Breakfast this morning was eggs, bacon and toast. When the waiter put it in front of me, my stomach may have grumbled which resulted in a glare from Riley and a snort from Piper.

"So tell me about his younger siblings" Piper turned to me, Reyna heard the conversation starter and turned around to listen in

"Zoe and Tyson?" She nodded

"Zoe, she can be a handful, just like Percy when he was younger. She's pretty good at lying too, once locked Percy and Tyson in a closet for 3 hours so she could have a tea party with me, without any boys disturbing. She's really cute and fun to talk to, she looks like Percy, even though they only share Sally's blood and he's the spitting image of his father. Tyson's intelligent and a gentleman. He's so sweet and a big bookworm. He wouldn't hurt a fly unless someone threatens his family, friends or home"

We continued to talk about the two of them then the topic changed to siblings

"Do you have any siblings Reyna?" Piper asked

"Yeah, an older sister Hylla. She moved out quite a time ago, she travels around the country with some other girls. I probably get a letter once or twice a month. What about you Piper?"

Piper shook her head "No, no siblings. It's just me and my dad, my mum died when I was very young, Annabeth? Any siblings?"

"3 actually. One older brother and two younger. Malcolm is my half brother with my mum and dad. He lives in Columbia with his wife Mary. He's in his late twenties. Bobby and Matthew are twins and they are 10. They're cheeky and annoying but lucky they are on a holiday with my dad and step mum, Helen, in Bonita working on some military thing. I wouldn't want them here with 20 girls, they would cause havoc"

Breakfast was over and I was waiting in the usual spot in the gardens.

The usual spot, Percy and I's sacred spot, the spot. The spot was right under a pine tree, over 15 meters tall, next to bushes that surrounded the pool. I never knew why this was the spot. It just was, Percy and I would hang out here, read and work, play and talk, laugh and cry. Deep dark secrets were shared here, this was the place to hide. The bushes covered the view from the garden doors and the only person to come here frequently during the day was the pool guy.

I heard a stick crack and turned around to find Percy arms full of all sorts of supplies. Balloons were tied to both his wrist in greens, browns and reds. He had boxes in both arms and one under his chin

"Help"

I quickly ran to his aid and grabbed the top boxes "What's this all for?"

He gave me a dry look "A party"

"No no," I shook my head, rolling my eyes "What's in the boxes?"

"Oh, decorations, presents and other stuff. Can you go to the kitchen and get the food that mum and Hestia made?"

"Yeah, I'll be back"

Walking downs the hall of the palace I couldn't but help but be with a small smile. Percy and I were back to our selves, there wasn't too much awkwardness then. Plus I was going to see one of my favourite palace staff, Hestia.

Hestia was a cook, the best, in the palace kitchens. She is always there to comfort you in any way possible, whether it be she make you brownies, give you a warm hug or just listen to you rant to your heart's content while sitting in front of her blazing fire, that she made just for you. She's in her late 20's, so very young but she's always been like an older sister that I've never had.

Walking into the kitchen I could smell the famous Hestia brownies baking and the famous Sally Jackson blue cookies cooling on a rack

Hestia saw me before I saw her "Annabeth!"

"Hestia!"

We embraced each other. Hestia has always been one of my favourite people to hug, apart from Sally and Percy. I don't know how she does it but she just has this warmth that she carry's everywhere with her. Even in summer when it's nearing 40 degrees (Celsius) and you're sweating like crazy, she still hugs you and gives you a nice calming warmth spreading through your body.

"Why, don't you look absolutely gorgeous!" She pulled back and spun me around, taking me in

"Yeah, I'm feeling it too. You look lovely as always"

"Oh stop it, Beth!"

But it was true, Hestia is one of the most beautiful human beings I had ever seen. There was nothing eye-catching about her, she didn't have unique colour eyes or hair. She had normal past the shoulders brown hair and big brown eyes. What did catch your eye was her smile, it wasn't her teeth, but the smile. It was heart-stopping and brain melting. Just her smile could light up a room. The smile just enhanced her beauty, making her more. She had a matching personality as well.

"You know I don't like the name Beth!"

"Does it matter? Have you come for the food for Percy?"

I smiled at her "Yes I have"

I followed her over to her usual workbench where she had a big basket set on top.

"So he asked for my brownies, which are just finishing. His mum made the blue cookies. I also made some small sandwiches and other desserts. Lily went out the other day and bought lollies, chips and chocolates. We'll bring the cake out when you're ready!"

I gave her a side hug "Thanks so much Hestia. Grover's going to love it!"

I helped her pack Sally's blue cookies that were done cooling

"You'll have to wait 5 more minutes for my brownies. I didn't get time, I had to make breakfast for 20 girls this morning!"

I laughed "It's all good. Percy has help"

"Speaking of Percy and the girls, how's it going Princess?"

"Honestly?"

She nodded, looking eager to hear some juicy gossip

"Honestly I know that he's been on two dates, none of which with me. I think I've already made an enemy. I think she's jealous that I'm already close to him so she's just trying to get in my head. I've gotten stares and questions from the other girls but I've made a few friendly faces and a friend. I think, wait I know, this is going to be a long run"

She reached over and held my hand "No matter what anybody else thinks or says you will always have Percy. No matter if he sends you home or you make it to the end. You can't just throw out a 17-year friendship. He will always have your back and you will always have his shoulder to lean on. He loves you Annabeth, maybe not romantically yet but he does"

"Thanks, Hestia, that helps"

There was a loud beep from the ovens, signalling that the brownies were done. She clapped her hands "That's them!" And walked over to the ovens, carefully removing them with oven mitts.

