Chapter 1

A new Brooklyn and Thailog story separate from the Kidnapped ones since this is an amnesia story.

....

On a warm night, Brooklyn himself had returned from another patrol when he was called out by Goliath.

Brooklyn stepped over to his lavender leader, who looked like he had another mission in mind for him since there were still hours of nighttime left.

"What do you want me to do now tonight, Goliath?" Brooklyn asked, a little tired but trying his best to get his energy back into his system.

Goliath eventually told him of his mission. "A criminal gang has stolen a whole bunch of money from our bank here in New York and are now trying to get away with it. Since you're my Second, this will be your first solo mission to test your endurance and strength against a foe should you be by yourself." Goliath informed.

That made the red male's eyes widen a little in surprise. "Really? Can't Lex or Broadway go with me?" He pleaded, not sure if he was fully ready to take on that many.

Goliath gave him a little smile. "I wouldn't have asked this of you if I knew you couldn't handle it. We can keep these ear radios to communicate. But try not to get lost out there before sunrise. We would like you back here in the clocktower soon." He said gently, a hand on Brook's shoulder.

Brooklyn felt a little nervous, but he had done solo patrols before. This one seemed a little more important if Goliath instructed him personally like this without the others around. He soon nodded. "Alright, I'll do it."

The lavender leader put a hand on Brooklyn's shoulder. "This is an opportunity to ensure the clan that you can be a worthy leader, but please be safe. These men I heard from Elisa wear armor should they ever encounter anybody like us."

Brooklyn's eyes widened but then he inclined his head. "I will." He next went to the edge of the battlements and took off into the night sky, hoping he could succeed and make his leader proud.

While gliding through the sky, Brooklyn scanned around the streets and above buildings, wondering where the crooks were, starting right from the source of the robbery at the bank. He landed on a roof near the building where the entrance looked pretty blown up, still smoking even, which was perfect for Brooklyn to trace them, and with his sharp eyes, he spotted three humans flying away, wearing the said armor Goliath mentioned.

"How perfect. Hope I can stop these crooks," Brooklyn muttered to himself, wishing he had Lex and Broadway around, taking to the air and following as fast as possible.

The three armored men flew quietly around the city, carrying some bags of money with them, all laughing in happiness that nobody was stopping them or so they thought. Brook kept up with them, his wings struggling to be as fast as their rockets, seeing them going into a suspicious alleyway, hoping it was a secret lair that they were meeting in.

Landing again on the roof, Brooklyn casted his ears towards what the creeps were saying. "We got lucky tonight, boys. Good thing the armor we stole from Xanatos was keepin' us safe from firearms."

Brooklyn glowered at the name of their enemy, Xanatos. He must've not had his defensives up if these low lives were able to steal the suits. He knew now these crooks had to be put in their place. Eyes glowing white, Brooklyn roared in fury, soaring down right on top of them all.

The leader had heard Brooklyn's roar, glancing up in surprise as the taloned feet tackled him to the ground.

Another man stuttered in disbelief. "W-What is that?! It's a monster!" He shouted, pointing one of his guns but Brooklyn swatted it out of his hands.

"No monster. I'm a gargoyle!" The red male bellowed, trying to toss the man away as well, but the armor felt too strong even for him. Xanatos seemed to have built it to withstand his strength.

The man then smirked when seeing this freak couldn't throw him at all. "Heh, who's the victim now?"

Brooklyn hissed until the other accomplice grabbed him by the loincloth, making Brooklyn cry out and be thrown into the leader's arms too.

The leader glared right into Brooklyn's eyes, who squirmed. "Looks like a monster needs to be put in his place. Bring out yer bat," he taunted, the second man gladly doing so while the leader turned Brooklyn around.

Brooklyn grunted and snarled, trying to reach his communicator but it wasn't working, eyes rounding in fear until soon, something hard hit him right in the back of the head. Stars winked in front of his eyes, the leader laughing sinisterly, tossing Brooklyn to the ground, who landed in a puddle, wincing in pain, falling unconscious from it.

The man who had the bat raised it high into the air, ready to smash him into a pulp. "Say good night, Freak. This will be the night you sleep forever."

