...Aadhya's P.O.V.....
I stormed back home, and the moment I entered my house my mom burst out laughing.
He my my
"Thanks Mom!" I muttered.
"Finally who had the guts to colour you?" She asked in between her laughs.
She very well knew I hated Holi but I hated that moron of a Hukum more now.
I royally ignored mom walking back to my room crossing dad on the way only to see him hysterically laughing.
I freshen up and changed into shorts and an over sized tee that basically covered my shorts and completed a few of my professional commitments.
It was I guess around 9 when I heard my mom calling me for dinner.
I walked downstairs to find my mom alone on the dining table.
"Where's Dad?" I enquired when she informed that he has something urgent come up and he had to visit his office, she also informed me that she'll be heading out too owing to an emergency at her friends. Nodding I focused on my mom's amazing culinary skills.
Completing our dinner we moved towards our room and since there was nothing better to do I decided to sleep because it seemed like a sane idea.
No! It wasn't.
Because as soon as sleep took over me, it all came back.
I tossed and turned trying to wake up, but a little part of me wanted to see it all again. The colours, the laughter. Someone running behind me. My heart felt heavy and it became difficult to breathe.
I woke up shouting, sweating all over, sobbing hysterically.
"Mom! Maa! Daddd!" I screamed only to remember that no one was home.
I tried finding my phone shivering.
I needed him. He was my solace, he has held me all through out over the years.
The calls went unanswered I tried calling again and It rang thrice, before he answered.
"Dad! Dad, it's all coming back! He's coming back! Dad! I can't breathe! Dad please do something! Save me Dad!" I sobbed.
"Ranisa!" I heard from the other side. Acknowledging his voice I hung up immediately.
I tried getting up to get my medicines.
It's been a while since I had these attacks.
The laughter still echoing. The hassle in my feet didn't support the situation resulting in fall.
I held my feet in pain. It was becoming extremely difficult to manage anymore when I heard the door opening.
....Rajveer's P.O.V. ....
We were in the middle of a very important meeting when I heard someone's phone ringing.
We were about to lose a big deal and had only three hours to get our game straight. And the phone ringing wasn't helping.
I banged my hand harshly against the table scaring my team. They all looked scared, when Tanishq pointed out.
"It's Rathore Sir's phone."
He must have forgotten it here, I asked a teammate to look out for him but it kept on ringing continuously, I moved towards the phone flipping it to be caught by the most beautiful eyes.
The caller screen displayed her picture, a face I couldn't get off my mind for a couple of days. Every time I closed my eyes, the same beautiful green eyes captivated my mind.
Breaking my riverie a helper informed me that Rathore Uncle had left hastily for the deal we were here for and wasn't reachable currently.
Having no other option I decided to pickup the call.
"Dad! Dad, it's all coming back! He's coming back! Dad! I can't breathe! Dad please do something! Save me Dad!" She sobbed breaking my heart unknowingly.
"Ranisa!" I breathed out fisting my hands.
Her sobs evoked something within me which I couldn't rightly point out.
It was unbearable.
Before I could say something else the line went dead. Simultaneously Shourya walked in informing me that everything was ready and we needed to leave right now for the meeting.
My work meant everything to me after my family but her sobs just wouldn't leave my mind. I picked my blazer moving towards Shourya.
"I am trusting you with this!" I informed him to mention how he had to manage the meeting. He was flabbergasted. If it was some other day, I would have had my field day laughing off his reaction.
I just couldn't wait anymore so I picked both our phones and ran towards my car.
On my way I tried calling her, but she just Didn't pick my call only to adverse my aghast.
I haven't driven rashly ever but the urge to reach her surpassed every logic today.
I ran out of my car banging the door only to be welcomed by a helper I assume who looked shocked on my arrival.
I asked her Aadhya's room and without a word she motioned towards the room on the first floor.
I ran towards her room only to find her room locked.
I knocked twice but the third time I just pushed opened it resulting in breaking the latch only to be welcomed by pitch black darkness. My worry was heightened I have no idea why I couldn't think straight.
My first move should have been to look out for Rathore uncle and inform him about it but it was killing me not to hold her after her sobs.
"Ranisa!" I called out only to be answered by muffled sobs. I moved towards the voice only to find her curled near the bed holding her feet and both with one hand each.
"Aadhya!" I called kneeling immediately. I held her while she struggled to free herself.
I reached for the light switch behind her brightening the room only to be broken again. She looked devastated.
I fought her resistance and hugged her trying to calm her down.
"Aadhya! I am here! I am here!" I tried soothing her patting her hair and kissing her crown. Surprisingly she stopped resisting breaking down even more badly.
"Aadhya bus Karo, meri jaan nikal jayegi!" I remarked not realising what it meant but all I knew was it was true.
It was killing me to see her like this.
"Aap humse lad le, jhagadle bus royein mat!" I almost begged. She held my shirt in her tiny fists, hiding herself in my chest.
I tried making her stand only for her to hiss. I looked at her left ankle that seemed swollen.
"Do you have any prescribed medicines?" I asked her holding both her hands as we sat on the floor again since she couldn't get up. She nodded pointing towards her handbag. I settled her down safely trying to get up when she held my hand.
"Please don't go!" She begged. I can bet on it that she hasn't realised who I am or else she would still be shouting on what a moron I am.
"I am right her Ranisa!" I stated moving towards her bag, I picked the glass of water on her side table giving it to her along with her medicines.
She gulped it down hurriedly, all this while holding my hand. Her nails leaving marks all over my arms.
I held her again muttering soothing words to her.
Within minutes she was fine. She realised our closeness and distanced herself from me. I immediately missed her warmth.
She tried to get up again some what embarrassed but hissed due to the pressure on her ankle.
I immediately picked her up placing her on the bed as of she was the most fragile being.
"I am sorry!" She apologized.
"No worries!" I replied suddenly not knowing what to do with my hands anymore. I missed holding her. I shoved my hands in my pockets not exactly knowing what to do next.
She looked at me expectantly trying to find answers of her unasked questions.
I remembered suddenly forwarding her Rathore uncle's phone.
"He left it in the office!" I informed and she nodded.
"Aap ja sakte hai! I won't waste anymore of your time!" She spoke for the first time in a while simultaneously Rathore uncle entered running. Only if she knew every second spent with her meant way more than she could ever imagine. I had asked Amrit, my assistant to inform him immediately and he came here before I could imagine.
He seemed dangerously scared.
He ran immediately towards his daughter hugging her.
"I am fine dad!" She stated when uncle pulled her hands checking something. It's then I noticed slit marks on her wrists. Something in me died seeing those marks.
She nodded negatively motioning towards me.
Rathore uncle corrected his stature moving towards me joining his hands.
"I can't Thank you enough, Hukum!" He appreciated.
"You don't have to thank me for anything uncle." I replied covering his hands with mine
Having no other option I decided to leave even though it was the last thing I wanted to do.
I left the house but I couldn't help myself out of her neighbourhood.
I parked my car right outside her window towards the back of their house.
I could see her silhouette moving in the dim light, calming my inner turmoil.
I have no idea when sleep took over me.
