(The chapter starts by panning down on Samantha's house. Her voice starts talking before Samantha walks out the front door)
Samantha: (Looking down at the sidewalk and thinking) "(sighs) How am I going to look at Garroth in the same way again? He stole my first kiss I was saving my first kiss for Aaron but he stole it.... I know I should be mad at him for kissing me with out consent but I don't honestly feel anything at the moment I'm honestly confused and I really wish that Aaron stole my first kiss.... But there's nothing I could do about it now.) L-Laurence!
Laurence: Hey Samantha, walking to school today?
Samantha: Y-Yep! Just walking to school today! Anyway, It's great to see ya! Hahaha!
(Ps Sam and Laurence can't hear this conversation)
Shad: Irene what should we do about Gene he's probably going to do something stupid and hurt Samantha!!!!!
Irene: Shad I know you're worried about her because Aaron cares about her I promise you Sam is a lot stronger and smarter than people think I believe Sam can get out of this situation on her own.
Shad: Irene if Samantha were to get hurt because of this Derek would never forgive me because he thinks of Samantha marrying his son in the near future.
Irene:(Sighs) I know I see how this could possibly be a problem in the near future but there's nothing we can do about it Sam doesn't know she is my niece or my descendant Sam would get really confused and try to ask questions Shad babe plz Sam isn't ready to meet me she lost her father last year Shad she is still traumatized because of her father's death we can't interfere now but we will interact with her in the future when she is adult....do you understand Shad?
Shad: (sighs) Yes I understand Irene I just want to help Aaron win her heart like how I won yours Irene I see the way they look at each other it reminds me of us when we were younger.
Irene:(Blushes) Oh Shad that's really sweet of you.
(Back to the real world ps they were in Sam's mind scape)
Laurence: Heh, it's great to see you, too. You seem more... jumpy than usual.
Samantha: I do? Huh, well, that's probably because I had a really crazy weekend! Hehe!
Laurence: Really? Want to talk about it?
Samantha: Sorry Laurence I don't feel comfortable talking about it. Heh! And I rather talk about your weekend.
Laurence: S-Sure.
(They walk to school. The screen fades, then comes up on them taking in front of the school)
Samantha: Sounds like you had a crazy weekend. Soccer practice sounds brutal.
Laurence: Yeah, but I like it. By the way, Garroth told me you were into soccer.
Samantha: He did?
Laurence: Yeah. You should have told me sooner.
Samantha:Sorry it never really crossed my mind Laurence. Did Garroth tell you anything else?
Laurence: Just that, really. And that you played soccer at the park with his brothers. Next time invite me. I'd love to come and school you.
Samantha: Heh, you know, I'm not that bad at the game myself.
Laurence: Yeah, but you've never gone up against a captain before. Uh, speaking of which, I have to get going to the field. We have a game this weekend and team's getting first period off to practice.
Samantha: Then you'd better get going. Don't want you to slack off.
Laurence: Heheh, thanks. We're still on for that match though, right?
Samantha: Heh, for sure. See you, Laurence, good luck!
Laurence: Thanks, beautiful. (He turns and walks away. In the background, Gene is walking towards Samantha)
Samantha: Heheh. (Sighs) Oh Laurence. Really love him as a big brother figure. (By this point, Gene is right behind Samantha)
Gene:(Using a baby voice) Aww! Isn't that cute? (Back to his normal voice) Laurence seems to really have a thing for you.
Samantha: Huh? Oh hi Gene how are you doing?
Gene: It's kinda sweet how he waits to walk you to school.
Samantha: Yeah I guess you can say that but Hmph I'm not supposed to talk to you!
Gene: Still don't want to talk to me because of Laurence? When are you going to learn to think for yourself?
Samantha: I am thinking for myself Gene! I don't want to talk to you because I want to get into a good college one day and you guys don't care about your own education! Give me one reason why I should give you the time of day.
Gene: Because, I know you have a crush on Aaron and you're hiding something from Laurence you don't want him to know about.
Samantha:(Face goes red at the mention of Aaron's name) Shut up I don't know what you're talking about (is blushing really hard)
Gene: But, if you don't want to talk to me, then I'll just be on my way.
Samantha: W-wait! What do you know?
Gene: Meet me by the lockers at the far end of the school in fifteen minutes.
Samantha: What?! I can't do that! I'll be late to class Gene!
Gene: Fine! I guess you don't really care if Laurence finds out about what you're trying to hide from him.
Samantha: I do care!
Gene: Then do like I asked. See you then, freshman.
Samantha: What does he want?
(The screen fades, then comes up on Samantha, waiting in the designated area. The bell rings, announcing the start of class)
Samantha:(Growls like a werewolf) Where the heck is he? Maybe I can get to class in time if he hurries up.
Gene: I like to take my time.
Samantha:(annoyed) Gene! I'm here. Now what do you want to show me?!
Gene: Hey, calm down. What's the rush? We've got some time to just to get to know each other and talk.
Samantha: Ha! Unlike you, I actually care about my education.
