Chapter 3
During the near end of the day, Sevarius had his chef make some food for their guest for when the gargoyles woke up that night, still eager to test out how a gargoyle with amnesia would be. Especially with one who didn't have any real memory of how he got to be in modern times at all.
On his way to see them, he heard the roaring of the beasts in the medical room, spotting Brooklyn, now Ravage, yawning and stretching, Thailog doing the same thing.
Ravage rubbed his eyes, still finding it weird that he couldn't see the sun before he turned to stone, seeing Thailog there again but this time not as intimidated as before, Thailog giving him a welcoming smile that was really a fake one.
"Good evening. I trust you had a pleasant stone sleep?" Thailog asked his new puppet, who nodded.
"Does every gargoyle do this too besides me?" Ravage questioned as Thailog replied. "Yes, we do. It heals any kind of light injury we may get when fighting too."
That was when Ravage felt his stomach rumble, putting a hand on it, his already red cheeks flushing, making Thailog chuckle from the sound. His prisoner was probably famished.
"I suppose you are quite hungry, hm? Well, I'm sure Sevarius will have something for you to eat, don't you, Doctor?" He asked his 'father,' who nodded, sending a signal for the food to be brought in, which was some chicken and noodles. Ravage caught a nice scent that only made him feel even more hungry, spotting the food, licking his lips.
Thailog took the tray, handing it to him. "You will only get this food if you swear loyalty to your new clan leader. Right, little one?" Thailog suddenly asked, knowing food would be one of the many bribes he would use to get the red gargoyle to submit.
Ravage nodded. "I-I will." He said, reaching lightly for the tray, which Thailog placed onto his lap. Ravage eyed the food in curiosity and nervousness, poking at it. "Is this safe for me to eat?" He asked Thailog.
The dark clone smiled in the most serene way he could. "I assure you; the food is not poisoned or bad. Go on. Eat up so we can get to your room."
Swallowing a little, the red male took up his fork, glancing at it for a time before soon taking some of the food on the fork, taking a bite. His eyes lit up at the taste before going to eat even more rather fast. It was so good!
"Wow, I-I'm glad I can eat, since I've never tasted this before!" He gulped, Thailog chuckling at his enthusiasm. "But make sure you don't eat too much, or you'll get a gut ache."
Ravage flushed redder than his skin from those words from his new leader, trying his best to eat slowly now. "So, what happens now? And what about my old family?"
Thailog held up his dark hand. "One question at a time, little one. First, you have to see your new room, depending on if you're done eating."
After swallowing his last bite, then having another drink from his serum filled juice, Ravage nodded. "Yeah, I'm done now, Thailog. I want to see my room."
Soon, the black clone nodded after Ravage sat down his tray on the bedside table, allowing his new leader to help him to his feet. Ravage trembled, for he felt like he never walked before, Thailog gently holding his hand and shoulder. For now, Thailog himself would be gentle but punish Brooklyn if necessary, teaching him how to make his first steps.
"You can do it, just put one foot in front of the other like me." Thailog instructed with a fake kind smile, putting his own foot in front, then walking normally. Ravage licked his lips before trying to copy his movements, eventually not feeling too awkward, glad he could walk.
Thailog too knew Ravage would be too weak to glide yet since he was obviously still learning how to relearn basic skills of walking and eating. But he knew inside this would be fun playing with this younger gargoyle's mentality, wondering if his clan would get to meet him in his erased mind state.
After going down some hallways and Ravage getting more used to walking by himself, Thailog soon found a room that would suffice his new puppet, opening it for him. "Here you are Ravage, your very own room for your privacy."
Upon entering the room, Ravage's eyes widened when seeing it. All that was in there was a bed and a chair. There were windows but Thailog would have Sevarius reinforce those later while they all were in stone sleep.
"I... Thank you Thailog. I'm happy to not sleep around doctors anymore." Ravage said, his ears still a little low but perking up more now that he had his own space, testing the bed.