We packed them into the basket and after a quick hug, thanks and goodbye I found myself back in the hallway struggling to walk.

Who knew that so much food could be so heavy?

Still struggling to walk I dropped the food and tried to re-grab the basket in a better and more efficient way

"Need any help miss?"

I looked further down the hall to spot a tall guard walking down the hall

"Um, yes please sir. I just need to get to the gardens"

He walked closer over and grabbed one handle of the basket while I grabbed the other. This was so much easier, due to the fact I had someone helping me. It's not like I was unfit or couldn't lift heaving things, it was just this is the first time I've done so in heels and I haven't trained for that.

"Is this for a date or?" The guards asked. I swear I've heard that deep voice before

"No no. Just a birthday..." I trailed off as I looked at the guard's eyes

A cold blue that I've looked into before. How had I not noticed him yet?

"Luke?"

He stopped walking and turned around to face me with his signature smile.

"Luke!"

I dropped the basket and jumped into his arms laughing with him at my excitement

"Yes it's me, Annie"

I squealed again and hugged him closer

"Can you- Can you let go of me?"

"Sorry" I pulled back and looked at him properly

He was in the standard guard uniform, probably why I didn't recognise him the first I saw him. He had the helmet on but when I looked closer I could see parts of his sandy blonde hair poking out. Through the uniform, I could also tell he had been working out a bit more too.

"What? How? When?"

"Slow down Annabeth, I'm here. I'm working here" He gestured to his uniform "I got drafted and I came a week ago and started working 3 days ago. I was going to go look for you but the head guard said I couldn't go to the Selected, they had to come to me for help"

I hugged him again

"Calm down! I'm living here now you can see me every day!"

How could I calm down when I haven't seen Luke in nearly 2 years?

Here's the history of Luke and me:

When I was seven years old I ran away with Percy. I was going to go by myself, I had just had a big fight with my dad and I wanted to leave. I've never really had a good relationship with Fredrick Chase. I was about to jump out the window when Percy stopped me. After an argument, we both jumped out and ran. Along the way, while running through the woods Percy and I got separated. Someone found him and took him back to the palace leaving me scared and alone. Two days later a teenager found me. His name was Luke Castellan. He had run away from his dad too, so being a 7-year old I went with him. He had built a small tree house that we both shared for a week. We told each other everything about ourselves. Luke became a really close friend, really quickly. After a week of living in the tree house with him, he finally convinced me to go back to Percy. Last I saw him was in the market 2 years ago where I helped steal some bread for him. He's about 21 or 22 now, making him 3 years older than me. He was my hero and still is. I haven't admitted it to anyone, maybe not even to myself, but I have a small crush on him.

"I'm just so excited! We can see each other every day and you can meet all my friends!"

"One step at a time, let me get settled in and used to everything. I'm still getting lost"

We grabbed the basket again and talked making our way to the gardens

"And then I meet another girl who was lost and we lived together for years. She got an opportunity, so I told her to take it, she convinced me to sign up and here I am!"

We reached the pool where Percy had set up two tables with plant decorations ready for the food. He had tied the balloons around and was setting up a stereo ready for music

"Perce! I've got food!"

He didn't look up from what he was doing "Yay! Can you put it on one of the tables?"

I led Luke over to the tables and placed the basket on the table

I huffed "Thanks, Luke, that was heavier than I expected"

"No worries. I best be off"

I grabbed his arm as he was about to turn around and walk away

"No, wait. Come meet Percy"

He looked hesitant

"He's not going to bite"

He finally caved in and let me lead him over to Percy

"Seaweed brain"

"Huh?"

"I want you to meet someone"

He looked up at me and then noticed we had company. He stood up straight and walked over

"Percy this is Luke. Remember when we ran away and I told you a boy helped me? This is him. He got drafted last week"

Percy tensed under hearing the name Luke but stuck out his hand anyway "Nice meeting you Luke. I've heard lots about you"

"You to your highness"

"Well Luke, I have to help him set up. He probably forgot something so I'll see you soon"

I hugged him again "Yeah see ya, Annie. Bye your highness"

"Bye"

Once Luke was out of sight Percy turned back to me

"Annie?"

"What? You still can't call me that"

"And he can?"

"Yes" I walked back over to the tables getting out foods with Percy standing behind me

"Why?" He whined like a little kid

"You can call me Wise Girl, he can call me Annie. Done? Done"

"But-"

"No buts, help me finish getting this food. People will get here soon"

He grumbled something I couldn't hear but helped me with the food anyway.

1) What Ships do you want? Caleo, Jiper, Frazel, Thaluke? What ships do you want to sail by the end of this? Maybe I could get solangelo or Tratie in here too!

2) How do you feel about POV changes? I realise that because Annabeth and Percy know so much about each other, you won't get to know a lot about the characters. If every now and then I write a bit about Percy going on a date with Rachel or Calypso would that be ok? Just so then you learn something new about a character.

3) I'm trying to divide the days into different chapters. I find it easier for me to write. Smaller chapters than one huge one. Is this ok?

4) Any question from you guys?
