It's a Date.
Arthur sighed. No sign of Alfred, unfortunately a certain frog refused to sit anywhere else but next to him. The annoying albino sat in one of the seats in front of the Brit. Arthur sighed again and placed his head in his arms. A few minuets later, he heard the door creaking open. Arthur whipped his head up. 'Alfred?' A boy with brown hair and green eyes entered the classroom.
"Hola, sorry I'm late!" The Spaniard took a seat next to the white haired demon and they both chuckled about things that Arthur didn't care about. The door opened once again, but Arthur didn't look up this time, until he heard his voice.
"Hey Arthur, can I sit next to you?" Arthur looked into the safire eyes that was Alfred's. Alfred looked confused, and...tired? No...yes? Alfred looked at Francis with a pleading look on his face. "How about it Francey pants?!" Alfred clasped his hands together and begged. The French bastard didn't even hesitate when he said, "Non. I am sitting with Arthur today, stupid American! Go sit with that other boy! Honda!" Francis shooed him away. Alfred looked at him with wide eyes.
'Why was he being so mean all of a sudden? We were friends....right? Why must everyone pick on me today...' Alfred held back his previous tears and smiled. "O-Okay, whatever you say, dude!" Alfred turned around and bit his tongue. Alfred sat three seats closer to the front, and shared a table with a quiet Japanese boy named Kiku. Alfred set his stuff down and got as comfortable as he could get. Alfred put in his music, hoping to drown out the teacher.
Arthur smacked the French boy in the back of the head. Hard.
"Sacé Bleu!" The frog shouted in surprise, and held the back of his head in pain. "Arthur why!?"
"Because you fucking idiot! I told you you could sit here until Alfred came back! Now you have made him upset! Now get up and apologise!" Arthur crossed his arms. "GO!" Arthur pointed to Alfred.
Francis sighed in anger while he got up. He shuffled over to where the sulking american sit. "Ehem." The frog cleared his throat to gain the others attention. It didnt work, Alfred continued to doodle on his noteoad, listening Uptown Funk and happily bobbing his head. Francis sighed in irritation and ripped his ear buds out. Alfred jumped in his seat, startled, and turned around to see who it was.
"I am sorry Alfred. You may sit with your...boyfriend." France's dull voice isn't what shocked him. Alfred blushed fiercely, as well as Arthur.
"H-He is not my boyfriend!"Alfred shouted. Arthur didn't say anything. He was too busy choking on his embarrassment to say a word.
Alfred gathered his stuff quickly and sat next to Arthur, who was still blushing like hell. Arthur slammed his head on the table, which made a sickening thump. He winced in pain.
"Yo, Iggy!" Alfred shook the Brits shoulders while he sat down. "Don't kill your brain boogerz! You gotta make up for mine!" Alfred laughed and turned his head to the teacher while she spoke.
"Okay class, put your notes away and turn your attention to the front of the classroom. We will be watching a clip on chemical reactions."
Arthur turned his head to the side to look at the boy next to him. 'Is his face red? Was he blushing too?Had he been crying? Is that why he was late?' Arthur continued to stare at the American until he was interupted. The lights dimmed and a clip started playing. He didn't care much for it so he turned his head back to Alfred.
Arthur whispered. "Alfred where on earth have you been? Class is already half over."
Alfred glanced in his direction... and for a brief moment... he looked sad. His expression quickly turned back to the carefree face he usually has. "Don't worry about it Iggs...just had to talk with the teach."
Arthur knew the dumbass was lying. He dicided to not press any further on the subject.
When the bell rang Alfred immidietly grabbed onto Arthur's arm and spun him around to face him. Arthur swatted the Americans hand away and sighed.
"What is it Alfred?"
"Oh ..do you think...since we both have home ec today...can we take the long way around?".
Arthur raised his fluffy brow. "The long way? Well...as long as we are not late to class it's fine with me." Arthur picked up his things and placed them into his napsack.
Alfred smiled nervously and lead the way out the door. The long way meant they went through the schools garden. But since it was fall...nearly winter...it was...pretty dead, and really spooky. But Alfred would never admit that.
The two walked side by side down the hall, down the stairs and across the courtyard to the gardens in complete silence. The silence was broken when Alfred cleared his throat.
"Hey...Iggy...I might not be able to walk you to some of your classes anymore..."
"My name is Arthur...and...why is that?" Arthur furrowed his brows in concern.
"Oh...aha..well...I've just been late so many times that my teachers will bust my ass if I'm late again." He laughed.
"Ah...I see.." Arthur looked at the leaf coloured ground in front of him. He listened to the crunch of them beneath his feet as he walked. 'He's lying again...what is that bloke up too?'
"Also...Arthur? Um...I was wondering if you would ah... go to the movies with me?... Possibly? Maybe??? I mean you don't have to! But...ah..nevermind...its...its stupid anyways..." Alfred picked up his pace and blushed.
Arthur blushed as well, then chuckled at the boys nervousness. "It's a date then." Alfred stopped in his tracks and looked behind him at Arthur. Arthur kept walking past him. A clear smile on his face.
"A-Artie? I-I didn't s-say it was a d-d-date!" Alfreds blush darkened.
"Come along Alfie...we have a class to get too!"
Alfred wondered what was on the brits mind. He was in a very good mood today. So he decided he was just going to roll with it.
