The rain had left its trail behind it in the form of puddles. Despite that, many people stepped out of their houses for a morning walk, since it was a healthy habit. And Pune rains were never that severe anyway.

Maya stopped in her tracks to tie her shoelaces. She bent down to do the same, when someone came and stood right in front of her, clearing their throat. Her eyes snapped upwards and she saw a familiar face.

She beamed at him while he scowled.

❝ How are you smiling after making we get up so early in the morning? ❞

❝ You should have thought about that before losing the bet ❞

Prem groaned as she said the words.
Last night, at the ice cream parlour, Prem and Maya bet on whether Cricket was to be included in the next Olympic Games. Maya was right and as a 'punishment', Prem had to accompany her for a morning walk every day for ten days.
