Chapter 19: Stories

The Avengers stared at her with interest. "I didn't know he had an ex-girlfriend? How long were u guys together?", Steve asked curiously, but clearly suspicious of her. "A year and a half.", Lucy answered, picking at her red nails. "Why'd you break up?", Bruce asked her, he didn't trust her, but oh well; he didn't trust Loki either. "He dumped me.", she replied, sounding angrier by the second. "Yeah, well he's a bastard, nothing we didn't already know.", Clint said, "Tell us what happened.". He tried to be of comfort, but it was really just the thing they all wondered. She smiled sadly and sat down, so did the rest.

A long time ago in the beautiful realm of Asgard there was a handsome prince called Thor. Every girl wanted to marry him or his little brother. His little brother was called Loki and he was mysterious and playful unlike his older brother Thor who was more serious. All the girls (or boys) wanted to marry Thor, but they secretly all wanted to be Loki's and he knew it. They wanted to be his, his girlfriend, even a greeting coming from him would make some faint. One of the girls was called Lucy or Lucifer as some people might know her better. She was a beautiful girl, special, because she was born with wings. Intrigued by the girl loki went to see for himself if it was true and sure, there she was; flying in the air. Lucy noticed him looking at her and fell inlove with him just like everyone else, but there was something more. He desired her aswell as she him, but he wanted to own her. So, she let him because she was convinced he was her soulmate. But as time passed she got into more and more trouble with her newfound love, but because he was the prince she always took the blame when they were caught, but he would do the same for her, right?  As their relationship passed 6 months, he pushed her off the highest balcony without warning. She would've crashed to death, even with wings, if Sif hadn't caught her. Sif and Lucy became best friends after that. After a year passed, Loki threw his girlfriend into a lavapit, filled with the hottest fire and watched her burn. She got severe burns from the lavapit. Somehow she survived, but her clothes burned and when she walked out she was humiliated by tons of Asgardians, but still she loved him more than anything. In her head she desperately told herself it wasn't his fault, that he did what he had to do. She ended up with burns, bruises and scars, but Lucy didn't mind. She loved him. But soon enough Loki grew bored of the girl, he already did everything he wanted to do to her. So, he broke it off  with her and went to his father, crying and saying she had cheated on him. Lucy was absolutely devastated when King Odin's guards dragged her upto the palace. She was brought to the lowest of basements, where Odin, Thor and Loki were already waiting for her. The girl begged for her life as she was placed in a symbol of blood, looking her ex-boyfriend right in the eyes. Next to her was her father, just a simple farmer. He too was begging for mercy. "I, Odin, God of war and King of Asgard, bannish you to the void to rule on your own with your father. You harmed my son, the Prince's, feelings which is a crime.", Odin spoke before the ritual would commence. Loki looked Lucy dead in the eye and said: "Don't forget to cut off her wings, so she doesn't fly back.". He grinned as they cut them off and burned them. Then she was engulfed by black smoke just like her father. Lucy was devastated for days and cried all the time, but her father built a realm while she was mourning. A Walhalla for the bad souls, a place where he was king. Lucy, still sad, decided to move on and be the princess she was meant to be with or without Loki. When her dad died she became Queen of Hell, but deep down she knew she'd never recover from the dark-haired Prince called Loki.

"Wow, that's deep. I can't believe he did that to you! That's definitely not the Loki I know, he must've really changed because of Thor and Jane and everything that happened.", Natasha said. She, like the rest, didn't trust the Queen of Hell, but again it was her job to be suspicious of everyone. She nodded and grinned. "Well, it was the Loki I fell inlove with. I wonder what he's like now.". As they finished their acquintances and small talk, they filled her in on the situation. Then they started working on a plan and training the Asgardian army.

Meanwhile------------->

"What are you doing here Loki!?", Erik Selvig asked, pointing a gun at his head. The Prince sighed and sat down on a chair at the kitchentable. "As I said, I need your help.", he said. "Oh with destroying my world by any chance?", the scientist hissed angrily at the God. "No, with saving mine.", Loki said, sadly looking into his eyes. "What's wrong now? Another war you've caused?", Erik replied angrily. Like Clint, he wasn't just angry at the Trickster, he was also scared of him. Loki stood up starting to get frustrated, but he tried to stay as calm as he possibly could; after all he would prefer not to have a bullet in his head. "Look, I might be the cause, but I'm not the one who started it! It's a guy called Nathan, he was an Asgardian guard. He killed Thor, beat up Darcy, and kidnapped Jane. Help me avenge my brother and save Jane.". His fists were clenched and he looked determined. Erik agreed reluctantly since Thor was his friend too and he put down the gun. Loki then filled him in on everything that had happened with Nathan, the zohelb, and Kvonarea. He might've 'accidentally' forgotten to tell him about him and Jane.

