-The Next day-

-Spinels POV-

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, I groaned and turned it off. I just layed there on my bed, staring at the ceiling, after a while I checked the time on my phone it was 6:54 am I finally got out of bed not trying to wake up Axel. I went into the bathroom brushed my teeth and took a 15 minute shower, once I was done I went back to the bedroom and changed into a black shirt with a upside down heart in the middle, some ripped jeans, and some Black combat boots. I finished dressing myself and looked at axel he was still sleeping, I went over to his side of the bed and woke him up, I shaked him "axel, wake up it's the first day of school." Finally axel woke up, he groaned, he got up and went into the bathroom to do his business. I sighed, I went to living room and started blow drying my hair, finally my hair was dry and I  put my hair into 2 pigtails, I checked what time it was 7:28 Axel finally came out of the bathroom, he got dressed into a black plain shirt with grey ripped jeans and some black yeezys. I entered the bathroom and started doing my makeup, I put on eyeliner with some black faded eyeshadow, and some lipgloss. Once I was done putting on my make up, I put on my earrings, some were gold and some were black, anyways axel was done he put on his leather jacket and grabbed his black book bag, I put on my leather crop top jacket and grabbed my "book bag" (it was a purse book bag idk if that makes sense XD)  me and axel headed out I checked the time it was 7:56 me and axel headed to school

-At School-

Me and Axel made it school, there was a line to get your schedule so me and Axel headed there, once it was our turn we got our schedule and our locker number, I checked my schedule and I had English/ELA, I don't like English I'm more of a math person, "Um what do you have first period?" I said looking at Axel, he looked back at me "I got math" said Axel "Aw you lucky, I got English" I said looking back at my schedule, Axel then started looking at his schedule again and chuckled, "ima go find my locker ok?" Said axel looking at me, I looked back at him and nodded, Axel then kissed my forehead and walked away. I sighed and started looking for my locker.

-Stevens POV-

I entered Beach City High and i immediately saw Peridot, I ran up to her and waved, Peri saw me and smiled. "Hey Peridot, wanna go get our schedules?" "Hi Steven, and sure!" We both walked to the long line and waited, once we reached the front we got our schedules and locker number, I looked at my schedule and saw that I had English first, "hey peri what do you have first period?" I asked, then Peridot looked at me "I have Science, ha" she then looked back at her schedule. 

-20 minute time skip-

I found my class and I entered it, I immediately saw the girl from  yesterday. She was sitting in the back next to the window she was starring outside the window I can tell she was bored. There was only one seat left, it was in the back 2 seats away from her, I sighed and started walking towards the last seat. I sat down and starting looking around the room until the teacher came into the classroom and spoke "Alright everyone, I'm Sardonyx and I will be your English teacher this school year" she said, the teacher had a British accent and was tall. "We have a new student that came all the way from empire city, Spinel would you please introduce yourself?"  I started looking around to see who Spinel is, until saw her. It was the girl from yesterday she was standing up she looked annoyed "Um I'm Spinel D-Diamond, uh I was born in the Bronx but then I moved to empire city with my mom, after that I moved here to be closer to my f-family." Spinel then sat down but towards the end of her sentence she sounded sad, I wonder why "thank you spinel, This week we will be focusing on reading." Said Sardonyx I glanced at Spinel every chance I had, most of the time she looked bored and tired, but at times she would look worried.

-Time skip to lunch-

I entered the lunch room and I saw Lapis, Peridot and Bismuth. I walked over to them and waved "oh hello Steven" said lapis "Peridot was telling us that she might dye her hair green" said Bismuth "Really peridot, it's not like you to do stuff like that." I said staring at peridot, "Hm, well lapis here told me to do it, only if she does it with me." Said peridot, I rolled my eyes playfully. We all sat down on at a table, after a while of talking Bismuth, lapis, and peridot got in line to get lunch, I didn't go because I wasn't really hungry. I sat there by myself for a good solid 7 minutes until I saw her again, Spinel. She was sitting with a girl, she had blonde hair and her hair was in 2 buns, she was wearing a pink eyepatch over her left, eye and was wearing pink overalls. Soon that girl left Spinel to get lunch so, I went over to Spinel.

-Spinels POV-

I entered the lunch room and I headed towards a table no one was sitting at. I rested my head on top of my arms and watched the students come in. I saw a familiar face, it was my childhood friend Peeps. She walked up to me in excitement, she gasped and sat down next to me "Spinel! It's been so long, how have you been?" Said Peeps before giving me a hug "oh hi, and I'm doing okay, you still visit the diamond right?" I said hugging Peeps, she broke the hug before she spoke "I've been doing great! Yeah I still visit the diamonds, they talk about you a lot and they even mentioned your boyfriend." Said Peeps smiling, I groaned "yeah axel, he's a pain in the ass." I said looking rather annoyed by the topic. "What do you mean by that Spinel? Also where is he anyways?" Said the confused Peeps "Me and Axel have different lunch periods, and what I mean is that he is such a asshole, he beats me and stuff. But whenever we see or visit the diamonds he acts like a "Angel"" I said resting my head on the table. "Oh, but spinel it isn't like you to let people do that." Said peeps "well yeah, but when I'm alone with him, I feel small and weak." I said closing my eyes trying not to cry, peeps just looked at me concerned. "Well, I'm going to get some lunch. I'll be right back" said peeps before heading towards the line, I sighed them I closed my eyes. Then It felt like someone was sitting next to me, I opened my eyes and sat straight it was that same guy from yesterday. "Hey" he said smiling "uh hi?" I said confused, he pulled his hand in front of me "I'm Steven" I shook his hand "I'm spinel?" I was surprised at his actions. Why was he being so nice to me? "Um can I help you with anything?" I said "I want to be friends!" Said Steven smiling at me. I was surprised I didn't even know what to say "I'm sorry but, I don't think you should be around me. You don't know what you are getting yourself into.." I said thinking about what axel would do if he saw me with a guy. Steven frowned a bit, he got a napkin and started writing some numbers before handing it to me  "Here, text me if you change your mind" he said smiling at me, I sighed before grabbing it he smiled at me before waving. I waved back as he walked away
