Chapter 4
It had now been over a week since Brooklyn, now Ravage, had lived with Thailog in Gen-U-Tech. The manipulation was much easier than Thailog had anticipated but he grew to like it over time.
He had Sevarius set up a room where Ravage could train and test his strength to do the tasks of stealing things for his pleasure and went to bring Ravage his meal before taking him to the new gym.
Ravage was just sitting on his bed in his room, his head feeling really clouded. During his stone sleep, he kept imagining two other gargoyles with him. One green and one blue but couldn't quite recognize them. Ravage hoped they weren't in the family who had abused him since hatching like Thailog said, wrapping his arms around his legs until there was a knock on his door.
"Come in," Ravage said in a small voice, seeing the door open, revealing his 'father' carrying a plate of food. Thailog smiled at him.
"Good evening, my little child. You should eat up since I have a surprise that could keep you busy and entertained." He invited, setting the plate down on the bed.
Ravage looked at his food which was pretty much the same one he had had before, the chicken and noodles. "I would like that, Father," he said with a weak grin, taking the plate.
Furrowing his brow, Thailog knew there was something bothering his puppet, hoping it wasn't a sign of the memories returning to Brooklyn. "I sense something bothering you. Is that right?" He sat down next to Ravage, a hand around his shoulder.
The red gargoyle swallowed but nodded. "Yeah. I keep dreaming about being around other gargoyles but, they weren't mean, mostly just flying side by side. Were they a part of my family?" Ravage asked curiously.
It made Thailog tense, knowing he had to say something to keep his mind off of that. "Yes, they probably were. But don't let those dreams fool you, little cherry. I won't let anything happen to you." Thailog purred, holding up Ravage's chin. His eyes glazed over in hypnosis again just from hearing that word in his ears.
"Alright, M-master," Ravage mumbled, enjoying feeling Thailog's hug around his shoulder, and his rich chuckle in his ears. Thailog stroked his hair. "Good hatchling. Now would you like to see what I have for fun for you?"
Ravage wound up nodding in his eagerness, allowing Thailog to guide him there once finishing his food. He had been starving since waking up and now his belly felt nice and full.
The two of them walked down the hallway led by Sevarius until he opened the door. Thailog grinned when seeing his slave's eyes widening in awe and amazement.
There were tons of weights, a treadmill, and plenty of beating bags along with another door leading into a room to exercise his gliding. Ravage swished his tail in excitement. "Oh, this is amazing, Father!" He gasped, running in to check out everything.
Sevarius couldn't help the chuckle inside him. "He certainly is spunky," he laughed, Thailog winding up agreeing with his 'father' seeing Ravage going to look at one of the punching bags there in the room. "It is all yours, my child. Whenever you feel stressed or just want to exercise for the tasks I have in mind for you, this will be your go to room to do just that."
It made Ravage smile, going to suddenly hug Thailog. "You're the best, Father!" He exclaimed, Thailog rubbing his back gently.
"Yes, my cherry. And you are a good hatchling." Thailog said sweetly but evilly, Brooklyn's head growing woozy from hypnosis once more, losing his memories even further of his old life. "Now, how about we start with you attacking that punching bag over there?"
Ravage's eyes blinked, unsure if he really wanted to, but if it was to defend himself, he would be willing to for the sake of pleasing his rescuer. Gulping, Ravage walked up to the punching bag, giving it a rather weak punch, Thailog huffing, rolling his eyes.
"Is that really all you got in you?" Thailog scoffed, folding his bulk arms, disappointed that having amnesia apparently removes any fighting skills this one used to have, Ravage going rather red, stomach hot. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He begged.
Thailog's eyes glowed red, getting closer, knowing now that this wasn't a situation to be all nice. He lifted up Ravage's beak, who stared at him in fear. "Attack that punching bag with everything you got, or else you'll be punished. This rule sets for when you are on any of your missions for me!" He hissed, making Ravage stare into his glowing red eyes.
Ravage trembled all over from this new side of his new father, nodding timidly after Thailog let him go. "A-Alright, alright." He gasped, turning back to the punching bag then attempting another big punch, which was much harder than the last one, sending it swinging back pretty far, Thailog grinning in satisfaction. "Better. Do it again."