Gene: Oh, I care about my education. They just don't what I want to learn. Now, let me- (Sees Aaron walking down the hallway, and the background music changes) Huh? You. Come to start something?
Aaron: Ugh, I don't start fights.
Gene: So why don't you just keep walking?
Aaron: Heh, you should consider doing the same.
Gene: Walking is so two minutes ago for me.
Aaron: So is that stupid hair cut.
Samantha: Pfft... Hahaha oh my Irene Aaron pfft hahaha.
Aaron:(He smiles a little bit when he hears her laugh)
Gene: Back off, or I'll make you regret saying that.
Aaron:(to Samantha) Why don't you run, you dumb potato?
Samantha: Hey don't call me that Aaron! (Blushes at the stupid nickname)
Aaron: (stick's he tongue out in a teasing way) Make me you stupid potato!
Samantha: Ugh oh my Irene Aaron! Really?
Aaron:(to Gene) I need to talk to this stupid potato in a moment and I want to talk to her alone.
Gene:(to Aaron) Fine I'll give you guys privacy whispers in Sam's ear *but don't take to long or else* (Sam flinch's and Aaron heard him say that and Gene leaves)
Aaron's:(His eyes turn red and he growls) That Mother fucker!!!!
Samantha: (her eyes widened and she immediately embraced him to calm him down) Aaron calm down he's not going to do anything to me.
Aaron:(eyes still red) But he threatened you he scared you and why are you with him (in head I already know because Shad told me but I want you to tell me)
Samantha:(immediately realizes that Gene knows what happened last night and she begins to cry and sake) He's going to blackmail me he is going to tell Laurence that Garroth stole my first kiss Aaron I don't know what to do Aaron.
Aaron:(his eyes return to normal and he hugs her) *thinking* (dam you Gene Sam is the most kind and pure hearted person in the world you messed with the ultima's mate) (Sighs) Hey hey no bunny plz don't cry I'm gonna do anything in my power to help you I love you too much to see you sad (realizes he unintentionally confessed his feelings for her and Blushes hard) I MEAN AS A FRIEND!
Samantha:(stops crying and starts to laugh) Haha you always find a way to make me smile thank you Aaron (Kisses him on the cheek)
Aaron:(blushes) I promise you that I will help you but I will have to talk to my dad and to get permission from him for something.
Samantha:(looks at him confused) What do you mean Aaron?
Aaron: I- (gets interrupted by Gene)
Gene: What's taking you so long!
Samantha: I um.
Aaron: Fine, do what you want. (He walks off) (Music goes back to normal)
Samantha: I will!
Gene: Wow, stood up to the notorious delinquent. Heh, I had no idea you could get so feisty. This is going to be fun.
Samantha:*thinking* (Aaron is not a delinquent he is my childhood best friend he is imitating to some people but he is a nice guy and I love him I ooooh I really want to smack this guy in the face) Just, shut up and tell me what you want!
Gene: I want to show you this.(He shows her a picture of her and Garroth kissing)
Samantha: Where did you get that?!
Gene: Man, Garroth is like his best friend. Sasha told me she overheard Laurence telling Garroth how much he likes you too. Such a shame Garroth did this to him. I just wanted to show you this before I showed Laurence.
Samantha: What?! No! D-Don't!
Gene: Hm? Well, let's make a deal, then. I won't show this to Laurence as long as you tell no one about this! And, you become my pawn.
Samantha: I-(bell rings)
Gene: Huh, that's the late bell. Tell you what, we'll finish this conversation later. Meet me and my gang at lunch outside. (Starts walking away)
Samantha: Outside?! But-But we're not allowed to-
Gene: (Yelling from half way down the hall) I'll be waiting! (Continues walking down the hallway)
Samantha: H-He can't be serious. This can't be happening! (She runs off to class)
(The screen fades and comes up on Samantha, walking outside trying to find the Shadow Knights)
Samantha: Ugh, (Comes around the corner and sees them) huh, (Sighs). (She walks over) I'm here, Gene.
Gene: Look at you, acting like a bad girl already.
Sasha: I like this new look for her. It would be nice not to be the only female member of this group.
Zenix: Can't stand the pressure, Sasha?
Sasha: I can't stand your face, Zenix.
Zenix: Shut up, you love me.
Sasha: I'm not that desperate.
Zenix: Same.
Gene: Quiet, you two. You're going to scare away our little fish. Sorry about that. Uh, what's your name again?
Samantha:(sighs) My name is Samantha, Gene I would of thought you'd at least remember that.
(They'll all quiet for a bit)
Gene: I don't like it.
Sasha: Too hard to pronounce.
Zenix: You should give her a nickname, Gene.
Samantha: Huh?
Gene: Hm, well, earlier today she stood up to that Aaron guy, so, she's got claws. Let's call her kitty.
Samantha:*thinking* (No no only Aaron can call me cute nicknames) What?! Oh heck no don't ever ever call me kitty the only person who can call me that is (Blushes) *whispers to herself* is Aaron because he likes me for me.
Sasha: Heh, I actually like that. A pet's name.
Zenix: Sasha and Kitty. I like it, it's got the acronym for SK.
