw it was Professor Cerise. 

"That's not a problem." He smiled while the girl tilted her head to the side a little giving a confused look and Goh blushed again at her actions. The Professor soon showed the room the three would be staying in but there were only two beds. The girl smiled a little and saw Ash trying to get the top bunk but Goh pulled him down to the ground.

"Let Y/n pick which one she wants first," Goh said sternly while glaring at Ash. This caused the girl to giggle a little at what she had witnessed. Goh's cheeks were painted light pink when he heard her giggle. 

"Goh it's fine I can sleep on the couch." Y/n smiled at them. Goh shook his head. 

"No, I'll sleep on the couch and you sleep on one of the beds." They bickered about it for a few minutes until Y/n finally gave in and got on the top bunk.

"There you happy now?" Y/n retorted.

"Very." Goh teased.

After everyone settled in Ash's mom started going over the rules and Ash got embarrassed telling her to stop. 

"Y/n and Goh please be a good friend to Ash." 

"You can count on me," Goh replied proudly.

"I won't let you down Ms. Kectum," Y/n stated determinedly.

Professor Oak and Ms. Kectum soon drove off back to Pallet Town and everyone headed inside. Professor Cerise then released a Charmander, Bulbasaur, and a Squirtle. Ash got excited and loved them. 

"I haven't let Goh choose his starter Pokemon yet. So who will you choose?"

"Mew," Goh whispered.

"I choose Mew as my first Pokemon!" Goh said confidently.

"Wait you mean the Mythical Pokemon?!" Professor Cerise stated shocked. 

Goh then ran up and brought up a picture of Mew. 

"It's my future and I can hold it in the palm of my hand," Goh stated confidently.

"Your kinda weird aren't you Goh?" Ash questioned. And that soon started them to start bickering again. Y/n sweat-dropped at the scene while Professor Cerise just laughed and said something.

"I'm looking forward to this and learning more about Mew!"

"Right!" The three of them replied at the same time.

"Pikachu!"

"Eevee!"

It's a world full of dreams, adventure, and Pokemon, so let's go as the journey continues!