Back in Asgard---------->

"Okay, so we all agree on that?", Clint checked with the other members and they all nodded. "Hey guys, I just remembered we still have Nathans brother held captive for questioning. His name is Damio, does anyone want to go check what he knows?", Queen Sif asked suddenly.

As Bruce and Steve walked downstairs to the dungeons, Bruce tried to open up to his friend. "Uh Steve? What do you think about Loki's ex-girlfriend, Lucy? Do you think she's telling the truth?", he sighed nervously. The Blonde looked at him, surprised, "Oh? I'm surprised you are so hesitant about her! She seems trustworthy, don't you think?", he asked. The scientist shook his head reluctantly, he didn't know. The lady quite scared him actually, but he wouldn't admit it. He was the Hulk afterall, but he felt like something was wrong with her story. Like something didn't quite fit, but he still wasn't sure what. "Actually, I don't think Loki would be cruel enough to do all that. Yeah sure, he was pretty much evil before, but he didn't believe in killing slowly. Don't you think we should wait for him before we take any conclusions?", he sighed again, this time frustrated because of Steve's naïvety, he rubbed his head. "Well, she does seem a bit strange and curious since like you said Loki goes for a quick kill, but then again we can't rule out the fact the story is true because it probably happened before we were even born, you know with the whole immortality thing. We'll have to take him apart before he sees her to ask him.", Steve said. They were nearing the dungeons, but there had been a lot of stairs and there were still some to go. "That's actually not a bad idea Cap, should we tell the others before they start to trust her too much? Because they might not believe Loki if he has another story. Hell, they're probably going to be soooo angry at him for something he may not have done!", Bruce desperately said. He tried to be a good guy as much as he could. "Well Bruce, why don't we wait until after the interrogation to handle that since there's still a long way back up. It'll be hard to deal with.", Steve advised, "But we're here now, so we'll have to continue this later.".

He opened the doors. The first thing they could see was an old cell with a hole in the laser-like cell. There was furniture in the cell, unlike the others. "Must've been Loki's old cell.", Bruce observed smartly.Next to the cell was Thor's hammer, since nobody worthy had tried to pick it up it was still there. They walked all the way to the end of the corridor and entered the cell on the right. Inside they found a young man with a small beard. "Damio, I'm Steve and this is Bruce. We're here to ask you a few questions about your brother brother Nathan. Is that okay?", Captain America asked him. The Prisoner nodded and lowered his eyes. "Are you and your brother close?", Bruce said, reading the questions from his iPad.

"Well not exactly, I always had a certain level of authority over him because I was the older brother, but he always wanted to correct me, fight me, Test my limits. He always wanted to be better than me no matter what, and find all my flaws. It was difficult for him to be a bastard, I don't blame him.", he said, looking up again.

"Bastard?", Steve asked, confused. "Uh yes? It's when two people have a baby, but the two people are not married. Our mother cheated on our father and well, Nathan was the result of this affair.". Steve raised an eyebrow and looked at Bruce who whispered: "Like in Game of Thrones.". He nodded. "Okay, next question. Has he ever seemed off or done anything suspicious lately?", the scientist asked.

"Well as I said we are not very close, but I did notice he started training every single moment of the day. I never really saw him do anything else. He was already immensily strong before when we used to fight or train. I would always win, but barely, and not because I am stronger than him because I am not, but because he does not have any real tactics. If he ever finds a fight strategy, he will be unstoppable. I had been expecting something from him, but not this.", he responded.

The two Avengers looked at eachother as if preparing themselves. "Do you think he might try to contact you or free you?", Captain America asked. The Prisoner shook his head.

"I do not know. I have never really quite understood his logic, but he might try to free me just so I owe him. He has always been smarter than most kids his age, but too naïve to and full of himself to realise it or make a difference.". Steve gulped but asked the final question. "Who's bastard is he?".

"I do not know,", Damio answered, "But Nathan found out who his real father was and he was determined to impress him. He told me he was going to tell me right before he left for Midgard, but as you know he never returned. I could tell he was very proud of whoever his father is or was, but there was an angry lustful tone in his voice too, which slightly scares me.".

They thanked Damio and left the dungeons. "Seemed like a nice guy that Damio. I wonder where it went wrong with Nathan.", Cap confessed to Bruce, who quickly responded since he was quite in the brainstorming mood.

"I wonder where it went wrong with Loki. Actually if you think about, they are both quite similar.".

Hello my vanilla scented candles!! I hope you liked this chapter! What do you think about Lucifer? She's quite some lady. I updated the cover of the book and I really like it, do you like it too? Anyways sounds like Nathan is a bastard, but who's bastard? And so similar to Loki, but slightly less psychotic though. Anyways I wonder why that is.

I've been obsessed with the Netflix Fear Street trilogy recently, check it out! I've seen Part one: 1994 and Part two: 1978. I'm so excited for Part three: 1666. Especially since I have the books from R.L. Stine. SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOODDDD.

Anyways toodles <3

*mic drop*