Thailog smiled. "Usually, us gargoyles have no need for beds, but you can use it in case you get sick or you're just tired. But don't you think about trying to get out of those windows, since you do want to live with me, right?"
Ravage tensed from his words but nodded, swishing his tail. "Yes, I do. I never ever want to meet with my old clan. Ever."
It had the dark clone nod in his direction. "Very good, which means doing tasks that I desire of you. Some of it requires the use of fighting since this world is full of dangers besides your clan." He informed his puppet.
Ravage's eyes dilated for a brief moment before it calmed down again. "But I don't know how to fight." He complained, not sure if he wanted to fight at all, the beaked male wrapping his arms around himself.
Thailog put an arm and a wing around him, possibly how Goliath would at times. "No fears, little one. We were born to fight. I can have Sevarius set us up a gym with fighting equipment. Gliding sessions will be in order too. But get some rest for now until then, alright?"
Ravage complied to his words while accepting his wing hug, not feeling so alone now, happy that he had another gargoyle to not abuse him. But then, his curiosity struck. "Thailog, where, where is your mother and father? Don't you have those?"
Those words caused Thailog to give him a stern gaze. "Such questions like that aren't allowed. The only supportive person I rely on is myself and sometimes the doctor."
Sighing, the red gargoyle nodded, after Thailog released him from his hug. "I shall leave you now to be settled in. I have to speak to our doctor about some important business." Thailog claimed, while Ravage sat there on his bed, looking over to the locked window in curiosity after Thailog closed it.
Thailog, on his way back to the experiment room, knew he had to take even more extreme measures to ensure he didn't lose his puppet. Sure, the serum worked fine, but there had to be something else, something more permanent.
Sevarius was writing down some business papers when Thailog appeared, making him moan and then speak. "So, what do we do with him now?" He asked, putting away his work.
The black clone gave a grin. "I plan to train him personally to obey me and maybe make him steal items like weapons. But, there may need to be one more method into completely making Brooklyn 'Ravage' into completely being my servant. What would you have in mind?"
The mad scientist thought for a time, then came up with something that is normally used. "How about hypnosis? That can be a pretty strong tactic in making sure he doesn't get his memories back too. And this is one of the devices sometimes used."
Sevarius held up a pocket watch for Thailog to take, studying it. "I suppose this could be a good thing to do. And I can already see the looks on the clan's faces when they learn that only I have the power to restore that runt's memories. They would literally beg me to restore them. How I would love to see my dear 'father' beg." Thailog said sadistically. He would pretend to have Brooklyn play a game then trick him into hypnotizing him.
Later that evening, Ravage was sitting on his bed, swishing his tail while sitting there on the mattress, wondering what was going to happen to him, hugging his legs and looking about in fright, hoping his rescuer will come back to console him.
Then, the door to his room was knocked on, and Ravage glanced up at the sight of Thailog. He was slowly getting used to Thailog's looks now, almost like an imprinting since he owed Thailog his life who saved him from his abusive family.
"Come on, little one. I have a surprise for you." Grinned Thailog, trying not to look intimidating again in front of the beaked gargoyle, who quickly stood up, following the dark gargoyle out. "What is it?" Ravage asked in curiosity, walking beside him as they entered the exam room again.
Thailog had Ravage sit down on a chair that Sevarius put out for the hypnosis. "Just a game I came up with for us to play so we can get to know each other better. Clans usually have games for the young ones I've heard." Thailog claimed, winking at Sevarius, who nodded.
Ravage liked the idea of bonding with his rescuer further, sitting down in the chair like what Thailog told him to do, eager to start the game.
Thailog next pulled out the pocket watch. It was a rather fancy and shiny one which would be perfect to hypnotize Brooklyn, turning to the empty-minded gargoyle. "All the game rules are is to simply follow my watch here."
Ravage tilted his head in confusion, now seeing the item in Thailog's hands, who began to swing it. "Why? Why do I have to watch it? Is there a prize after?" Ravage asked, feeling himself watching the pocket watch a little more, Thailog continuing to sway it in front of his eyes.
