Bad Idea?-Tam's POV
A/N: So I've made some edits to this story because I realized that the path I'm planning on going is better for the story than the original one. So here is the new update!
As I gazed at the ingredients surrounding us, I was starting to think this was a bad idea.
"Uh... Sophie?"
"Yes?"
"Why do you have so many cans and everything?"
Keefe was rolling on around on the kitchen counter, and I swear, he's going to make the first mess of the day.
Sophie flushed.
"I need a lot of ingredients because I mess up so often..."
Ah. Her honesty.
I know it's not something she's known for, but with me, she always tells the truth. I'm not sure why though.
Sophie's a liar with basically everyone else.
I hate to call her out on it, but she isn't very upfront about anything.
Least of all Fitz.
I'm not blind.
She's got a huge crush on the guy, but she's trying to get over it, because Linh and Fitz are dating.
It kind of just, happened, you know?
Keefe tried to pick her up after that, but she wasn't having anything to do with guys for awhile.
Though I felt bad for Sophie, Linh was happy, and it's always good when "Mr. Good-Looking" gets jacked. Especially by me. Which is why earlier I--- Nope. Not selling him out now.
Anyways, it meant that I could pursue Biana, and Fitz couldn't really say anything. Right?
"Tam? You're spacing out."
Sophie's voice cleared my thoughts, and I turned to her.
"Oops. Sorry. It happens sometimes. Linh's used to it, so I guess I don't notice it so often."
Shrugging, Sophie turned towards Keefe, who was doing something....
He caught my eye and his face twisted into something indistinguishable.
Flustered, I snatched the can that was teetering dangerously close to the edge away from him, and accidentally brushed his fingers.
Now that was a dumb move, especially with Mr. Empath over here.
Keefe smirked, and opened his big mouth.
"Tam, what was that I felt? What it embarr---"
I snarled at him.
"Shut up if you know what's good for you. It was hatred and disgust."
His eyes widened, and he took a slight step back.
"Hey, just trying to lighten up the mood here."
We both turned to look at Sophie, who was staring at us.
Her eyes narrowed, and they darted back and forth between the two of us.
Chuckling nervously, I glared at the can Keefe was just holding.
Snorting, Sophie walked over and took the can from me.
Rolling her eyes, she blatantly stated, "Tam. Can opener. You can't open a can with your glare, no matter how hard you hate at it."
I was startled.
Where did all this sass come from?
Looking at her a little more closely, I took it back from her, and smiled.
I also took the can opener that was conveniently right next to me and pried open the can.
Giving me an equal smile of 110% wattage, Sophie took the opened can from me and dumped it into a clear bowl.
I silently handed her another can she had pointed to that I had opened, and we got busy, not really speaking.
Occasionally, we bumped hands, or reached for something at the same time, but it didn't get too awkward, or messy.
Except for Keefe. He somehow spilled a whole can of this really sweet milk on his cloak. Condensed milk I think it was?
Ugh.
There was a reason why I hate his guts. Maybe. I think.
"You don't hate Keefe?"
Uh oh.
A/N: Much better. And I will edit the next part too. :P
