I woke up to a feeling of dread. The skeleton who looked almost exactly like me except for a few things was standing over me with a knife in his hand. I stared up at him in fear and all he did was stare back.

"Get up." is all he said before walking out of my room. It took me a moment to process what had happened, but then I remembered what was said yesterday about a big mission I'd have today. 

I sat up, still a bit shaken by what had happened, and stretched before I walked out. Nightmare had given me a quick tour the other day, but I was still new so it took me a while to find his throne room. I peeked in to make sure it was the right room, and saw Nightmare sitting while reading something. I knocked on the door, and I saw him gesture lazily with one of his tentacles for me to come in, so I did. "I assume you took a while because Killer was too lazy to show you to this room." I nodded in response and he gave me an annoyed sigh. "I'll let you off this time with a warning, but don't be late now that you know where to go in the future." I let out a gulp and nodded again.

I noticed that Chara's side of our shared mind woke up. Good, I would probably need his help with whatever we're gonna be doing today.

"I normally prefer not to destroy aus without reason, that's what Error does. He refuses to join our group and works solo, but I still would hate to annoy him in case he changes his mind. But, in order to prove your worth, I'm going to have you destroy Dancetale. It's a disgustingly positive au full of happy individuals that love music, and obviously dancing. Now, go." Nightmare didn't give either of us a chance to react before he opened a portal and shoved us through it with a tentacle. What, we were going to have to kill innocent people now? This sucked. Chara and I lost our own au because of.. someone. I don't want to be part of the same pain that we both have felt for a.. very long time.

Then I realized, I could use our knife to collect pieces of these other aus in order to eventually restore our own au. Sure, I'd be sacrificing lives of other people, but I wouldn't torture them in the same way that the someone tortured us. I'd make sure to kill everyone as quick as possible. So, with this new realization and decision, I stabbed my knife into the ground of the au, slowly dragging it along. I tried to stay hidden so that I wouldn't have to battle anyone directly, but I would surely cause a panic eventually. This is such a happy au, I can already hear the music from far away. It makes me feel bad, but at the same time it annoys me.

After a while, I had covered the majority of the au in a huge X mark. I began walking to the middle of the X, and once I reached it, I stabbed the knife into it, causing a huge calamity to happen. It was almost like.. I was vacuuming the au up into the knife. Weird way to phrase it, I know. Soon enough, the entirety of the au was gone, even though I had to go to a few missed parts and vacuum them up more manually, the whole place was gone. It was now one huge blank white slate, similar to our own home... I tried to shake the thought out of my head.

Wait, how would we get back now? Shit. He didn't send us here just to destroy the au and never get us back, right? I wouldn't be surprised, though.. he seems like the type of guy to give someone hope and then take it all away again. I tried to stay calm, but I began to have a panic attack which was out of my control. It was understandable, both Chara and I had a lot of PTSD from what happened before.

Then, suddenly, I heard a voice behind me and I jumped around in shock, it was Nightmare.

"Well, well, well, looks like you actually were up to the task. Glad you didn't disappoint me yet again." I let out a sigh of relief when I realized it was just him, and I felt a strange feeling of happiness as well. He really didn't leave us behind, does that mean I was useful? I shouldn't think too much of it, he's using both me and Chara for his own gain, of course he's not just going to throw us to the side. Still, I couldn't help but feel.. happy.

"Come, I'm taking you back since you proved your worthiness to me, your master." I had a slight purple blush at the word 'master', but I guess he wasn't wrong, he technically is my master afterall if you think about it, but it still seemed like an odd term to me. I shook the thought out of my head and followed him back through a portal.

Let's hope the rest of today won't be a weird day.