The black gargoyle smiled, trying to make his voice sound smooth and hypnotic. "Oh, maybe. But for now, just don't look away. Keep watching it for as long as you can." He said slowly, Ravage's eyes following, now feeling like he can't stop watching it at all.
"It-It is kind of pretty..." Ravage said, eyes glued onto the pocket watch, his head growing still, his eyes still following, Thailog moving closer to his victim. "Yes, it is, isn't it? Such a shiny surface. And it continues going back and forth, back and forth." Thailog purred, swinging it faster now.
Ravage yawned a little, Thailog's voice so soothing, the watch so addicting now, his eyes drifting with the swaying. He couldn't stop watching. "I'm... kinda... uh..." His voice trailed off, suddenly feeling the back of Thailog's hand stroking his cheek while he watched the watch sway.
Chuckling softly, Thailog lowered his voice into a seducing hypnotic tone. "Just keep following my watch. You're getting sleepy." He repeated, still stroking Ravage's cheek in a hypnotic way too. Thailog's soft tone was all Ravage could hear now, who nodded in a docile way, eyes glued to the swaying locket. It made him so dizzy, and terribly sleepy.
"I'm sure this game is making you tired little one." Thailog whispered, Ravage letting out a little whimper, the watch nearly making him sleep. His head nodded a little, body feeling very heavy and warm. Sevarius watched this all happen, a smile on his face. This really was working.
Thailog knew he had to put his victim in a trance now. "Then, why not close your eyes? Sleep?" He asked softly.
Ravage moaned, trying to keep watching the watch but it was now becoming almost impossible. Thailog thought for a moment what code word to make him fall into a trance. "You are nearly in my power. Sleep now." Thailog ordered, Ravage's head slumping down, finally entranced.
"Excellent..." Thailog exclaimed, the watch now no longer swaying. He actually had another gargoyle under his hypnotic control. "Can you hear me Ravage?"
The red male replied. "Ye, Master..." He mumbled while entranced. Hearing the word master made Thailog chuckle. "I am now in control of you. You will continue to have no memories of your old life. Got it?"
"Yes, Master," Ravage managed to say. "Alright, now, open your eyes but continue to remain in a trance. I have further instructions." Thailog now ordered.
Ravage's eyes opened, but they were rather blank while staring at his master. Thailog smiled at seeing Brooklyn this way. This was much too fun. "The only life you will know is with me. Your old clan will no longer be relevant to you. And you shall obey any command I give."
"Ye, Master, I will obey." Ravage responded like a zombie, still slumped in his chair.
Thailog nodded at his obedience. "The word which will bring you back into trance is cherry. Let that remain in your subconscious." Ravage nodded once more, the word cherry echoing inside him.
Then Thailog held up his chin. "And nobody can bring back your old memories except me for when I snap my fingers, and these orders shall not be erased by your stone sleep, got that?"
"I understand, my master," Ravage responded again, still hypnotized.
Thailog nodded. "Good slave. Now wake up." He clapped his hands, Ravage blinking awake, moaning but still having the hypnotic instructions from the entrancement. He glanced up at Thailog in confusion. "What happened?" He asked.
The clone shrugged. "You just had a little nap after looking at my watch for quite a while. But we shall try again another time. You look ready to have your stone sleep now, yes?"
Ravage couldn't really remember, but then he nodded, still rather tired. "Suppose so." He replied, unable to disobey any questions or orders now from Thailog, but he was glad to not go back to the clan who had mistreated him. "I-I want to stay here with you forever, Thailog. I never want to leave!" Ravage suddenly claimed, going in to get a hug from the dark gargoyle, who smiled, hugging his puppet back.
"Don't worry, hatchling. You will be safe with me for a long time." Thailog purred, stroking Ravage's hair while he chuckled sinisterly, looking forward to using Brooklyn in the most sadistic ways possible.