Also, while gliding out on his own, Thailog had returned to New York after faking his death on the oil rig, wondering what he could do next to humiliate his three fathers, especially Goliath himself. The dark clone had made armor plates for himself too, so people could tell the difference and to do intimidation. It had taken him quite some time to make the armor, but he knew it was well worth it.

Suddenly, Thailog thought he heard some kind of scuffle going on in one alleyway. His eyes glowing red, deciding to check it out just to be curious but not really to save any lives.

Landing and creeping around a building corner, he looked into the alleyway, eyes staring at some men in armor too, beating up on somebody in there that looked like a gargoyle.

Growling, Thailog pointed his gun, having longed to kill some humans. He wasn't doing this for the gargoyle, just for himself. "Eat laser, pathetic humans!" He roared, targeting them all with the gun, making the men yell at the sight of a bigger gargoyle in their midst, taking to the sky once again.

Smirking, the dark clone shouldered his gun once the deed had been done, approaching, hoping it was Goliath who was there. Turning the body over with his foot, he gasped slightly when recognizing the beaked one he had seen while spying, looking unconscious and badly bruised with a sprained wing.

"Well, well, look who I've got here, if it isn't the beaked wonder!" sneered Thailog, nudging Brooklyn's body with his foot to see if he would wake up but apparently not.

Knowing that someone had to get him awake again but not out of kindness, Thailog decided he could take the little winged male with him back to Gen-U-Tech.

Grunting, he hauled Brooklyn in his arms bridal carry, hauling him over his shoulder too while climbing a fire escape, then taking off into the night, eager to see what he could do with Brooklyn when awake.

After some time before sunrise, Thailog managed to reach Gen-U-Tech building; seeing the doctor who created him doing some kind of business inside. He knocked on the window, giving a sly grin as Anton jumped from who could be knocking on his window, spotting his monstrous creation out there.

"Agh! Oh, Thailog... what brings you around this time to bother me? And how did you survive that oil rig explosion?" Sevarius grumbled but then blinked in surprise when Thailog hauled in a familiar beaked gargoyle. "Is-Is that Brooklyn?"

Thailog nodded, placing his prize on a bed in the room. "Yes it is 'Father'. And I have no time to explain my miraculous survival. I have a plan for how to bring Goliath down for good after he decided to reject me." He hissed, stroking Brooklyn's skin for a brief moment, smiling softly but deadly. Sevarius frowned at the idea of working with the one who had tricked both him and David before but since Thailog was rather threatening he supposed he had no choice in the matter. Thailog brushed some hair out of Brooklyn's eyes, who shifted a little, beginning to wake up.

Anton though had one more argument to make about it. "And why should I care about that when Goliath stole my old creations?" Then his eyes blinked. This could be a good time for revenge. He then smiled. "Suppose I can play along with this." He put a hand on Brooklyn's head. "He may be coming around any minute now."

Thailog nodded, his eyes flashing as he chuckled in his evil manner, seeing the eyes of Brooklyn blinking open with a groan, a hand on his head.

"Welcome back, my 'friend'," he greeted, wondering how Brooklyn would respond to being his prisoner.

But something was different in the red gargoyle's eyes. They looked rather blank, like he didn't remember anything. "Huh? What happened? And... and who am I?" He croaked, his vision rather scared, shaking in his sheets.

That startled Thailog now, not quite expecting this kind of twist.

Anton himself was confused too. "You don't remember any of us?" He asked Brooklyn, who shook his head, next staring at his talons.

"W-What am I?! Am-am I a monster?" He squeaked like a kid. When Brooklyn's vision slowly came together further, he saw Thailog's face more clearly, and jerked in a frightened manner at how scary Thailog was from his POV. "Aaah! G-Get away from me!" Brooklyn screamed at the top of his lungs, traumatized at Thailog's ghoulish appearance.

A new idea came along to Thailog at that moment, stroking his chin in thought. This memory loss could work better than just treating Brooklyn like a prisoner. He could use Brooklyn's ailment to keep him away from Goliath and finally destroy him. He smiled smugly. This could really work.