Samantha: I'm right here you know I don't appreciate being forced to be here against my will I don't even like Garroth or Laurence like that I love them as my brothers so WHY AM I YOUR FAVORITE PLAY THING TO PLAY WITH I'M MY OWN PERSON?! YOU CAN'T USE ME AS A SICK PAWN TO YOUR SICK MOTHER FUCKING GAMES!!!!!!! (Begins to tear up)
Gene: Hm? That sounds like the tone of someone who wants me to show Laurence a certain picture that would destroy his friendship with his best friend.
Samantha: UGH!!! (Inhales, then exhales)
Gene: Face it, Kitty. I have the upper hand in the situation here. And I'm going to make you into a member of my gang.
Samantha: No way I would never ever join you you are manipulative Asshole I would rather jump out the window in Werewolf class than get involved with the likes of you!!!!!
Gene: Oh, no? Why don't you tell Laurence what happened between you and Garroth, then?
Samantha:(Is really really angry) ITS NONE OF HIS BUSINESS GENE I THOUGHT YOU WERE A NICE PERSON BUT APPARENTLY I WAS WRONG WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gene: Tell that to his face, then. Look behind you.
(Samantha turns around and sees Laurence standing a little ways off, looking at her)
Samantha: Huh, what the- (Sees him) Ah!
Laurence: Samantha!
Samantha: Laurence! Where did you come from?
Laurence: Is Gene bothering you?
Samantha: N-No!
Laurence: We just finished a quick pickup game, and I saw you over here.
Samantha: Uh.?
Laurence: Come on, Samantha, Let's Go. You don't want to be around Gene.
Gene: She's actually okay with being around us. Tell him, Kitty.
Laurence: Huh?
Samantha: Yeah I'm fine being around Gene because he isn't such a bad guy once you get to know him.
Laurence: What?!
Gene: You heard her. She's actually been a really nice gal, I think I'm starting to see the errors of my ways because of her.
Laurence: ...Really? Well, she is a really sweet girl, so if you're helping Gene, I'm glad to hear that!
Gene: Yup! In fact, she came out here to tell us to get back inside, I've never been so moved! (He turns around and gestures to the other SK's to follow his example)
Sasha: Huh? Oh, right, we see the errors of our ways. Hehe!
Zenix: Oh, how could we have been so blind?
Gene: Here Kitty, take my phone number and text me later- I might need help with my homework after school. Go on with Laurence. We'll see you around later.
Samantha: Huh, uh, um,...
Gene: I can just picture our friendship blossoming now! Hahahaha!
Samantha: Heh, Um, okay. Come on Laurence! Heh! Uh,
Laurence: That's the first time someone has managed to make it through to Gene. You're really amazing.
Samantha: Heh oh don't mention it Laurence, um we should get to class. Heheh!
Laurence: Yeah!
(The screen and comes up on Samantha walking to meet up with Gene after school)
Samantha: Wait is this where you want us to meet up Gene?!
Gene: Yeah, I need a favor of you.
Samantha: And what's that Gene?
Gene: Meet my mom.
Samantha: WHAT?!
Gene: She's coming to pick me up.
Samantha: Your mom?! Why?! Wait, that means Dante's mom, too?
Gene: No duh. Dante and I are brothers. Thankfully, Dante's sick today at home, so he won't be here to ask questions about you.
Samantha: Why do you want me to meet your mom Gene?
Gene: My mom knows Sasha and Zenix, and she isn't too fond of them for obvious reasons. I want to show her I know a good egg in school, so she can stop pestering me with her worrying. I'm tired of hearing her say, "I don't want my son hanging out around bad eggs."
Samantha: But you are a bad person you are literally blackmailing me to do your bidding!!!
Gene: Exactly. Hm? Oh, here she comes. Put on your best goody two shoes act or this picture will find it's way to Laurence.
Samantha: UGH!!!!
(Gene walks over to his mom (Maria))
Maria: Hi, Gene.
Gene: Mom.
Maria: Hmm? Who's this proper looking little friend of yours?
Gene: She's my really good friend with amazing grades I've been hanging out with.
Samantha: It's really nice to meet you, Mrs.Gene's mom. My name is Samantha.
Maria: Oh Gene, honey, She's absolutely adorable! I didn't realize you were capable of making friends outside of your little club.
Gene: It's actually a gang, Mom, but whatever.
Maria: Do you need a ride home, sweetheart?
Samantha:(Gene shakes his head at her) No thanks! I can walk myself home Mam my mom is probably worried about me and have a good night.
Maria: Proper and smart? I'm impressed. Gene, I'm so proud of you for finally hanging out with someone in a good crowd. Now say goodbye to your little friend. We've got mother and son dance lessons to go to.
Gene: (sighs) Thanks, Mom.
Samantha: Woah, dance lessons?
Gene: Listen to me, little kitty. If you say anything about what she just said, I'll make sure the entire school sees this picture. Just remember who holds the cards here, kitty. Heheheh. (He gets into the car and they drive away)
Samantha: Oh, this is bad, like this is really bad.