Setting his teeth, Ravage punched the bag once again, grunting from the effort since his strength needed to be back up again, panting heavily, doing several more punches from Thailog's orders. Adrenaline rushed through Ravage's mind, Thailog starting to goad him on further. "Punch it, think of how your family abused you. Imagine you're punching them, cherry!" Thailog snarled.
It caused the mind wiped gargoyle's eyes to glaze over again, eventually glowing a bright white from the fake rage Thailog had implanted into his subconscious, snarling and feeling his fists ram the bag even more violently, until another urge came out, his talons slashing the bag, sand spilling down to the floor from it. Ravage even pounced on the punching bag and ripping it apart with his fangs, until he noticed Thailog watching him.
Spitting out the piece of the bag, Ravage felt his emotions settle again. "Uh, did-did I do okay?" He asked, standing up and smoothing his hair again.
Thailog now smiled with pride. "Now that's more like it, Ravage. At least you are still able to defend yourself. Come on over here."
Ravage walked up slowly to Thailog, who put a hand on his shoulder, his gentle smile back up on his face now. "You're quite the fighter that I need. But now it is time to test your gliding. And before you say anything, you can glide." Thailog explained before Ravage tried to complain. It made the red one look a bit excited now, wanting to learn how to fly.
The two males soon went into another room that Sevarius' men had organized to help Ravage out with his gliding though rather reluctantly on their part. When Thailog opened the doors for the exercise room, Ravage gasped in awe.
Inside were all sorts of jumping pedestals as well as fans to use to help give him lift, and the pedestals lined the area everywhere. He was eager to try them all out, but still was nervous, afraid to fall. "Thailog, I-I'm afraid that I won't be able to stay in the air, that I will fall." He said shakily before Thailog gave him an encouraging smile.
"That is your lack of confidence keeping you grounded, my little one. I will be there to catch you if you fall." He assured Ravage eventually nodding, as the fans started up, he climbed up on one of the pedestals, shaking all over.
Thailog watched him from below, nodding at him to start gliding. Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, Ravage spread his wings, and took off, feeling the wind from the fans suddenly catch his wings, lifting him high up in the air suddenly.
Ravage cried out from the feeling, almost losing his focus on gliding. "Don't fight the wind!" Roared Thailog from below.
The words filled Ravage with a sense of calm and confidence, spreading his wings further, and trying some turning in the air, which wasn't so bad, landing on the first pedestal. A big grin appeared on his beak. "Whoa, I-I did it!" He cheered, glancing at his long wingspan which he was now grateful for.
"Jump to the next one!" Thailog demanded, which looked even higher. Ravage this time didn't feel nervous, grinning, spreading them out, and taking off. Thailog then had an idea, nodding to Sevarius in the control room which had Sevarius turn up the wind speed to feel like a storm was going on.
The younger gargoyle gasped from the burst of wind speed, flapping his wings and trying to be balanced and reach the pedestal, but the winds turned out to be too strong; causing Ravage to cry out, falling down in fear until Thailog caught him.
"It would seem your wings aren't strong enough, my little one," Thailog then stated, Ravage flushing again. He wanted to get better. He wanted to glide.
"Will I be able to glide outside after the training? I want to see the city." He begged after Thailog set him down on the ground. It was getting close to sunrise.
That made the dark clone tense up. "I don't think so, cherry. You are not ready. It is safe in here for you until your training has improved." He said firmly but hypnotically, the word trigging Ravage into bliss again while Thailog stroked his cheek. "Okay, y-you know best," he mumbled, ears fallen in disappointment, but he couldn't disobey him.
"Your time will come for a mission. But for now, continue to behave while you live here, hmm?" Thailog asked gently, Ravage trembling from Thailog's touch, nodding weakly. Thailog soon took Ravage back to his room to recover.
Ravage sat on the bed after. "Thanks for the lessons, Thailog. I think I'm gonna like having you as a father." He said, grinning lightly.
Thailog inclined his head slightly then left Ravage with his thoughts until the sun came up and changed him to stone. But the stone sleep still wouldn't bring back Ravage's memories, which would prove difficult for the clan to figure out.
He remained there on his bed, holding his legs and looking out his barred window, wishing to see more sights from beyond Gen-U-Tech, hoping he could trust his new father Thailog about everything, tears coming to Ravage's eyes when 'remembering' his clan abusing him, right as the sun changed him and Thailog.
